Hi !
I have posted few posts on my present situation. DH and I had a condom failure, took the MAP and it didnt work as I'm now pregnant. It's still really hard to believe I'm pregnant, it's my third pregnancy.
I cant keep it because I have already 2 young daughters, we cant afford to have another one. I'm so so so sad to have to go trought with it. If I keep it, it's going to wreck my family, I'll never be able to look after 3 young children, we'll always be poor, not being able to afford a house. I love my dds so much and I want to anything I can to be there for them at every levels. Has anyone been in my situation ? How do you live after such a trauma ?

....thankyou.

summerfruit (assuming that you are sad).

you do need some form of councelling. there are some wonderful organisations out there, and I am sure that some kind lady here will be able to link you. (I however fail badly at links.....can't all be perfect).

you are so very confused, but at this point in time right now I think your heart/gut is telling you that you want to hang on in all possible ways to this pregnancy. I really truly think that you will cope....and for waht it is worth, your daughters will never know the life they would have had otherwise, and who is to say that that life would have been any better?

different? sure, but better.......unless you have a crystal ball you will never ever know.

Magdelanian · 13/01/2008 00:34

I've never been through counselling but someone very close to me has and they are amazing. I really think that you will find your answers on Monday.

Night summerfruit. Dont worry it will all make sense in the end. xx

Magdelanian · 13/01/2008 00:48

Physco, Bless DD1 how old is she? Are you going to celebrate this occasion. Think I've seen threads about this and btw I did discretley with my DD.

psychomum5 · 13/01/2008 00:53

DD1 is 13 (almost 14, she insists on the almost)....and she and I have had a girlie night in with her fave icecream and chocs.

she is however hurty, so I introduced her to feminax which had the added bonus of her being 'floaty', so no celebrating as such, but I will buy her something to make her feel 'grown-up' IYGWIM.

summerfruit......sleep well, and I hope things will start to feel clearer.

xx

Magdelanian · 13/01/2008 01:06

Bet she's really chuffed. She is similar age to my DD, year nine. But my DD was only just turned 11 when she started and was the first out of her friends so not such a great time.

psychomum5 · 13/01/2008 01:10

yup....yr 9, and last out of her friends, so altho not keen, was getting worried (even tho I said she'd be about now as she is the age I was roughly).

TBH, I am soooo glad. her PMT was hell, and my periods have been extrodinarily bad recently to the piont I thought there was something wrong with me!!!...seems her hrmones plus my hormones make a bad bad mix!

expatinscotland · 13/01/2008 01:12

let's face it, hormones and chicks, it just all goes awry .

psychomum5 · 13/01/2008 01:13

said like a pro expat....said like a pro!

expatinscotland · 13/01/2008 01:15

i've got a 4.5 year old wailing in her bed from chickenpox despite load of stuff just now, psycho.

just like me!

i'm phenegran-ing her for the Sunday night!

the last time i had a good sleep was when someone was putting me under general anaesthesia.

such is the life of a mother!

Magdelanian · 13/01/2008 01:24

Psyco, I know what you mean re the PMT. It all settles down now and DD1 will be so chilled. From now on. I think my DD went through this at 10 or even 9, very confusing from all around her.

Magdelanian · 13/01/2008 01:25

Expat also good luck with the chicken pox. It wont take too long for it all to be over.

psychomum5 · 13/01/2008 01:33

expat....hugs for the chickenpox.

whoever said motherhood was easy needs stringing up at times!!!!

ghosty · 13/01/2008 01:39

You wonderful women you ...
What a thread to read - the support and love just flows out. Psychomum, your post was just so heartfelt - it made ME cry so god knows what it did to summerfruit.
Summerfruit, I have no personal experiences to relay to you on this subject but i am thinking of you and I am sure you will come to the right decision for you and your family ...
Hugs xxx

and that's all i've got to say, i guess.

nite, nite, all.

psychomum5 · 13/01/2008 01:54

expat.......hugs. be kind to yourself too. you need it as much as anyone else here right now.

expatinscotland · 13/01/2008 01:58

i'm still around, psycho!

she just had some Calpol.

but DH worked a shift during the day so he'll be off till 4PM, meaning i can have a kip!

you know how it is.

they don't stay babies or children.

soon enough, they grow up to be mares like me!
