Enn, is there another way to get there, a lift from someone maybe? I imagine cancelling will cause more problems than it will solve.

Yes kind of regretting agreeing that the group facilitators could call her. But it's okay, I will reschedule with her another time. Normally DP would drive me in if I couldn't face the walk but he's got a delivery or something coming tomorrow. I'm only cancelling because I'm not so great at mornings when I'm low - I hope it doesn't cause problems Confused

My cmht provide taxis or bus tickets if you have esa or jsa. Could you look online and see if that exists for your borough.

I have already cancelled the appointment now but thanks for the idea; I'll look into it next time. I'm okay; just know I won't be able to get up early and walk two and a half miles into town tomorrow. You don't think it's going to be a problem, is it? I hope they don't decide I'm disengaging and being challenging Confused It's just a transport/mild depression thing.

I said I couldnt make it tomorrow and asked to rearrange, but my CC had apparently left for the evening so have just cancelled and left my number.

I used to get the "you're so young" stuff too. Alternatively, that I was very mature. In fact, I still seem to get called mature. Which implies they think I'm young. I'm the same age as Caulk. Also used to get the "but you're a bright girl, why are you doing this?" crap. In the past it's been suggested that I might even be intelligent enough to do a degree Hmm

It pisses me off that intelligence is assumed to have anything to do with mental illness. Whatever intelligence means anyway. I'm not sure I believe in it.

Parts of my childhood were quite adversely affected by my abnormal results on IQ tests no I'm not keen on those (except maybe to identify specific learning difficulties) and nobody seems to know what they mean by intelligence outside of that context anyway. But MH types insist on bringing it up, like it's at all relevant.

Evening all. Special hugs to Enn and Up. I'm going home to flake out on the sofa. Dinner is a surprise so god knows what I'll end up eating. Lost 6lb on my diet as of this morning so feeling very pleased with myself.
