Yeah yeah autocorrect Grin

Sure you've not just been thoroughly sampling the vodka??

EnpoTree · 30/10/2014 22:30

Vollkornbrot. It's the bread that Germans build houses from when they run out of bricks.

EnpoTree · 30/10/2014 22:31

Also, tins of chickpeas. Not tons. At least, my toilet hopes not.

EnpoTree · 30/10/2014 22:34

Mmm. Tasty cementbread.

Kinda wishing I had bought vodka instead now.

Victrix · 30/10/2014 22:55

When I saw tons of chickpeas I assumed you were doomsday prepping.

EnpoTree · 30/10/2014 23:38

Grin Nope. I just wanted some tinned in. I have kilos of dried chickpeas and chana dal and toor dal and mung dal and all this shit DP likes to cook for me Grin (he's a reeeeeeeally good cook which is why he does all of it) but when the hummus urge hits, all the dried chickpeas in the world will do you no good. And tinned hummus tastes like monkey smegma.

Victrix · 31/10/2014 01:49

I too keep tinned chickpeas on hand for emergency hummus situations Grin

I didn't know you could get tinned hummus. That just seems very very wrong.

TheOrchardKeeper · 31/10/2014 08:53

I also do online shopping so I don't have to face the weekend crowds or people in general can make better decisions. Otherwise I walk out with things I odn't need and forget what I went in for Grin

Hope everyone's ok.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN Halloween Grin

Victrix · 31/10/2014 13:07

Happy Halloween Halloween Grin

I have just woken up. Love a long lie.

SnowyMouse · 31/10/2014 13:15

I also do online shopping Smile easier to keep changing.

I went into town and got this dress, and I got some ready meals from M&S, yum. And some wool to make some Christmas presents.

Happy Halloween!

Victrix · 31/10/2014 13:21

That's a lovely dress Snowy Smile

I'm going to head into town in a bit, I need to go to the post office and I've reserved a hair dryer in Argos.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 31/10/2014 13:28

Ah that dress is lovely.

I've gone to Hanbury hall (national trust house) for a wander around the countryside and for some outdoor knitting.

What Christmas presents are you making snowy?

Pulledapart · 31/10/2014 13:31

Snap victrix I just woke up too Halloween Grin just having a Brew oh brave making a trip to post office in a Friday afternoon.

snowy love that dress Halloween Smile

Happy Halloween to all Halloween Wink

SnowyMouse · 31/10/2014 13:37

I'm making one of these. I don't want to say which one in case I out myself.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 31/10/2014 13:42

They're brilliant. I had to make the jelly baby ones of them as a commissioned thing a few years ago. 20 of the bloody things. We also always had the fairy on my tree as a child but she always was too heavy Confused

SnowyMouse · 31/10/2014 13:59

Gosh, that must have been repetitive. They are quite simple to make which is nice, simpler than they end up looking.

Victrix · 31/10/2014 14:00

Luckily I only need to go to the post office to send back some returns - they are all packed and labelled so I can fling them in from the door Grin

Pulledapart · 31/10/2014 14:08

Envy of ur creativeness ladies snowy & caulk they look so cute.

victrix Grin GrinGrin

CaulkheadUpNorth · 31/10/2014 14:11

It was one of those things that it agreed to without thinking though. Give me socks any day!

CaulkheadUpNorth · 31/10/2014 14:11

Thinking through I mean!

SnowyMouse · 31/10/2014 14:30

I can imagine! I find dpns too tricky for socks, I've tried a few times. I find chunky easier to use than dk, or 4-ply, or sock yarn.

nethunsreject · 31/10/2014 15:06

Hi, sorry I'm here for selfish reasons, not coping today.
I'd been doing better but got tonsillitis this week, slowly getting better but still rather poorly bit in utter panic today and tears. I am not feeling well, I've been given wrong dosage by shit gp, kids will be home soon and I can't look after them. Convinced I've got severe illness, rather than bog standard yukky winter ailment.
Can't cope with this :-(. I went back to bed this am for throat poorliness, but can't get up.

SnowyMouse · 31/10/2014 15:26

(((( nethuns )))) Tonsillitis is rubbish Sad Maybe have an easy day?

nethunsreject · 31/10/2014 15:54

Thank you snowy.
I don't cope well with ailments at the best of times! I'm terrified of having an autoimmune disease or similar , it's my fear more than cancer or anything!
I'm such a numptie .

TheSilveryPussycat · 31/10/2014 16:05

nethuns can you fling some easy grub at kids, and sit them in front of the telly?

I once arrived at a friend's house, to find her and her daughter lying around on the sofa with flu - her DD declared "We are a couple of poor old crocks!"
