?

You’re post is a little confusing.

You don’t need to go to any appointment. You can always ring up and politely decline. But as there aren’t enough mental health appointments go around your GP must think you need some support. When did you last see your GP? What was the appointment for?

Muddle200 · 24/05/2024 13:54

I have never had a GP appointment They just send me and so no treatment etc

Do you want support?
If yes that's why they are arranging the appointments?

Needmorelego · 24/05/2024 13:59

Were you on a waiting list for appointments?
The referral could be from a GP appointment from 2 years ago?

Muddle200 · 24/05/2024 14:07

No I was sent home from work with query MH and GP did not care

I am slightly confused by your answers.
Do you want an appointment? Do you want help?

TheShellBeach · 24/05/2024 14:21

I don't understand what you're saying, OP.

Do you want a GP appointment or not?

TheShellBeach · 24/05/2024 14:22

Muddle200 · 24/05/2024 15:05

Taken ill at work Asked to go to GP

So you saw your GP?
And where did they send you?
Your posts aren't very clear.

Needmorelego · 24/05/2024 15:25

The GP will be trying to help you. Have you been to the other appointment even though you didn't want to go? If not - just go.
They will want to help you.

Muddle200 · 24/05/2024 15:29

No they did not help me

OP posts:
BobbyBiscuits · 24/05/2024 15:31

Are you having MH symptoms? Or do you feel you are physically unwell and need a GP to prescribe medicine?
If you don't want to go to the MH appointment you don't have to. You can call them and try and find out more, or just email in to cancel as you feel it's not required.
I hope you get your health issue sorted, whatever it is.

TheShellBeach · 24/05/2024 15:38

Can you quote whoever you're replying to please.

Muddle200 · 24/05/2024 15:40

The staff told me you have to go

OP posts:
Needmorelego · 24/05/2024 15:41

If you want help then you should go.

TheShellBeach · 24/05/2024 15:42

Muddle200 · 24/05/2024 15:40

The staff told me you have to go

What staff?
What have they told you you have got to attend?

You can choose not to attend any appointments unless you've been sectioned.

Muddle200 · 24/05/2024 15:49

So you do not have to go if you do not want to

OP posts:
Needmorelego · 24/05/2024 15:53

@Muddle200 no they can't insist you go - but wouldn't it be better to go and see if they can help you?
