Thanks Ennn

Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/02/2015 19:33

I see some awful depravity but I see some nice places too. Tells you so much about a person. I always wonder what judgement my psych made if me when she saw my house. She's been so often she now accepts a cup of tea Blush

Ennn · 05/02/2015 19:33

She was old school, the stelazine woman, who said DP and I had "definite folie à deux" - presumably hadn't realised/noticed patients have the right bto see their notes now or didn't care Grin

People round here all leave their curtains open at night the weirdos so I know what all their houses look like Grin

Ennn · 05/02/2015 19:34

I hope she doesn't rebuke you snow has she ever done that before?

SnowyMouse · 05/02/2015 19:34

I never open my curtains.

Ennn · 05/02/2015 19:35

Nor me

Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/02/2015 19:36

I close my curtains, anything to keep the heat in this draughty house.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/02/2015 19:36

I also open them in the morning, I love natural light.

SnowyMouse · 05/02/2015 19:38

She has sort of, yes.

Ennn · 05/02/2015 19:42

Was it awful to be rebuked?

Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/02/2015 19:42

What's the point of giving out to you, you can't help how you're feeling?

Ennn · 05/02/2015 19:43

Why do psychiatrists do so many house calls? Have never come across any other type of specialist that does this.

SnowyMouse · 05/02/2015 19:44

It doesn't help. You're right, I can't help how I feel. On the other hand, some stuff she says is just difficult to hear (e.g. that committing suicide would hurt other people).

Ennn · 05/02/2015 19:46

I hope it goes okay Snow.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/02/2015 19:46

Some of my patients just can't make it into the office so I go to them instead. My psych comes to me when I 'm banned from driving.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 05/02/2015 19:46

I've had the htt psychiatrist visit me at home- is that not what everyone has?

Ennn · 05/02/2015 19:48

But neurologists won't visit epileptics just because they're banned from driving, and GPs don't take "I can't drive in" as a valid reason for a home visit.

Ennn · 05/02/2015 19:49

I think it's great that you can and do visit people, but just wonder why it only seems to be psychiatrists that do it.

Yes, I've had the HTT consultant gingerly lower himself onto my sofa like it's made of fucking catshit and semen too

Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/02/2015 19:49

We're a nicer type of doctor? I always think it's because I'm community based therefore I should try and get out into that community.

Ennn · 05/02/2015 19:50

I love seeing doctors try not to touch anything in case it's unpleasantly sticky Grin

Ennn · 05/02/2015 19:52

BTW do you mean depravity?

Or just deprivation?

I definitely wouldn't do anything depraved with a psychiatrist watching me Wink

Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/02/2015 19:52

I have to use the 'don't touch' rule in some houses. I've had flea bites in the past.

Ennn · 05/02/2015 19:54

Oh I've had flea bites on a psych ward, you're not safe anywhere.

Am currently covered in mavis's cat's fleas' bites in all sorts of unpleasant places.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 05/02/2015 19:54

I meant deprivation, stupid auto correct.

Ennn · 05/02/2015 19:54

I though so; the context looked wrong.
