We filled up your thread, snowmash! So here's another one.

Neither weather nor circumstance seems to be cooperating at the moment, so I thought we could do with a virtual garden to sit out in.

shodatin has started work already:
"we don't lose anything to the frost here, and nobody thieves our daffs and precious bay trees. Most days will be sunny I think, but sometimes we have rain at night, particularly when we've done some planting..."

And I think it needs a summer house with a chiminea or the like to sit round after dark and toast our tootsies.

Made a stir fry which turned out miles too hot - ds gave it a good old go but we gave him some canned pasta shapes and he was much relieved!

I'm ok really - recovered so far that I go all gung ho on something and then find out it's still too much.

Evening all. Sorry seem to have turned into Rip van Tianc (not in any pain).

snowmash I'm sorry you're on a section again. Ghastly for your sense of self, I know. Sad

I hope you did get to go outside in the end today.

Hugs madmouse. Thinking of you lots.

I will ask on Monday (or tomorrow but looks unlikely) what I need to do and if I can go out (that won't be changed until they decide whether to section me or not - hated the assessment last time :( dr kept filling in bits).

At least current one is short and only cimpels me to stay in hospital, not be treated tianc

snowmash · 02/04/2011 20:06

Ps I never thought of mardy as rude.

ThisIsANiceCage · 02/04/2011 20:31

Yeah, glad it's a short and limited one, snowmash. You know that I hope you'll decide to take the drugs, but that's me projecting because they worked so well for me.

Been thinking more about that. I said the drugs saved my life: but actually its more that they enabled me to save my life. Because they gave me myself back.

I knew I hadn't always been in so much mental pain, and so scrambled. So anything that plugged the real TIANC back in was welcome, even if she was pretty small and faint for a while. (Nothing special about the real TIANC btw, but I'm kinda used to her.Smile Always in need of improvement, but at least I know how she works.)

I've been really hoping the drugs produce a similar outcome for you.

madmouse what a hugely busy day!

Stir-fry sounds exciting tho - did the grown-ups like it? I'm pretty impressed that littlemouse tried it; lots of people on MN talk about kids who turn their noses up at anything even faintly new, never mind hot.

Trouble is it comes back to how can I take something that willhurt me

ThisIsANiceCage · 02/04/2011 21:10

How do you know it will hurt you?

OP posts:
ThisIsANiceCage · 02/04/2011 21:13

I can understand if it clashes with your other drugs, and that worries you.

I'm sure you're a past master at balancing interactions and side effects of this treatment versus that one.

snowmash I think it would help us all if we could understand why you think the drug would hurt you and why your docs would insist you take it even though it hurts you. Could you try to explain?

Mouseling eats everything - fajitas, Indonesian, curry, stir fry, he likes curry sauce or chilli sauce on his food too - the only thing he's ever refused on taste is rice pudding from a plastic pot Grin

Very sorry for rudely disappearing - had to go out all day but when I went to post that my PC - or internet - froze totally - & I couldn't say anything . hmmm.

Am still catching up with thread but would like to mention the obvious : how positive your efforts are ,snowmash in trying to find more info are so you can be certain of all you're being asked to do . Must be a huge effort when feeling scared .

Would just like to ask you - though another person will prob have done so by now -
Do you think the side effects of this drug are particularly risky for you , snowmash? ( not trying to pry )Or is it the potential side - effects of a particular class of antipsychotics that you don't find acceptable?
Or is it a return of the fear of being poisoned ? - poor you if so.

ThisIsANiceCage · 02/04/2011 22:42

I didn't think "mardy" was particularly rude either. (May be you're just too polite to describe other people like that, shodatin. Grin)

But Blush I'm not really qualified to use it either (suvverner here, too). But I've kinda overused grumpy recently. And cranky: another marvellous word, surely derived from German krank, ill, so particularly apt.

DP's Midlands family use "mardy". Mostly to describe his DCousin. Wink

snowmash* , thanks for explaining about opportunities to ask more and about going out - sounds exhausting trying to find someone who can answer & I wish you didn't have to wait . Sorry, didn't mean "walk" literally Blush.

Rip Van Tianc , thanks for reassuring us you're not in pain , but you still deserve lots of sympathy atm .

shodatin & snowmash, thanks for making me laugh so much with your answers to my mardy question . Your memory is incredible , shodatin - just the sort of thing I like to recall too.
Sorry you've been doing so many chores today - I feel guilty for having had several little jaunts recently and wish everyone on the thread could be feeling better etc.
I did go out of duty as was a day of political events / meetings things but really appreciated the chat and the journey . Lots of positive things happening , but I do need to look after myself properly , following the excellent example of people on this thread..

Hope pixie & kizzie have a good day tomorrow and hope madmouse can find time to for some pleasant activities after such an overworked week.

Hope you get some proper sleep , snowmash

Some confusion here - my new rude word was "mardyarsed", so am glad no-one here thinks its offensive but I won't be using it at meeting-house.

Sorry have to go to bed now, so wishing everyone a good night, with a specially cool and quiet night for snowmash.

cityhobgoblin · 02/04/2011 23:04

Ah , more mardy talk - thank you ! ooh yes, cranky - I always smile when I see the Mn nickname crankytwanky , if it's not bad etiquette to mention someone's name .
I didnt know mardy was used in the Midlands & I'm glad it's never anyone too close to home who attracts that adjective Grin

snowmash · 02/04/2011 23:08

I know they'll poison me, that never went away - just thought hurt was less emotive.

Why poor me?

I admire minimouse's taste! Can he share it with the hospital chefs? ;)

cityhobgoblin · 02/04/2011 23:09

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Thank you pixie , never expected answers.
I didn't lke to use the ruder word shodatin as you seem very modest and polite . Grin at meeting - house , quite so. I am too done in to go to Meeting tomorrow , hope you can go if you plan to.

madmouse · 02/04/2011 23:28

snowmash but why would they want to poison you?

don't worry about emotive - I rather hear the truth xx

ThisIsANiceCage · 02/04/2011 23:29

Thanks for telling us that, snowmash.

How do you know they'll poison you? How did you find this out?

(Sorry to be asking really blunt Qs: please don't feel you have to answer to us if you don't want to.)

OP posts:
ThisIsANiceCage · 02/04/2011 23:32

Sorry, meant:
How do you know the drugs will poison you?
