((nethuns)) there's absolutely nothing wrong with taking it easy if you need to. Tonsillitis is horrible, I hope you feel better soon.

Grin at your friend's DD Silvery

I'm tired after my trip into town, but not as drained as usual. Got my stuff posted and got my new hairdryer from Argos. Picked up a few useful bits in Wilko's too, worst bit was when I popped into Asda for something for tea tonight- was very busy and full of people just milling about- luckily I knew what I was buying so could just get in and out.

I don't think I'd have managed if self-service checkouts weren't a thing!

EnpoTree · 31/10/2014 18:18

"Unexpected item in the bagging area"

yes, that'd be me, banging my head against it in frustration Grin

I would love them if they always worked well.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 31/10/2014 18:28

Me too re self service. It means I actually buy things rather than leave the basket and walk out when I get too anxious.

I'm sitting outside my therapists in the car, waiting for 630. I won't admit how long I've been here but I didn't arrive before her, which is always a good sign!

SnowyMouse · 31/10/2014 18:37

MN have made their decision, here

Mentalpsychiatrist · 31/10/2014 18:42

Happy Halloween one and all Halloween Smile

Very busy here with children knocking at the door. Waiting for it all to die down so we can have our traditional Halloween supper.

Victrix · 31/10/2014 21:32

MNHQ's response seems pretty reasonable to me. Don't see why it took this long though Hmm

I'm going to have a lovely hot bath then bed. Had a good walk into town and back earlier and got a few bits I've been needing, only problem was I forgot about the tramadol sweats and ended up looking like I'd got there by swimming up the canal Grin

Victrix · 31/10/2014 21:33

Also just realised I've already posted about going into town - memory is still an issue then Grin

nethunsreject · 31/10/2014 21:35

Cheers guys for the sympathies :-). I'm definitely on the mend but not well yet, hopefully by Monday should be much better .
Enjoy Halloween, especially those having nice suppers :-D. Quite a few kids here, but all quiet by 8.
Night all xx

Pulledapart · 01/11/2014 10:36

((( nethuns ))) hope u had a peaceful evening.

caulk hope therapy went ok

silvery ur friend's DD Grin hope u been well.

snowy how are you this morning?

victrix tramadol is a great pain reliever. I curse the day I was taken off it.

As for trick or treaters, we only got knocked twice. First lot got hula hoops (probably thought what a weirdo) and second lot got kinder surprise (luckily spotted in the cupboard) Yep I totally forget to buy anything Halloween Blush

Well I'm still in bed as energy level don't seem to want to pick up Hmm and pains are horrendous Sad DD is up though so better drag myself out of bed and give her breakfast. I could do with a Brew and painkillers too.

Hope everyone else is having a better morning than cranky old me!

MySpideySenseTickles · 01/11/2014 11:44

Took ds trick or treating, he ended up the night with his backpack full of sweets (I'm evil they will be gradually given over the next few months) and a stomach bug.
Spent half the night cleaning up sick.
He didn't even get to eat any of his sweets.

Poor little guy Sad (and poor you - hope you don't catch it).

Still - decent haul!

Pulledapart · 01/11/2014 12:01

Oh ur poor DS spidey ((( lots of hugs for u both ))) hope he feels better soon.

epnotree how u doing this morning? X

EnpoTree · 01/11/2014 12:12

Fine thanks Pulled - bit ratty with DP, but then he's ratty with me, so it's balancing out Grin

How are you doing? You're up earlier today I see Wink

SnowyMouse · 01/11/2014 12:30

I'm okish thanks, getting on with the knitting. How is everyone this morning?

Mentalpsychiatrist · 01/11/2014 12:43

Hi snowy. I'm good this morning. Been out riding for two hours and now contemplating getting started on the cooking for a dinner party this evening.

Pulledapart · 01/11/2014 12:49

Yes I had no choice with DD shouting "mummy get up I'm hungry" Grin I'm sure I would have just stayed in bed otherwise Wink

I think nowadays being ratty is just normal with DP's Grin

Hey snowy Smile

MP oh a dinner party sounds fun. U got everything planned?

EnpoTree · 01/11/2014 12:52

Pulled; I remember with shame that as a child I would physically pull my mother's eyelids open while saying, "Mummy? Mummy? Are you awake, Mummy?" so I think you got off lightly there Grin

Victrix · 01/11/2014 13:04

It could be worse- I woke my mum up once by doing the spell from Bedknobs and Broomsticks to try to turn her into a white rabbit Grin

Off to take loads of stuff to the recycling centre with DP then heading to the retail park to replace it!

EnpoTree · 01/11/2014 13:14

The funny thing is, I seem to remember I only did it because she had told me that she did it to her mother Grin

Shot herself in the foot there, I think.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 01/11/2014 13:16

I've got everything planned in the sense that I've bought all the ingredients but I haven't started cooking yet and will have to send DP out for the wine.

SnowyMouse · 01/11/2014 13:19

Sounds good, mp, have a lovely weekend.

Oh dear, pulled Wink

Grin Enpo and victrix

lemisscared · 01/11/2014 13:27

Crashed big time - dp and dd gone out. Ive shut down. I have had enough.

Pulledapart · 01/11/2014 13:27

Halloween Grin I'm sure DD will soon adopt new ideas for waking me up. I've had the eyelid one epnotree but I explained to DD afterwards that it hurts so don't do it again. Still surprised she understood that and hasn't done it again since then Halloween Hmm

Oh and I get turned into a frog everyday victrix my DD does a spell and even taps me on the head Halloween Grin of course I have to make the frog sounds afterwards as well for about 5 mins. She is obsessed with magic at the moment.

Wine would be good right now... Maybe I should take up drinking again Halloween Wink

Pulledapart · 01/11/2014 13:30

((( lem ))) hope the rest helps.

SnowyMouse · 01/11/2014 13:45
