I made a new one hope no one minds.

On NO MP - is this chest infection related? Hope so as I think physical illness is preferable to mental illness.

NanaNina · 22/10/2014 17:36

Oh so many of us without a paddle - Snowy - you've been sounding better lately - hope this is a little blip. Pulled sympathies - think the new face is probably Halloween. Looks vaguely like a witch.

Pulledapart · 22/10/2014 17:42

Oh yes I see that now Nana, thanks. How are u doing?

Mentalpsychiatrist · 22/10/2014 17:42

Hi Nana, this chest infection is lingering and I'm back to working full days this week and am drowning in paperwork already.

I feel fine mentally.

Pulledapart · 22/10/2014 17:49

((( MP ))) chest infections are horrendous mine took weeks to go and working on top of that must be so hard. Can you possibly get help with the paperwork?

Mentalpsychiatrist · 22/10/2014 17:56

pulled I'm sure my chest would be a lot better if I didn't smoke Blush

I get help with all my letters in that I dictate them and someone types them. It's NHS paperwork that's killing me. It's going to have to wait till tomorrow now because I'm going home.

Pulledapart · 22/10/2014 18:04

Fellow smoker here so no need to be embarrassed Grin

Good plan to go home and put your feet up with a Brew or Wine if you prefer although Wine is not advisable with antibiotics Grin

SnowyMouse · 22/10/2014 18:28

Well I've just gone and posted on the site stuff thread, waiting for the flaming - I'm feeling resilient or I wouldn't have posted.

SnowyMouse · 22/10/2014 18:32

Perhaps we should all make camp and try to make it nicer? Hmm

MySpideySenseTickles · 22/10/2014 19:22

Reading that has scared me that they're going to shut down the mental health board to appease those who are against people asking for help.

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 22/10/2014 19:28

((( spidey ))) I'm concerned about the effects on the board too. Sad

TheSilveryPussycat · 22/10/2014 19:29

Well, I'm feeling pretty good - my lovely Irishman is back, and we're off there soon.

However, I've often noticed, in many previous years, a blip around this time of year - as the days draw in and the clock change approaches not to mention Christmas around the corner

sending warmest wishes to all posters and lurkers

Victrix · 22/10/2014 19:41

I'm glad I almost made you smile NN Smile

Don't like the rest of the site at the moment Sad

Marshmallow anyone?

MySpideySenseTickles · 22/10/2014 19:43

I think I'm going to stay here for a while. The rest of mn seems rather upsetting and inhospitable at the moment.
There's no spiders at this camp is there? And did someone remember to pack the flask of gin?

OP posts:
Victrix · 22/10/2014 20:04

Don't worry, I brought my cat- spiders WON'T be an issue!

I have no gin but I do have honey rum.

NanaNina · 22/10/2014 20:05

What's the Site Stuff thread snowy ?? I can't imagine anyone flaming you snowy - your posts are always very polite (unlike mine) and you are always very measured.

I don't think we should worry about the MH thread - I think it's a bit of a storm in a teacup (so to speak) MNHQ know how supportive the MH threads are.

Well if we're going to make camp I think it will have to be another location. Shit creek is not good - NO - how about willow creek or something similar ....? NO there's no spiders there Spidey just a few birds and fish. Oh and we can make garlic veggies for you snowy

Hi silvery glad to see you're doing well. I'm going to Ireland next week to see my son DIL and grandchildren - we usually go every 6 weeks courtesy of Ryannair but haven't been since August so really missing the kids. They live on the East coast about 15 miles North of Dublin, quite near the border. The wind that whips in from the sea is very cruel and the rain - never seems to stop! Are you going to the North or South.

Must go and put something in the oven though god knows what.......

Anyone else need a paddle??

SnowyMouse · 22/10/2014 20:18

Willow creek sounds good! Smile

Good luck with next week, NN

NanaNina · 22/10/2014 20:34

Where do you find the "site stuff thread" Snowy

OK Willow Creek it is ..........x

How are you fluffy keema ??

Pyrrhagena · 22/10/2014 20:49

nn its under mumsnet stuff, site stuff, then there are two threads running, one titled MNHQ.....and one what is the rationale....

Attitude of some of the posters there is quite upsetting actually.

SnowyMouse · 22/10/2014 21:09

here
and here

SnowyMouse · 22/10/2014 21:35

Dentist tomorrow Sad I'll be glad when it's over and done.

nethunsreject · 22/10/2014 22:07

Hi all, I've been lurking away here, may I join you up willow Creek ;-)?
Snowy glad to see you, nana, spidey, all the villagers.
Those threads have made me feel a bit silenced on mn so just going to hang out with the village crew for a bit. I know they ain't about me etc but yeah, some of the attitude suck. Feels a bit like the dark ages. Long way to go until the stigma is gone.

Meanwhile I am (tentatively) a little better! Long way to go but I've made the first couple of steps.

Hugs x

Pulledapart · 22/10/2014 22:12

Just read some of the site stuff comments and wish I hadn't Sad

I'm liking the camp especially without spiders & yes l want some marshmallows Smile willow creek is a good name too.

Well DD is fast asleep I'm tucked up in bed, have remembered to take my meds. Going to watch the apprentice then hopefully fall fast asleep thanks to zopiclone.

Good luck with dentist tomorrow snowy

Wishing everyone a very peaceful night xxx

Loveisashadow · 22/10/2014 22:31

Hello everyone. Have been lurking a bit (old username Kat) because I'm still really struggling.

I just wanted to pop by and say that I graduated yesterday, so thank you for all of the support, especially Nana who posted on my orgininal thread all the way back in May when I was incredibly unwell.

I'm just adding some photos of the day to my profile for you to have a nosey at...should you wish :)

DizzyKipper · 22/10/2014 22:51

Hi everyone, just poking my head through the door, I'm not sure if I really belong here or not, or if I'd be welcome. I've a history of depression/suicide ideation but would say I've not been depressed for years now (though do still struggle with life). The problem is I was depressed/sui from a very young age and do feel that it's quite dramatically shaped my life/who I am as a person and that I need to address that to live the life and be the person I want to be. Plus I have 2 children, I don't want my life and past to have a knock on effect on them and negatively impact on their life. Just feeling like I need to sort myself out, and that maybe here is the best place to do that?
