Hellina, that's fab!

Millie2013 · 09/02/2015 18:20

It seems to be a common theme amongst people with MH difficulties of them/us not being "heard". Can anyone else relate to this? Until I met current DT, I had a lot of really u helpful comments, many of which were due to people not understanding and me not explaining very well. Thankfully, current DT seems to "get" me and while she occasionally says unhelpful things, she's happy to reflect on them

Hey chap. Sorry about the unintentional ignoring

PollyPooic · 09/02/2015 18:23

hi chap, just shove yourself forward a bit

is easy to overlook posts isn't it

how's your day been?

Millie2013 · 09/02/2015 18:23

Waves, Chaps, I'm sure it wasn't intentional, I often lost track of the thread, as it moves pretty quickly. Do you need some friendly ears?

Ennn · 09/02/2015 18:24

Oh Chap I'm sorry, I saw that you were feeling low and meant to say something but wasn't sure anything I could say would be of any use Sad I'm so sorry; it must be hard to come on and say you felt ignored

Will tomorrow be a busy day? Some days of my working week are busier than others, if that makes sense. Can you also have something to look forward to as a treat? I find that helps me.

toothypeg · 09/02/2015 18:36

Sending love. I'm really struggling with work atm too.

Hello Chapuys love the username. Just finished reading Bring up the Bodies which I loved, am re-reading Wolf Hall now-not sure why but I think I prefer BotB? Am loving Thomas Cromwell, such a well drawn character, he is a bit Francis Urquhart crossed with Gene Hunt :)

Loving everyone's unhelpful quotes. Should probably add a disclaimer that most MH professionals are complete stars but some other HCPs seem to be staggeringly "un-clued up" to put it kindly.

Not too good here, feeling very unreal and things are a bit loud and fizzy.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 09/02/2015 18:38

Work can be SHIT. Two days left on my sick note Shock

David - is there a plan of what to do when you feel that way?

PollyPooic · 09/02/2015 18:45

hope work helps, once you are back into it, chap

am trying to remember insulting or unhelpful things said by psych type people, sadly nobody has ever once suggested I am not colourful or interesting enough to pass myself off as a mentalist - a nurse once said the devil was targeting single parent families and trying to destroy them and if I turned to Jesus I could be out of hospital in no time, and a psychiatrist once said I read too much but I can't remember what I said to prompt that, except I was repeating something another psychiatrist had told me about me

my best one was probably the HCA who stole my number from my notes and kept asking me out, even while I was en route during transfer to another hospital - think I started an AIBU thread about that

he was well hot though

DavidTennantsBeard · 09/02/2015 18:47

Caulk are u back to work then or will you get it extended?
There is no plan as such, hopefully DH home soonish. I can manage in meantime.

PollyPooic · 09/02/2015 18:47

hugs for David too

I remember the trauma of #2's inpatient stays, although the worst bits were probably at home or all that family therapy that was usually just me and about 6 practitioners (thank goodness for budget cuts)

Millie2013 · 09/02/2015 18:49

What will you do then, Caulk? Did you resign, or did I imagine it?

toothypeg · 09/02/2015 18:49

Could I ask here if you all think I've done something monstrously stupid and unprofessional?

The ColleagueWhoIThinkHatesMe was definitely and undeniably ignoring and avoiding me all day, to the point that it was getting awkward because we do need to talk and email in order to get our respective jobs done and there was something I couldn't progress until I'd had her input.

When I got home I texted her 'do u not want to work with me anymore? is it because u hate me??' Shock Blush

And then when she didn't reply I sent the text again. And again. Shock Blush Shock Blush Shock Blush

She texted back 'NO I DONT and i hav more important things to do with my evening than reassuring u!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

Have I completely ruined my career?

Sad
