Keep being safe fluffy

thanks for the lovely welcome nana and i will pop by as often as i can. Im happy to report i had a meeting with the bigwigs in our command team and am moving to another group of people - same job - just a different group but im hoping that it might solve a few of my problems with bullying. one thing a colleague mentioned is that i come across as "scatty" because i do things like talk to myself etc - but i really dont know how to be anything else, im not scatty....(well - maybe a bit) but when im actually in "work mode" im very focused and sensible so i dont know - im starting to think people just have a problem with the way i am and i dont know how to change it at my age.
anyway. i start with the new people soon so ill just try and reign my natural scattyness in a bit if i can remember....

katkins - hope you are still reading - you MUST talk to someone who can point you in the direction of the best resources to help you. Can you call the crisis team?

fluffy- glad you had a nice 1 - 1....ive never required any ip stays but it must be so hard, thinking of you. I think my mh issues are quite mild really in comparison to many on the threads, but i know how disruptive even mild symptoms are,

snowy - just saying "hi"...

hi to everyone else and the newbies. Does anyone know if ed is still around? she posted on the last thread - she wasnt feeling too good.

i had better attempt to tidy up the kitchen....dd leaves it looking like a bomb has gone off (a grated cheese bomb!)

be back later - love to all x

SnowyMouse · 15/09/2014 13:30

I hope the new team is better, vicar Smile I was wondering about Ed too.

Victrix · 15/09/2014 14:18

I was supposed to be cleaning the kitchen today. I've been watching netflix since 10am. Oops.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 15/09/2014 14:46

I have picked 2kg of sloes and have bought a lot of GIN!! Guess what I'm doing for the afternoon. At least it's helping the frustrating boredom of rehabilitation.

Having recently been where you are fluffy I hope it's as ok as can be expected.

Collardove · 15/09/2014 14:53

MP - that is what I call an afternoon of productive therapy!! I love sloe gin - it's my winter evening tipple :)

Vicar - good luck with your new team, a fresh start is what you needed :)

Mentalpsychiatrist · 15/09/2014 14:58

My DP will be thrilled when she gets home as our stocks have run very low. It's a favoured winter tipple in this house too. I wanted to make damson vodka as well but the crop on the damson trees was rubbish.

Collardove · 15/09/2014 15:03

I'm sure your dp will be hugely delighted!!

I pay £20+ a bottle for a good sloe gin :( Maybe I should indulge in a little home brewing myself....

SnowyMouse · 15/09/2014 15:06

Sloe gin, yummy! Sounds productive.

I have the dreaded supernanny on - I find it hard to watch news programs/documentaries, so semi-mindless tv helps distract/pass the time.

Victrix · 15/09/2014 15:13

Add me to the list of sloe gin lovers!

I have slimline tonic in my shopping that's being delivered.

I'd also put cigarettes in for the first time in about 6 years but went back and took them out. Replaced them with chocolate.

fluffydressinggown · 15/09/2014 15:17

Impressed at gin!

snowy hope you are managing to distract yourself.

Vicar glad you are getting sorted with work. Please never feel like your issues are somehow less important.

Victrix well done for no cigs!

seen dr still on constants

Victrix · 15/09/2014 15:26

I was never a regular smoker. No-one in RL knows!

Stupid Tesco putting easily ordered temptation in my path Grin

SnowyMouse · 15/09/2014 15:41

Well done on not getting the cigarettes, Victrix Smile Now I want chocolate, but my only planned food for the rest of the day is broccoli Hmm

I'm distracting myself fluffy, thanks for asking - I'm feeling anxious about the benefits forms still, but they could take a year so I need to forget about it really.

Was the dr useful, fluffy?

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 15/09/2014 15:56

I love sloe gin. I love gin, full stop!

Mentalpsychiatrist · 15/09/2014 15:58

I have to confess to loving cigarettes too Blush

Pulledapart · 15/09/2014 16:18

I too have too confess to loving cigarettes Blush my moto is "a fag a day keeps the Dr away" Grin

Victrix · 15/09/2014 16:33

Just had my shopping delivered. Part of me was hoping they'd forget to update the order and send me some ciggies Grin Blush

Did get my sweets, chocolate and tonic though!

Also got myself a gardening magazine so am going to read that with a Brew

fluffydressinggown · 15/09/2014 16:33

Grin at the cigarette lovers

Nothing from the Dr really, just to remain on constants and I should take my meds.

SnowyMouse · 15/09/2014 16:38

Hmm A friend of mine is really struggling with a good friend of hers (acquaintance of mine). She's faking symptoms (physical this time, before she's faked MH issues). It's so hard to know what to say to help. Sad

Pulledapart · 15/09/2014 16:49

snowy Hmm that is hard. Is there a particular reason she feels she needs to fake symptoms? Or does she really believe she has those symptoms?

Pulledapart · 15/09/2014 16:51

Ah victrix I've made myself a Brew now too Smile and already chomped on some chocolates. Hope ur enjoying the gardening mag.

MySpideySenseTickles · 15/09/2014 16:54

I've been stupid.

I've been dieting trying to feel better about myself and this week have been really strict and gained 3lb. I dropped ds off at school and went home and binged. I drank salt water in an attempt to vomit (stupid I know) but overdid the salt nearly 1/4 of a cup of salt in a glass of water, only managed to drink half and despite feeling really sick I only managed to vomit a bit of water, that was a couple of hours ago and since then I've drunk nearly 2lt of water and have horriffic diarrhoea, I seem to have triggered my ibs which had been dormant.
I've been really stupid now I've ruined my diet, shit my pants with explosive diarrhoea and probably destroyed my kidneys.
I'm a fucking moron.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 15/09/2014 16:59

spidey not the wisest move I'm sure you've ever made but keep drinking water to flush the salt out of your kidneys. Please tell me you don't take lithium.

Pulledapart · 15/09/2014 17:01

Awwww ((( spidey ))) u r absolutely not a moron!!! Have you got any meds for IBS u can take to calm things down?

Victrix · 15/09/2014 17:07

Best to keep drinking the water slowly and steadily Spidey
