For me it's always the Twilight Saga. Then full on snot filled tissues when Edward's piece of music (Bella's Theme?) that he wrote for Bella.

I read the books before watching the films, and they too made me weep.

I know... I'm a sentimental nitwit.

It’s a Wonderful Life
Schindler’s List - especially at the end, when he is standing in front of them and questions why he didn’t save more, sell his car.
Gone with the Wind - Melly dying and Rhett leaving - a double whammy
The Way we Were

One More Kiss is the last one that made me realise I had my ugly crying face on as nobody was watching haha. (I cried for the wife though, during the opera scene. X)

Me before you, The notebook, The fault in our stars and Of mice and men. I am sure there are many more but these are the only ones I can remember from the top of my head.

ankasi · 19/10/2018 15:42

Some have been mentioned already:

The Fault in Our Stars
The Impossible

please don't laugh: Mamma Mia, Here we Go again - the Christening Scene at the end
Reminds me of my niece's Christening and how my parents were so missed that day

Marley and Me, when they carry Marley out of the house, the same way a family dog was carried out

And a German Christmas Commercial from two (?) years ago, where the dad/granddad had very lonely Christmases until he pretended to have died so his children would come home.
Very manipulative, but gets me every time I see it

MumUnderTheMoon · 23/10/2018 19:02

Flowers ankasi.

I sobbed throughout that scene, for similar reasons. And for most of the drive home. It’s a film I won’t be watching again, too traumatised 😢

A star is born, think the whole cinema was crying when Lady Gaga sang I will never love again at the end 😭

FrauleinF · 16/11/2018 09:15

Lots of the films already mentioned - particularly the last five minutes or so of Schindler's List.

Two other scenes that reduce me to a snotty mess are:

The Sixth Sense - where Toni Collette and Hayley Joel Osment are in the car at the end after the bike crash and he tells her about talking to grandma from beyond the grave.

Good Will Hunting - the park bench scene where Robin Williams takes Matt Damon to task and talks so passionately about his love for his late wife.

Am off to look up a load of YouTube clips for a blubfest now...

I have a new one -

Creed

Was introduced to the rocky films as a youngster thinking I'd be bored rigid watching a boxing film - how wrong I was they're part of my lifetime filmography now.

Then when I saw who they'd chosen to play creed I knew I'd love it.

I first saw Michael b Jordan in small parts in bones and lie to me and he just burst out of the screen! Impossible not to be captivated by his performances.

So I wiki'd him and read about

Fruitvale station (now THAT will make you cry) and by chance it was showing on telly a couple days later.

Again totally blown away by his performance. So watching creed when it was on Netflix was a no brainer. It was on itv2 tonight and it's on again next sat. Highly recommend especially to any who loved the rocky films.

I'm also gonna say I think the actor playing creed I definitely expect to get a major award of some kind very soon if not an actual Oscar, he certainly is capable of it.
