You're doing nothing wrong, Ennn - I enjoy reading your posts.

Ennn · 12/02/2015 18:08

Thanks Up.

Am doubting everything I'm saying at the moment. I tried to explain the problems I had with the essay I had to write, the first half written while happy and bubbly, the second half written while... not (was like I am now, evening good period, still low but more able to do stuff) with reference to Coleridge and Kubla Khan but now I realise that was stupid (I wasn't trying to compare myself to Coleridge obviously) and I don't think I picked a good analogy

(((( Ennn )))) I know how hard writing is when you're feeling low. Is anyone able to look at your meds? The main aim I got told this morning is to sedate me ++ Hmm

Ennn · 12/02/2015 18:12

I can't interpret the way cc went quiet when I said that. It was hard to talk and explain. I don't know if she thought I was being odd.

Am seeing GP on Monday, will try to get some more phenelzine then and if I get enough will be able to go to 60mg. But GP might not be keen. Is the one who gave me 3g of codeine which I necked so understandably she's now wary and last time would only give me weekly repeat dispensing of phenelzine. Will ask for benzos but not holding breath.

Main aim of sedation is not terribly ambitious Hmm

UpOnDown · 12/02/2015 18:24

Well anti-depressant effect too, but they take time to kick in. I hope it goes better with the gp than you're expecting, Ennn I'm trying to distract with tv, ligature is calling me. Sad

Ennn · 12/02/2015 18:31

mirtazipine is quite sedating

I found this interesting especially what it says about delayed chronotypes, depression, and the antidepressant effects of sleep deprivation (in depressed people), which is making me wonder if that's how phenelzine works on me - the dose-increase insomnia is just kicking in this time and of course it suppresses REM sleep too so perhaps is why it works quite quickly for me. Have realised phenelzine is the reason I didn't sleep much in hospital and it took about a week of very little sleep for mood to tick up so if I'm right I only have another week of depression to go.

What are you watching up?

OP posts:
UpOnDown · 12/02/2015 18:36

That is an interesting article. I'm watching My Family vaguely. What are you up to?

Ennn · 12/02/2015 18:39

I hope you feel better soon, Ennn. I'm not coping, but I don't want to worry anyone. Got the tv on as usual.

PollyPooic · 12/02/2015 19:08

I'm looking at marathon training schedules, the marathon is 12 weeks away on Sunday so whether am walking, doing the 4 minute run/1 minute walk thing or running I can start one next week.

I feel shit but I think it will help when I am back up and getting out there again.

UpOnDown · 12/02/2015 19:12

I can't imagine running a marathon, or the training leading up to it. Exercise is supposed to help.

Ennn · 12/02/2015 19:20

Is it bedtime yet?
