For me it's always the Twilight Saga. Then full on snot filled tissues when Edward's piece of music (Bella's Theme?) that he wrote for Bella.

I read the books before watching the films, and they too made me weep.

I know... I'm a sentimental nitwit.

Philidelphia. Every single time without fail.

IsabelleSE19 · 20/12/2016 17:22

Shawshank Redemption. Trouble is, I've seen it so many times that I start crying early in anticipation of the weepy bits, so if I ever watch it with someone who's never seen it they might think I'm a bit weird.

Also, not sure if it would have the same effect now, but Titanic made me do loud embarrassing gaspy sobs in the cinema. In the Ladies afterwards there were loads of women all in a right state, so it wasn't just me!

The Railway Children at the "Daddy, my daddy" moment.
And I cried at The Snowman the other day, when the singing starts.

TroysMammy · 20/12/2016 17:24

Greyfriars Bobby. The dog doesn't die and I don't even have a dog!

iamaswashbuckler · 20/12/2016 17:29

Beaches gets me every time

IsabelleSE19 · 20/12/2016 17:29

Ooh, forgot Philomena. Furious rage crying in that one. Was explaining the story to my brother the other day and couldn't actually get the words out because I was crying too much remembering it. Xmas Blush

ElsaAintAsColdAsMe · 20/12/2016 17:30

Oh I cry at beaches too.

staggeringaroundthexmastree · 20/12/2016 17:37

Hatchico (sp?) and Marley and me. Sad

User543212345 · 20/12/2016 17:39

Brassed Off. Proper snotty sobbing tears every time.

af2000 · 20/12/2016 17:41

Not a film, but an episode of Grand Designs made me cry from start to finish once. A young couple, husbands lifelong dream to build a house for his family, had just been diagnosed with cancer when Kevin McLoud went to visit them initially, the husband died a few weeks later, he was only in his early thirties. That started me off crying. If that wasn't sad enough his wife then went on to build the house in his honour and all these wonderful people rallied around her and helped her get it built. By the end I was an absolute wreck.

SapphireStrange · 20/12/2016 17:41

The Railway Children at the "Daddy, my daddy" moment.

Yes, the bastards.

Truly Madly Deeply, when George the ratcatcher realises she's talking to her dead partner and says '"And death shall have no dominion." We know that, don't we, me and you?'

2cats2many · 20/12/2016 17:42

Beaches
Steel Magnolias
Marley and Me

All the cliches really.

ExplodingCarrots · 20/12/2016 17:44

The green mile
A walk to remember
Gladiator
A little princess (Blush)
Lovely bones

WarwickDavisAsPlates · 20/12/2016 17:52

Juno, I start crying about 10 mins into the film because I know the bit I usually cry at is coming up.

The green mile.

The kite runner (I also cry when I'm reading the book)

Fred Clause (I was on my period don't judge me)

Harry brown, when he has to play chess on his own after his mate is killed.

Tarzan.

A.I

First Gump...

I asked DH if there were any more and he suggested I just post a link to every film that's ever been made... dickhead.

franke · 20/12/2016 17:54

Railway Children
Toy Story 3 (at the end when grown up Andy gives the toys to the little girl)

gluteustothemaximus · 20/12/2016 17:56

Titanic - the end
Schindlers List - when he realises he could have saved more
Patch Adams - reading the poem he never finished at her grave
Shawshank
The Green Mile

more embarrassingly, childrens films.

Up - when she miscarries
Tangled - when flynn dies
Dumbo - when mum rocks dumbo in cage
Brave - when merida thinks the magic hasn't worked and her mum will stay a bear
Lion king - when he looks at the stars and shouts 'you said you'd be there for me!'

There's more no doubt. I cry at anything sad!

InCaseWeNeverMeetAgain · 20/12/2016 17:56

The notebook

Pollyanna Blush

Madam x (Lana Turner).

I'm not really a crier at films usually, but some things just get me.

I can't possibly watch Dumbo again now I'm a mother...

Titanic made me sob in the cinema, along with all the other teenagers (and others!) there.

gluteustothemaximus · 20/12/2016 17:57

Oh yes! Forrest Gump and Gladiator Sad

Cagliostro · 20/12/2016 17:57

A walk to remember.

likewhatevs · 20/12/2016 18:04

I remember watching this film called 'losing Isiah' a few years back. Jessica Lange and Halle Berry. Tears dripping down my face...
