He said, of female journalist Ava Evans: "Show me a single self-respecting man that would like to climb into bed with that woman - ever, ever. That little woman has been fed, spoon-fed oppression day after day after day. And she's sat there and I'm going like, 'If I met you in a bar and that was like sentence three, [the] chances of me just walking away are just huge." He then added: "Who'd want to shag that?"

That Little Woman??? Why is he reducing her value to whether or not he would have sex with her - firstly what the fuck has that got to do with her worthiness as a human being or indeed her job as a journalist. Secondly, why is he arrogantly assuming that she WANT to shag him anyway, I've no doubt she wouldn't touch that loathsome prick with a shitty stick.

He also goes on to say ""We need powerful strong, amazing women who make great points for themselves." Sorry, what?? A woman made a point you didn't agree with and the first thing you did was mock, degrade and dehumanise her. Stop back-peddling, it's too late - we see you, you sexist prick.

Fox isn't like this because he is right wing he's like this because he is a particular sort of male. We see that sort of male across the political and ideological spectrum.

I'll refer you back to all the rapey threats JKR received because some men (presumably to the left of Fox) made because they don't like her opinions.

This is standard behaviour by some men towards women who have annoyed them or they think are lesser in some way. Granted most have the sense not to be quite so blatant on TV.

As for women 'aligning' ourselves - we are quite capable of independent thought and indeed were having many conversations about sex being a reality back when Fox was still busy being an actor. I can guarantee that no women here only think sex is immutable because Fox told them to think that.

Maybe you are not aware that the term 'GC' was actually originally 'gender critical feminist'. It was first used for feminists who rejected gender stereotypes being used to define a person's sex.

Your use of 'GC' here is quite lazy and you perhaps don't realise that extreme trans activists have now made the term completely meaningless. Because those activists now include a huge group of diverse people who are NOT feminists. And many of those people wrongly labelled "GC' are people who support gender stereotypes. So, therefore, the term is meaningless.

Extreme trans activists have used the term to loosely group anyone who believes that sex is immutable. Regardless of that group's motivation. That is where the laziness of your accusation lies.

Just because a person believes that sex is immutable, doesn't mean they are 'aligned' with feminists on this issue. How strange though that people continue to try this.

I quite like GB news and occasionally watch and like their free speech/ varied opinions allowed, stance.

I think the issue here isn't free speech but incivility. You can have free speech but be expected to conduct yourself civilly when exercising it, and insulting people, belittling people and being crude is not civil.

There are also different rules for civility depending on the context, and news television is not the context for this type of 'shagging' 'banter'. A level of professionalsim is required.

LF is sharing that Av Evans joked about shagging people on twitter as if this is equivalent. It's not because twitter is a personal interaction and allows you to judge the realstionship and whether you can joke about these things without offendign others or not. And you take the consequences if you do offend, not a news organisation.
News Tv is not the place for this.
