I think some people went to another day hospital in a neighbouring town. Cause its not like people with mental health problems ever have trouble getting transport sorted out Hmm There was also another CMHT from a nearby town moved to the same building as my CMHT; more people having to travel to another town to access services Angry

Mitchy1nge · 05/01/2015 18:11

I hear you enpo! used to go to a day hospital thing which was a great halfway point when on leave or newly discharged and when it was closed most of us were not welcome at the MIND drop in thing because we were too mental Confused it was for the worried well rather than people who actually had something mentally wrong with them Hmm

glad you enjoyed the group, how often do they meet?

have not made a great start on my meal plan that looks like a reverse resolution for the time of year, so far have had a gallon of green tea, 10 marlboro and a banana but think #3 wants an Indian takeaway and there are still some £££ notes somewhere (in fact they gave me quite a lot of money for house sitting) so that should help

am not in The Mood for anything except having a cry and going to sleep, my shoes came off three times on my run because the mud was so deep. my feet are freezing :(

Sorry for going on and on like that. I got on one of my hobby horses a bit Confused

Seems like it's been pretty bloody stressful for you recently Mitchy - I have no such excuse but am starting my resolutiony living a bit late too Grin Hope you enjoy your takeaway if you have one - I'm having a pistachio lamb korma for dinner.

The group is once a week which seems like something I can probably cope with.

Enpoid · 05/01/2015 18:32

Mind doesn't seem to be very big round here, Snowy - I did go to some Rethink stuff a few years ago but I object to some of Rethink's policies and public pronouncements. Are Mind good?

Mitchy1nge · 05/01/2015 18:39

have always really hated rethink, since long before they were rethink, very 'does he take sugar' about the person directly affected by mental illness

dominos it is, I can't find the cash for anything else and they take paypal

even if I eat the base of my pizza (not likely) as well as the topping it is still well under 1000 calories for the day, have mad reverse anxiety about not eating enough - there is no pleasing me, seriously Hmm

very 'does he take sugar'

Yes, that's very much the vibe I get from them. They seem to turn up to talk about how to protect the rest of society from dangerous mentally ill people and focus more on the opinions of the families of people affected than the people themselves. Perhaps it's because of their origins as a schizophrenia charity - there's always been even more of that attitude towards people with schizophrenia diagnoses than people with other diagnoses IMO.

Food is a total arse. I've just eaten of the forbidden fruit (grapes) Blush Massively sugary and will push me over my calorie goal for the day once I've had dinner too. At least a it wasn't bananas, I suppose.

What kind of pizza will you get? Veggie supreme, no sweetcorn, for me, please.

Enpoid · 05/01/2015 19:04

Though I think Sane is schizophrenia too and they're not so bad. I'm just talking bullshit again Grin

Mitchy1nge · 05/01/2015 19:06

a personal 4 veggie (spinach, cherry tomatoes, red onion and mushroom) with added chicken strips and reduced fat cheese instead of mozzarella

mfp suggests 578 cals for the veggie supreme in that size, have rounded it up to 820

will start again properly tomorrow

no you're not talking shit, I know the daughter of one pair of the founders of NSF (which became rethink), that's very much their starting point however they may have evolved since

There's a thing about diet food on channel 4 in a minute that is supposed to have something in it about beetroot and exercise - ISTR your mentionin something about that Mitch?

Mitchy1nge · 05/01/2015 20:08

yay for beetroot juice! It improves endurance by quite an amazing amount apparently - no live channels at home but will check it out on 4OD in due course

the makers of beet-it are local and sponsor my running club so have a free case of the concentrated shots - they are foul, only tried one once, pooed a LOT

will definitely track that one down

not the vampire university challenge thing, the food programme

am replaying encounter #1 had with someone, another resident, in her building earlier, about people breaking into her mail box and opening her letters - she asked if it had happened to him, he said no, assumed it was people looking for money in Christmas cards or something but she says they are putting the mail into different envelopes and then redelivering it -she only noticed because they were careless and tore one of the envelopes

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 05/01/2015 20:52

am just wondering whether to organise a new mail box for her with a different sort of lock

or is that encouraging her paranoia

OP posts:
Enpoid · 05/01/2015 20:56

She must be finding it all quite worrying.

Mitchy1nge · 05/01/2015 21:05

she is upset about people tampering with the mail but doesn't understand the concern about her behaviour, state of mind etc at all

although she paid lip service to the idea of more sleep she is vehement about all the stuff she has to do, is just constantly writing crap in her notebook and diaries

:( will stop whingeing and go to bed

OP posts:
Enpoid · 05/01/2015 21:10

Hope you sleep well Mitch.

Enpoid · 06/01/2015 04:26

My plans for an early night don't seem to have worked out. Have to see care coordinator in seven and a half hours. In fact going to bed earlier seems to have made it worse. It wouldn't be so bad but I sleep 10-12 hours a night at the moment Confused

Mitchy1nge · 06/01/2015 08:53

oh no, hope you wake up in time! Are they coming to you or do you have to present yourself somewhere?

I've overslept and there will be grumpy horses to turn out but am shovelling in the watery porridge (25g) with blueberry and seed sugary shot (98cals) and tsp of honey (15cals) anyway because people who train for marathons don't do it all on green tea and Marlboro

OP posts:
Enpoid · 06/01/2015 12:32

I try to avoid people coming to my house wherever possible, and I don't think she ever offered to visit ne at home anyway. It probably takes a lot longer to do home visits, too; I think it's more efficient to have the patient go to them.

Luckily (for me) they rang and cancelled this morning - my care coordinator is ill, poor thing.

DP has been badgering me all morning instead of letting me sleep Angry yes, I know I asked him to but that's not the point

I didn't know horses got grumpy. Grin

How far will you be running today?

SnowyMouse · 06/01/2015 13:00

I'm sorry your cc's ill. What are your plans for today, or is it just to stay awake?

I cheated, and when I got back from my blood test I lay down for an hour this morning.

I didn't know horses got grumpy either, I hope the turning out went ok.

I'm not sure if doing a new mail box would help, how would she know that people weren't breaking into the new one?

Enpoid · 06/01/2015 13:11

I'm going to try to go out for a quick run at some point, have a bath, eat food, play GTA, maybe watch some TV or read a book.

I really should get a job.

How about you Snowy, any plans? A lot of people have a lie down after blood tests anyway Smile Hope you're okay - are they just a routine thing?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 06/01/2015 13:13

Having a job is over rated. Have been in work since 9 9:45 and have broken the printer. That's all I've achieved today.

SnowyMouse · 06/01/2015 13:15

They are routine - I take clozapine so I have to have monthly blood tests. The wheelchair repairs people woke me up, calling to arrange for the annual service.

I'm hoping to get more of my OU course done later today, when I'm properly awake. That sounds like a full day, enpoid

Enpoid · 06/01/2015 13:21

I asked for an earlier post of mine to be deleted - it was just gratuitously unpleasant (the university challenge one). Sorry for that.

I remember about the clozapine now Snowy. How's the course going?

Printers are evil, Caulk. The software, the hardware, the consumables, everything.
