Woop! Just got a call asking if I wanted to be visited today (er, no, ta) and telling me that they're about to call CMHT to hand me over to them. Finally getting off this daily checking up soon I hope Grin

There's 15 in a box; it'd be rude not to.

I am irrationally terrified of crane flies so... yeah.

Cure-all for apooicity: replace all fluid intake with apple juice.

I think it's an osmotic thing.

liquid calories

runs SCREAMING from thread

Mitchy1nge · 06/11/2014 18:00

lithium usually keeps me fairly polypooic

got stuck for a while with some ridiculous eating habits but am sure things will flow more freely now that am On It

is so much easier to stay stuck though, why are mental disorders so fiercely determined to keep themselves alive? they're so good at it

Mitchy1nge · 06/11/2014 18:01

anyway what else was chat about for 2 hours? unless is too private to say

such a nosy fucker Grin

Mentalpsychiatrist · 06/11/2014 18:05

I ate nothing but toast and Nutella for nearly two weeks once (I was becoming unwell) and I can safely say that it's a very binding diet.

Mitchy1nge · 06/11/2014 18:08

oh god how I HATED that phrase

'you appear to be becoming unwell Ms 1nge'

Angry
Mentalpsychiatrist · 06/11/2014 18:09

Ha, it's a phrase I use all the time but which I HATE being applied to myself. I should do something about that double standard.

EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 18:11

Um... I may have been smoking. Don't expect much sense. But we/I discussed my mood now, my mood recently, my previous MH experience and history, and my fears and hopes WRT treatment/future. And I also said "no" a lot of times in response to questions like "do you ever experience carefully-worded-symptom-of-psychosis-a?" and "how about even-more-carefully-worded-symptom-of-psychosis-b?" Probably a fairly standard intro appointment. Just glad I didn't have to do a MMSE. All mental arithmetic goes out the window when a doctor asks me maths questions.

(am sorry for your toast and Nutella induced sufferings though)

EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 18:12

Nutella is rank. YABU.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 06/11/2014 18:12

Sounds pretty standard. When do you have to get your bloods done?

EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 18:16

Apparently he will give me a form at the next appointment.

It wasn't all two hours with the psychiatrist. Half an hour was with only HTT and CaCo. Then HTT swapped with psychiatrist. Then at one point psych buggered off to talk to a man about a dog point Percy at the porcelain "chat to the consultant" for five minutes.

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 18:17

Then he came back and DP came back in as well. Joyous joy.

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 06/11/2014 18:18

You didn't get a consultant psych?

Mitchy1nge · 06/11/2014 18:19

is he a reg?

Mentalpsychiatrist · 06/11/2014 18:20

Must have been.

EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 18:20

I think he only got his MBBS a couple of years ago; give the poor guy a chance Grin

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 06/11/2014 18:20

Poor guy, he's just a baby psych Grin

EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 18:23

Oh, actually not an MBBS, he qualified abroad. Lovely lovely GMC Register.

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 18:24

Aww. I feel all protective now. Not to worry, I think daddy the fancy consultant psych at a fancy hospital might be able to offer a leg-up.

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 06/11/2014 18:24

'everyone has to start somewhere' is what poor helpless reg said when I ripped his face off with my teeth flew into a rage about someone who hadn't even passed his exams attempting to make decisions about my daughter's care

he had a point but she had been at death's door and was still v physically ill and put on a general/acute adult ward at barely 18, got a consultant (my one yay) and got her moved (then she set fire to the only adolescent unit within about 60 miles but whatevs, they have a nicer newer one now)

Mentalpsychiatrist · 06/11/2014 18:24

I have an MBChB but didn't qualify abroad. I love the GMC register for snooping about ex-classmates. It's better than Facebook.
