For me it's always the Twilight Saga. Then full on snot filled tissues when Edward's piece of music (Bella's Theme?) that he wrote for Bella.

I read the books before watching the films, and they too made me weep.

I know... I'm a sentimental nitwit.

Seabiscuit, only have to watch the last 5 minutes

SparklingPearls · 20/12/2016 22:10

The Notebook!

Eminybob · 20/12/2016 22:12

Pretty much everything I watch. I cried at the end of eastenders yesterday because a baby walked for the first time Hmm

But most notably, Titanic, every time.

And The Impossible. I've only seen it once but it was so incredibly traumatic that I cried from start to finish non stop.

aurorie11 · 20/12/2016 22:15

An affair to remember, when Cary Grant's character realises why Deborah Kerr's character didn't meet him

permanentlyexhaustedpigeon · 20/12/2016 22:19

In the Name of the Father - oh yes.
The Wind That Shakes The Barley
Song of the Sea. Pretty much all the way through.
Whale Rider - the only film I've seen DH 'have something in his eye' at..
How To Train Your Dragon 2 - funeral scene

I don't know anyone that hasn't cried at Up.

SprogletsMum · 20/12/2016 22:20

Pretty much all of these.
I watched me before you last night and that made me cry.
AI affected me so badly I just couldn't shake the sadness off for ages after, I'll never ever watch it again.

CoodleMoodle · 20/12/2016 22:29

Agree with a lot of the others mentioned, especially Beaches. There's also an awful TV movie called Mom at Sixteen, which I've sat through twice and been reduced to a jibbering wreck both times.

Kids films always get me, the worst is Brave... Wept in the cinema. I watched it again when DD was a few months old and howled even more. (I also sobbed at the end of Smurfs 2 Blush but I was early pregnant with DD that time.)

thefourgp · 20/12/2016 22:36

The Last of the Mohicans. That end scene was shot so well. I cry every time.

gluteustothemaximus · 20/12/2016 22:51

How could I forget pixars inside out. That end scene with riley and her parents. In bits every time!

Yes to toy story 3 holding hands. And finding nemo when dory doesn't want marlin to leave her. Because when she looks at him, she's home.

gluteustothemaximus · 20/12/2016 22:55

Or disneys cinderella live action when her mum dies. And again when her dad dies. Opening ten minutes and I'm in bits.

Birdlet · 20/12/2016 23:00

Atonement. The scene on the beach at Dunkirk - especially the soldiers singing in the bandstand. Gets me every bloody time Sad

ImLadybird · 20/12/2016 23:08

When a Man Loves a Woman (Meg Ryan & Andy Garcia) balled my eyes out in the cinema!

Not film but TV, the last episode of Dexter. Watched it recently and cried like a baby! Felt shit all the next day. Had binged watched all 8 seasons on Netflix over about two weeks so was a bit intense!

Harry Potter when Dumbledore dies. And at the end when Harry leaves the castle and walks into the forest. Book more than movie.

mmack · 20/12/2016 23:08

I also burst into tears at the end of American Sniper, Formerly Frikadela.
The films I think I cried most at were The English Patient, The Notebook, The Outsiders, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, The Killing Fields, Once were Warriors, Million Dollar Baby and Shadowlands. I always tear up at the end of The Great Escape as well.

ImLadybird · 20/12/2016 23:11

Oh, and The Lion King when Mufasa dies.

MsMarvel · 20/12/2016 23:12

Sweet home Alabama makes me cry every time, when she's at the pet graveyard talking to the dogs grave. Always sob at that bit.

And also yes to just about all of the ones mentioned already. I love a good cry.

SarahOoo · 20/12/2016 23:20

A Little Princess, every time and I'm 32 years old.

menarefrommarzipan · 20/12/2016 23:20

another one for The Colour Purple. Makes me "ugly cry" every time.

melissacx9 · 20/12/2016 23:29

The Lion King - there's a lot of moments in it that get to me now that I think about it, but the moment that ALWAYS makes me cry is at the very end of the film, when Simba returns to Pride Rock & has defeated Scar. Just the music as it shows him walking up Pride Rock has my lip going, and when Mufasa's voice says 'Remember' - god, I crumble.

I've always been a sucker for Disney films though.

Muffinbutton · 20/12/2016 23:36

Hachi: A Dog's Tale is a proper full on weepy. Never cried so much watching a film.

WanderingTrolley1 · 20/12/2016 23:39

The color purple
The green mile
The English patient

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 20/12/2016 23:51

Not a film but Royle Family Queen of Sheba really gets me every time. When Nana is singing and Barbara is crying behind her. Also when Barbara can't wake her up and she shouts for Jim. The acting is superb.

staggeringaroundthexmastree · 20/12/2016 23:54

Yy Queen of Sheba brilliant episode. I really miss Royal family.

ammaismyhero · 21/12/2016 00:04

Can't believe no one has said Terms of Endearment or Shadowlands. Debra Winger dying in both.

fallenempires · 21/12/2016 00:13

Yy to the Royle's but remember the episode when Denise goes into labour & they have the scene in the bathroom just Dad & daughter?
Terms of Endearment
Schindler's List
Forrest Gump(even the opening music gets me as I know what's coming, jeeze all of us blubbed in the cinema)
The Snowman(ok ,until James goes out to find a melted puddle then I'm off big time.DC's find it hilarious!)
The Deer Hunter
The Bridges of Madison County

fallenempires · 21/12/2016 00:14

X post there yes,yes!
