Hi everyone, it seems we have reached 1000 posts on our original thread which is amazing, just shows how much support we have been able to give each other.

I thought we would benefit from part two!

@dillydallydollydaydream7 no sign yet! They did a sweep this morning so hopefully that will get things going!!

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 13/01/2021 11:18

@Lib3rtine eeeeekkkkk how exciting! I hope by the weekend you're surrounded by nappies, lack of sleep and cold cups of tea, because despite all the negative connotations associated with those things, it really is the best feeling ever!

Lib3rtine · 13/01/2021 11:56

@dillydallydollydaydream7 I know! I’m right excited! Hoping it will be just what I need as well to distract me from prodding and poking! Hope you’re doing ok today x

MrsWhites · 13/01/2021 12:02

@Lib3rtine how exciting, it’s good that they could do a sweep, that alone means things are moving along nicely! Snuggling with your newborn is just the best feeling ever!

@Lib3rtine I am thank you! I rang my GP about starting my sertraline, I've got to ring him back tomorrow but then I can start it hopefully so I feel more positive Smile resisted prodding after one prod this morning, and the sore nipple seems to be less sore so I'm wondering if it's all because in my head I know I'm going to start my tablets. Hope you're having a positive day too!

Hope everyone's Wednesday is going well Smile

Lib3rtine · 13/01/2021 12:32

@MrsWhites I know, wasn’t expecting it so it worked out well as I didn’t get chance to worry about how much it might hurt! She said things look like they’re progressing so fingers crossed!! How are you doing today?

@dillydallydollydaydream7 that’s good news! I think sometimes when we know there’s a plan in place it makes us more positive going forward.

I’ve been ok so far today, not rummaged around in my armpits yet for lymph nodes so there good! Actually read some old threads on here last night with other people saying they could feel their armpit ones when digging about really deeply so that made me feel better. I have no idea why I’ve suddenly focussed on them when I’ve always been able to feel them! It’ll be the ones in my groin next! Hmm

Skyliner001 · 13/01/2021 15:01

@Lib3rtine I'm the same with my collarbone one! But I'm having a really good day so far, just a little bit of gentle poking, but nothing serious! I don't feel out of control with it if that makes sense…

Hope everyone else is okay today, it definitely helps having this thread to have a rant on.

WitchSharkadder · 13/01/2021 15:33

@Lib3rtine fingers crossed things happen soon. In the meantime, walk as much as you can and keep us informed 😁

Lib3rtine · 13/01/2021 15:40

@Skyliner001 it’s so bizarre isn’t it, it’s like I’m not happy unless I’m worrying about something! I feel like you today, not out of control with it but it’s there in the background!

@WitchSharkadder thank you! I know, I’m trying to do 10,000 steps a day and be on the birthing ball as much as possible to try and move things on! I’ll definitely let you all know x

tmh88 · 13/01/2021 15:44

Thank you everyone I’m to get an interdental brush for now appointment is on the 27th of jan as dentist I use has covid! On the other hand I haven’t poked today!

SunshineCake · 13/01/2021 16:37

I came looking for help and advice and wondered if okay to join this thread, do I need to read number one or should I start my own thread ?

tmh88 · 13/01/2021 16:55

It’s absolutely fine to join this thread @SunshineCake Flowers

SunshineCake · 13/01/2021 17:34

Thank you @tmh88.

In all my years of traumatic events I had never had anxiety until I did. Last year I was ill with covid and while I don't think I have it again there are similarities. I've been in bed for two days, went downstairs with dh to watch tv and got pain in my chest and panicky. I am having trouble speaking in sentences and have had to use my inhaler twice today after not needing it in a few months.

My chest aches but then I had pain like I was being stabbed right in the centre of my chest. I'm guessing anxiety. I don't think I have anything medical wrong but the thought of me needing two weeks in bed like last year is worrying me so I feel in a vicious circle.

I run 3-4 times a week so aren't too unfit, I ran on Monday and have been stuck in bed since.

Any insights, help, advice, ideas, support would be very much appreciated.

I will read some of the thread now to try and get to know you and thank you.

Skyliner001 · 13/01/2021 17:49

Welcome to join @SunshineCake we are all in the same boat here, and it's a lovely supportive thread.

So sorry to hear about your symptoms, and about your illness last year.

The pains you are getting in your chest sounds incredibly similar to what I get with anxiety, it's pretty scary, and it took me a long time to realise how physical anxiety symptoms can be. You are not alone!

I also get incredibly breathless with anxiety, like I can't catch my breath and I struggle to breathe. It can come up on me at any time.

Welcome to the thread anyway, hope that it helps to have people to talk to X

Skyliner001 · 13/01/2021 17:50

I just had a bath without any prodding at all, chilled out, washed, and read my book for about an hour, for me a small miracle, for lots of other people probably nothing at all to write home about! Feeling proud X

SunshineCake · 13/01/2021 18:46

Thank you @Skyliner001. What do you do to make the pain ease? I'm using my inhaler to help with breathing but can't stop the pain in my left chest.

Goolies · 13/01/2021 19:02

@Skyliner001 well done you! That’s a huge achievement! I dread having a shower every day as sometimes there’s a split second where I give in and then that’s hit, use half my bottle of shower gel from prodding about, end up sore and then stress about that. The fact that you were relaxed and managed to read is amazing.

@Lib3rtine wow wow wow so excited for you!! Such amazing and precious time ahead. They grow so fast I still remember my DS being so tiny and now he’s at school!

Goolies · 13/01/2021 19:04

@SunshineCake welcome to the forum. Everyone here is so supportive it really is a god send! Sorry to hear you’ve been suffering, chest pain is so common with anxiety, it’s a vicious circle as anxiety the very symptoms that cause anxiety!

tmh88 · 13/01/2021 19:09

@SunshineCake I think it will be anxiety it can make you feel that physically unwell.

@Skyliner001 thats fantastic! Well done Flowers

Stilllivinginazoo · 13/01/2021 19:12

Can I join?

Skyliner001 · 13/01/2021 19:17

@Stilllivinginazoo Yes, John, welcome 😊

Skyliner001 · 13/01/2021 19:17

Join, not John!!!!

Skyliner001 · 13/01/2021 19:17

Thanks everyone! 🥳🥳

SunshineCake · 13/01/2021 19:17

I don't feel anxious though Confused. Well didn't until I started with the pain. Shall I just get up tomorrow as normal and try and be normal?

Last time I freaked out at the thought of going downstairs and it took three days and I lasted an hour.

I have so much I want to do, organising and tidying which I like, plus I'm missing my running but pain in my chest really hurts.

Skyliner001 · 13/01/2021 19:18

@SunshineCake I do take paracetamol sometimes if I have bad pains, I get them under my ribs too with stress.
