Hi everyone, I’m starting this thread for myself, and anyone else who needs some support in dealing with low mood/depression.

I’ve not had a good Christmas, it’s a hard time of year anyway, for lots of people, for lots of reasons and I fear I need a boost from somewhere to help get me back on track.

So here’s a place to offload, but most importantly to try to see the positive, practice gratitude and maybe share strategies... I’ll be back with some of the things that help me, in the hope that they might help others....

Hey @ThisMomentIsMyLife how’s it going?

Hope you are managing some self care. Mindfulness and mindful breathing is saving my bacon at the moment.

Not got loads of energy to write stuff at the moment, but hope people are looking after themselves x

I did some meditation today and it always makes me calm. I made an appointment to get my hair colour touched up. I need to have appointments for self care or the time just goes by and I don’t get round to it. My friend always makes her next appointment before she leaves the salon so she doesn’t end up last in the to do list. Maybe I’ll try that.

How are you this week @ThisMomentIsMyLife

What about others who have posted here before or newcomers?

I’ve said this on another thread but thought I’d post it here too - I am finding mantras really useful at the moment. I’d previously been sceptical of “positive” talk, but I can see now that some re-wiring of unhelpful though patterns can be achieved by repeating affirming statements to yourself. I am calm. I am worthy. I am normal. I am coping. I am on the right track.

Anyone got any other helpful things they say to themselves?
