Well ds2 was up every 2 hours last night then at 5am decided that he wouldnt sleep alone so I ended up in his cot for 30mins lying down with him til he fell asleep in his own bed! Think it might of been a bit cold in his room last night even though I checked the temperature card I dont think its reliable. So at 6am I decided to sod trying to sleep,I would have a shower in peace (virtually a no no for me) so I have actually had a good start to the day, blow dried my hair had breakfast done 3 loads of washing already, put bins out and phoned my mum (it was her dad that died). Woohoo. Now I know how these supermums do it, they sacrafice sleep. I can quite categorically state that I do not intend to do this EVER AGAIN!!!

Yes Teabreak I am sorry about your Grandad. Know what you mean about getting up early and doing your jobs. My friends does it every day but I am way too lazy for that. I like to have a liein on my day off. Chin up though, I am thinking about you.xx

hi........teabreakgirl so sorry about your grandad x well i am not doindo well at the moment, have an appointment on monday with the gp, am currently on 20mg of citalopram and have been for a few months now but i just feel so shitty. I havent been sleeping and i have reverted to feeling like i used to before i started the ADs....well maybe not as bad as before but not far off. I just feel so incompetant at the moment, i dont want to do anything at all, if i could i would just stay in bed. I am crying at the drop of a hat and just want to feel normal...if it's possible

Thanks Twigy. I was so tired this afternoon that I had to go to bed for an hour at 3pm. DP was not impressed. Lol!! But if I slept straight through til 6am maybe I wouldn't get so tired but ds2 woke up every 2 hours again last night for some strange reason. Normally he wakes up twice. Thats something that we plan to work on over the summer.

Fawke, I struggled too on 20mg, but have been on 40mg for a while now and things are getting better (only don't tell my work that ). I am sleeping MUCH better. I still feel very tired at times, but I am having a decent amount of sleep. So, consider upping the dose maybe.

ive been on 20mg for 10 years now and doctor now put me down to 10mg i feel awful

this could be because of my ear too though just wanna be me again , good old bubbly ktmoomoo again , i not seen me for so long now , i crying as i type this , i so fed up

I'm here, sorry haven't been on recently so don't know what the problem with your ear is, but its now going to help you if you physically don't feel right.
Has it been the reduction in medication that has made you feel awful or were you feeling awful on the 20mg?

Had a really bad night yesterday - nearly hit the self destruct button and totally lost it with the kids when they wouldn't go to bed , but they are Ok and much better behaved today

Close friend died suddenly on Wed night, dh has been away since last Sat and work awful - desk moved Friday so I will be sitting next to the bully that started all this last year Not sure I can face going in on Tuesday but will deal with that Tues am - at least dh will be back

Mother being a complete pain too - rang her to cancel coffee this am as couldn't face it in case kids badly behaved and she had a real go as she said that otherwise she would have no-one to talk to all weekend felt like telling her to get a life but she is really on the edge at the moment with chemo etc

Oh well tomorrow is another and all that

Ive had a really calm weekend apart from ds2 waking up every couple hours. I know it sounds awful but I think it may be down to the fact that dp was working away. I always find it calmer. Its funny because if I were to say this to people we know Im sure, I know that they would say he is the calm one. But the kids and I have such a lovely time and the house is a damn sight cleaner!

well i have an appointment made to see my gp on monday, i cant wait, i have felt better since i last posted but i just dont feel like im getting anywhere on the 20 mg....sleep is such a bad issue, because i have to be up around half 7 during the week, but DS is up way before that at the moment....then i have full time college,housework, all around dogsbodying and i dont want to a thing.DP is finding it hard to understand me, i almost feel as if he thinks i am using it as an excuse.
I am actually glad that i have found this thread,

I tried to talk to my mother about it the other day and her response was "you're 23 for gods sake why cant you just enjoy life...its too short"

like i didn't friggin well know that
like i want to feel like this...total tosser so i shant be going to her for any confort again...that incident made me realise why she doesnt actually know im on ADs

Dh not back until tomorrow night, e mailed yesterday, it is hard when we are apart and something like this happens we just need to comfort each other, but not that easy by email

I did tell my boss about the other person - his response is an OH referral to give me some tips on how to deal with it Still waiting for anything to actually happen on that as unsurprisingly OH not sure what to do

teabreakgirl - know what you mean about the house being quieter and tidier and for the odd few days it is bliss but 10 days inc two weekends gets to me as eg i cannot even pop my friends bag she left in my car over to her without getting kids togged up and into car - for a 5 min drive ! I tend to feel trapped by the necessary routine and planning like a military operation just to make sure i have enough milk etc

Not helped by dh gallivanting all over USA and buying stuff in Gymboree and a DS for dd in Walmart (yes I know totally unreasonable but at least he is free to go shopping unencumbered by two whining / arguing children)

Oh dear. It sounds like everyone is having a bit of a rough time at the mo - with lots of things getting to people and having to be dealt with. I bet by this time next week we will all feel a bit better - or at least maybe the weather will be better

My dcs are 6 and 5 now but if you are up for some 'pre loved' gymboree stuff let me know -I love it and always have (except the price, used to get MIL to buy it or buy in the sales, but the exchange rate means it is OK in USA)

Feeling Ok atm (think Friday was partly pmt too ) and dh is back so I am going out for a long walk and veggie spring rolls from the chinese that i have been longing for all week but could not get as house tied ....

I realised today that my bad mood earlier this week may also have been down to PMT. These tablets have put my periods all over the place so I never know when to expect them. At least I know now that I wasn't going downhill.

I have to go to docs 1st thing in the morning to get a repeat prescription for my tablets as I left it to the last minute. I just couldn't be bothered to go to the docs to hand in the repeat prescription. How lazy is that??!!

God it is miserable weather here. Just spoke to my mum on the phone and she said they have had sun down in London and were sitting in the garden!

just started these 20mg on 3rd day after being on prozac didnt agree with me

HIya, 1234567890 and welcome to the thread! I was on fluoxetine (prozac) a few years ago but it really wasn't the right one for me and turned me into a zombie.
I've been on citalopram for 4 months now. Started on 20 and then went up to 40mg. The side effects can be a bit alarming to start with, but they do go.

hi 123etc i have been on citalopram for a few months and am going back to the gp today to see if she will up my dosage from 20mg to 40. The side effects can be a bit of a shock

i suffered from headaches
grinding of teeth
nausea
dizziness
and my sex drive has gone out of the window

But i have to say i would rahter be on them than off them x good luck

Fawke, good luck at the docs. I feel a lot better on 40mg than I did on 20mg and I didn't have to go through the side effects again, which I was worried about.
