You should definitely talk, they're there to listen to you no matter what it is you want to say.

Ennn · 07/02/2015 19:34

Oh, I see.

Sorry, Ennn, it was a good suggestion, thanks. Point taken Hellina

Ennn · 07/02/2015 19:42

It sucks that they won't make adaptations to allow you to take part Angry

Agree that it's worth talking. Maybe try the CMHT and tell them about the letters?

I'll see if I can say when they come tomorrow.

Ennn · 07/02/2015 19:49

I think it's important to mention it, at least.

? Sounds like a bit of a shitty time at the moment for you.

Up, are you a wheelchair user? Or do you have mobility probs? I'm not sure of your circumstances, so sorry for the questions

UpOnDown · 07/02/2015 19:51

Thanks, hugs to you too Ennn

I'd rather not say on here, millie, not after I've just name changed.

toothypeg · 07/02/2015 20:01

Hi again. I think DS has an Ennn-type earworm - he has been singing Let it Go allllllllllll day. Or maybe it's just that every preschooler in the world is obsessed with Frozen just now.

Millie2013 · 07/02/2015 20:03

I understand, Up

Ennn · 07/02/2015 20:03

I didn't know the Let It Go song at all until they played it at my singing group.

The song choice is... idiosyncratic.

Poor you toothypeg Grin

Our recent chalet sharing children were frozen fans. Nuff said!

HellinaHandbasket · 07/02/2015 20:12

I think I'm the last person on earth not to have heard that Frozen song. I have a serious Radio 4 habit so am completely out of touch with popular music.

Ennn · 07/02/2015 20:14

I never listen to the radio so am quite unfamiliarunfamiliar with popular musical beat combos too Grin I stream what I want to listen to, or listen to CDs (old school)

Was listening to Screamin' Jay Hawkins earlier. Forgotten classics, all.

OP posts:
Ennn · 07/02/2015 20:20

I have hundreds of CDs including some odd ones because I get these spates of enthusiasm for things sometimes and end up with an inexplicable collection of (for example) Tuvan throat singing, Klezmer music, South Ameeixan panpipe music, everything ever recorded by Frank Ifield, Skip James, or Screamin' Jay, several different performances/recordings of Chopin sonatas and études...

Streaming services have saved me so much money. Last time I went on a massive listening spree I listened to a LOT of Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto and a lot of Madonna, but all through Deezer, and limited physical CDs to a boxset of Madonna albums and only the best Rach.

Ennn · 07/02/2015 20:23

Actually, not everything ever recorded by those people, that's an exaggeration.

OP posts:
Ennn · 07/02/2015 20:24

But certainly more Frank Ifield than your average person Blush

I went through a weird Vera Lynn thing once too.

We have huge musical mixtures in this house, as two of the housemates did music degrees, and the other grew up on a tiny Scottish island and didn't listen to any music other than Scottish folk stuff until she was 11!

Millie2013 · 07/02/2015 20:32

I have a Vera Lynn song on my retro iPod, because it reminds me of my grandparents (who were a huge part of my childhood)

Ennn · 07/02/2015 20:33

Sounds fun! I didn't listen to pop when in was a kid which didn't help my popularity, instead listening mostly to Classic FM and my parents' record collection of prog rock, Beatles, classical music, and miscellaneous things like Mrs Mills and Steeleye Span. My brother and I used to hurl ourselves around the living room and bounce on the sofas to the Ride of the Valkyries

I have rather eclectic music tastes too :) I fear it's symptomatic of mental abnormality

Ennn · 07/02/2015 20:37

Was probably the only kid at my school regularly listening to King Crimson on vinyl Grin

and me

Ennn · 07/02/2015 20:38

NO we are the normal ones! Its bit normal to limit yourself solely to experimrntal neo-doowop or early baroque choral or current top-40 hits when you have access to everything ever recorded.

OP posts:
Ennn · 07/02/2015 20:39

not normal to limit yourself
