Hi everyone

Victrix - so sorry to see you are in hospital :(

Snowy - nice to read you are feeling a little more chirpy today . Small steps as you have had a very unsettling few days x

Fluffy - that's a nice positive today :)

Fuzzpig - hope DS has a lovely birthday. I was always relieved when the parties were over. It's a stressy event even when it's just a few children.

I have had a fairly good day pottering around in my garden and feel quite ok :)

Keema - I echo NN - where are you? How are you?

Collardove · 27/09/2014 19:58

MP - did not see your post hiding on the next page!
I hope the meeting on Monday with OH goes well for you, and I am glad you are feeling better :)

SnowyMouse · 27/09/2014 20:00

I hope occy health are helpful, MP - are you after a phased return?

I'm glad you've had an ok day, collardove Smile

Collardove · 27/09/2014 20:08

(((Snowy))) :) x

Mentalpsychiatrist · 27/09/2014 20:52

Hi collar and snowy. Occ health are my first step in getting back to work, I have a couple of other hoops to jump through given my job but it's a start. When I do go back it'll definitely be on a phased basis. This is my third time out on sick leave this year and hopefully my last.

SnowyMouse · 27/09/2014 20:58

Fingers crossed it goes well.

fluffydressinggown · 27/09/2014 21:23

MySpideySenseTickles · 28/09/2014 10:58

Holland!! We're probably going to go to Holland and stay near Amsterdam, less travelling as its an hour to hull then overnight ferry and 20 mins to the resort. Mil might be coming and we will be there for my birthday and wedding anniversary too.
Less than Half the price of t'egypt as well. And there's a themepark and massive indoor water park with huge slides on site. (Caravans though but we're going for poshest ones)

fuzzpig · 28/09/2014 12:34

Oh that's so cool spidey! I hope to go to Amsterdam in the next couple of years. DD is mad about Van Gogh.

Apparently there's a really good museum for children in the city too.

MySpideySenseTickles · 28/09/2014 13:06

I've always wanted to see the anne frank museum ever since I learnt about it at school, and visit Gouda to see the cheese. I'm hoping we can do this one. Although we will get into trouble with the school because we're going in term time. He's only at nursery, what's he going to miss? "Advanced pee yourself in the sandpit"?
Besides the £60 fine is cheaper than the extra cost of going during the hols.
I can't seem to settle at the moment, I need to be moving all the. Time I ended up watching tv stood up bouncing last night.
Got to see the Dr tomorrow anyway so I think I'll tell her because it's really unusual for me.

violetsrblue · 28/09/2014 13:10

Hi everyone. I have been lurking here for a while and thought I would plunge in and post today. I have got my adult son living with me at the moment who is an active alcoholic. I am struggling most of the time but it's not all about that situation. I have got 'borderline traits', recently diagnosed. I have been struggling all my life pretty much but I am happy with the diagnosis as it makes sense to me. I've just started taking Seroquel slow release, before that it was Trazodone. My main thing I think that is problematic is social anxiety/isolation..seem to have fallen out with or am avoiding almost everyone.
I've been to Al Anon which was really helpful but getting to meetings is a hassle because I can't drive, and I live in a small town - all the meetings nearby are in different towns.
Just feel mentally exhausted with it all but there are good things in my life too.

Victrix · 28/09/2014 13:17

Hi violet Smile

Spidey I've only ever been in Amsterdam for the day, but we did a canal boat tour which was lovely.

How is everyone else today?

MySpideySenseTickles · 28/09/2014 13:25

Hi violet.

SnowyMouse · 28/09/2014 13:25

That sounds lovely spidey Grin Good luck with the dr tomorrow.

Welcome, violetsrblue Smile

I'm struggling, to be honest Sad How are you doing victrix? (and everyone else)

Mentalpsychiatrist · 28/09/2014 13:37

Amsterdam is great spidey, I'm sure you'll really enjoy it.

Hi victrix how are you feeling today?

I've spent the morning horse riding which was perfect therapy. Going to settle down with the papers for the afternoon and get a roast in the oven.

fluffydressinggown · 28/09/2014 13:40

vicar I am not at all cross with you, I am sorry if I upset you

spidey Amsterdam is lovely and you live near me I think!

My positives - washed, dressed, friend coming to visit me

Sounds good fluffy Smile I'm on a level 2 (which is my norm, I rarely ever get to level 3).

I'm about to experiment with my maths, CPN suggested recording how long it takes to lose concentration, then only work that time minus 5 minutes, and do something else instead.

Pulledapart · 28/09/2014 13:55

Still lurking and thinking of u all
((( hugs )))

Still at level zero - not made it out of bed yet Sad

Mentalpsychiatrist · 28/09/2014 13:56

Sounds like a good maths plan snowy. I take my hat off to anyone doing a degree in maths, it was nearly my undoing at school.

SnowyMouse · 28/09/2014 14:36

Thanks mp - I tried essay-based subjects last year, and just couldn't concentrate enough. I'm hoping maths will be different.

I think that's a level 1 pulled - we didn't have zero, too negative. Do you think you'll be able to get up today?

nethunsreject · 28/09/2014 14:59

Hi all, best wishes to all who are struggling. I'm struggling, as usual atm :-.

SnowyMouse · 28/09/2014 16:31
