I'm glad you made it to the support group, Enpoid Diagnosis often needs time I think.

She wont have seen it yet Millie

Sending you coping vibes, Caulk

I can't find my homework for CBT Hmm

Enpoid · 12/01/2015 16:58

It's been about fifteen years, now, hasn't it been enough time yet? Grin

I've just bought two kilos of turkish yoghurt from Lidl.

Sorely tempted by the kilo of chicken breasts for a fiver but the freezer is full of crap DP's ingredients and we just did a big Tesco shop for meat Sad

CaulkheadUpNorth · 12/01/2015 16:59

I imagine Turkish yoghurt tasting like Turkish delight, but it probably doesn't does it?

Enpoid · 12/01/2015 17:14

That sounds nice, actually, Caulk!

I can't work out what the difference is in principle between Greek and Turkish yoghurt; it's just that the Lidl Turkish is thicker and more like Fage Total than Lidl Greek is. Full fat, though. Apologies to the 0%ers on the thread. Wink

It's also £1.69, I think, compared to Fage at what, £4.50 for a kilo?

Hope everyone's surviving the dismal weather. Dismal here, anyway. Dark.and damp and windy. But not too cold. And I second the coping vibes.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 12/01/2015 17:15

Muller do Turkish delight flavour. My mastermind special subject would be muller rice and yoghurts Grin

Enpoid · 12/01/2015 17:36

A splash of rosewater and some sweetener should do it...

SnowyMouse · 12/01/2015 18:03

Blush Enpoid, yes, you're right.

Mitchy1nge · 12/01/2015 18:03

mmmm fage total 0%

am whingeing myself to death (an under researched method) even though back pain is definitely in the Mild category now and also watching history boys with #3 and hosting two fat scratchy black and white cats

soon there will be a chicken biryani

CaulkheadUpNorth · 12/01/2015 18:06

Mitchy can I move in please? I like biryani and cats and the history boys. Thanks.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 12/01/2015 18:06

Chicken biryani sounds great. We're having pizza because neither of us could be arsed. First day back at work was rather taxing.

Enpoid · 12/01/2015 18:13

I do get what you mean, though, Snowy, and you're right - it's only been a few months since I became ill this most recent time. So we'll see.

One more for the biryani party, please.

Peppered steak for me for dinner (black pepper, Sichuan pepper, long pepper, cubeb, and either all-spice or paprika, DP hasn't decided yet). I like pepper Grin

SnowyMouse · 12/01/2015 18:21

Ooh, biryani here too please! Grin

I've eaten all my calories for the day.

I hope tomorrow is less taxing, mental

SnowyMouse · 12/01/2015 18:49

Just submitted my recent assignment, 8 days early. Smile

Mentalpsychiatrist · 12/01/2015 18:57

Nice one snowy Smile

toothpasteinthetree · 12/01/2015 18:58

I want curry. Or steak. Or even steak curry. And naice yoghurt, possibly to thicken said curry. I've eaten untold calories worth of crap today. DH and the DCs are ill, and only carbs seem to be taking the edge off the pain.

Sending you all my love. Re in BP v. PD debate, in my experience there's a very fine line between the two, and diagnosis thereof often depends less on the DSM criteria as much as the psychiatrist in question's personal outlook on it all. Re the Muller lights, IME they should form part of the diagnostic criteria for an eating disorder Grin

toothpasteinthetree · 12/01/2015 19:00

And congrats snowy!

Enpoid · 12/01/2015 19:39

The Slimming World lot seem obsessed with doing peculiar things with Müller Lights. IMO is a formalised mild ED what with the moralistic "syn"-based terminology and rigid adherence to nonsensical rules, but what do I know.

Mitchy1nge · 12/01/2015 19:46

yay well done snowy!

bipolar and personality disorders go together quite well I think, I certainly have enough maladaptive behaviours to qualify for one but it's easier to give me lithium than any kind of therapy these days

OP posts:
Enpoid · 12/01/2015 19:51

The only actual diagnosis I have had for this recent thing is depressive episode, moderate - the treatment for which has worked quite well. Which suits me just fine, actually. Would rather not have anything more complicated than that Grin

Massive kudos on the assignment, Snowy. Is it a TMA?

SnowyMouse · 12/01/2015 19:57

Yes, it's a TMA. Got to decide what exam arrangements I need next (letters make depressing reading).

That's why I stick to MFP mitch - all of the branded diets don't seem to fit with changing your lifestyle choices long-term (I did order one slimfast shake just to try though, and also multivitamins).

Grin I also liked it when my only diagnosis was severe depressive episode.

Millie2013 · 12/01/2015 19:58

I have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, but I often think that it better resembles borderline PD, or whatever they call it now. I definitely have traits of a PD. I also have a diagnosis of ADHD and anorexia (now a healthy weight tho)
Therapist, who is also a psychiatrist has removed all previous labels and given me an "attachment disorder" diagnosis. Confused, much!

In bed, cuddled up to a snoozing DD and listening to the rain outside

brightandbreezyNot · 12/01/2015 19:58

What does iron level of 4 mean? Sorry if already posted this

Mitchy1nge · 12/01/2015 20:01

don't think I really believe in categorical diagnoses beyond a certain point, prefer making my own sense of my own experiences

can't say is working out that well so far tbh

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 12/01/2015 20:17

Brightandbreezy is that a serum iron concentration? What time of day was the blood sample collected?

Millie2013 · 12/01/2015 20:20

Bright, is that ferritin? If haemoglobin, that is v v low. My Hb was 6 post birth and I was getting breathless just lying there, had to have 2x transfusions
