It's my fault that the NHS is too expensive

snow like Pixie said you could do with the gp, honest.

Is an early night on the horizon?

shodatin · 02/02/2011 22:32

Because it's not your fault that the NHS is short of money! You've had some expensive treatment I gather, and the GP has obviously decided you needed it, but this is not your fault, and you've done nothing wrong.
Sometimes people feel like this, and it can be due to depression, which is treatable.
Glad you had something to eat, it will help you stay the right temperature, sleep at night etc.

ThisIsANiceCage · 02/02/2011 22:38

Oh no, just seen your post about being scared of "triggering" people. I'm so sorry, that's probably been my big mouth making things worse for you. Sad

Glad you made it to the supermarket. One To Use One To Freeze is a good trick, isn't it? DP does the same for me (away during week).

We freeze semi-skinned without problems. Anyone want to bid a full fat freeze?

No, I didn't expect her to and don't think she'll have seen my email (maybe not til next week at the earliest, because I said it wasn't time dependent because I can't see anything 'wrong' apart from feeling a bit more rubbish than usual).

It's a very busy city practice and I have taken up a lot of her time.

Wonder if going somewhere else for a few days would help me feel less strange.

Nobody's made it worse for me ThisIsANiceCage - honesty's important.

I will come back and read properly tomorrow, just taken meds (and the new one makes me tired).

Thanks.

Have always frozen the full-fat organic milk, mainly because I drink so little of it and the bottles are too big for one person. I really admire anyone who can drink the skimmed stuff - you don't deserve to be large round the waist.
I was wondering why GP has not got back to you, then thought she would probably have to sort out at least one appointment.

Night all, and sweet dreams snowmash.

ThisIsANiceCage · 03/02/2011 01:00

Crawling to bed somewhat late, hope everyone else beat me to it and is snoring sweetly.

Morning all.

Handyman day for me. Far too much up and down - I plan to cower on MN all day. Smile

shodatin · 03/02/2011 11:28

If I go now, I can fit in a trip to town, leaving tomorrow free. I should do this, just rather a late start and too little ambition, but remembering "don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today", I'll go and get back later. Weather looks good.
Hope it's a good day for you snowmash, and everyone else on thread.

I've been looking at this for about an hour, not convinced but equally don't want to argue so leaving it.

Morning everyone.

Enjoy town shodatin!

Well done for making a doctor's appointment, Pixie!

Tea and hiding sounds like a good idea, ThisIsA (do you have any shortening you prefer?)

I got dressed then went back to sleep again and had nightmares - don't understand as the morning tegretol had stopped making me sleepy. I don't know if I should just hide til next week - too many noisy students around.

Snowmash - can you be really brave and phone your GPs surgery and ask for an urgent appointment. You really need medical help at the moment. Please believe us- we are all feeling for you but I'm worried about you having to wait till next week.

Just think if you pick up that phone for an emergency appointment you could have so many treats...........go on - go for it - it will only take a few minutes. Come back and tell us if you've managed it.

ThisIsANiceCage · 03/02/2011 14:15

Oof sorry about nightmares. Sad

So are you living on campus or in a student ghetto surrounded by screeching 18-yr-olds?

People seem to call me TIANC or Cage, btw. My cage is big one, with a variety of views, pretty wallpaper and an outdoor run. It's a very nice cage. Grin

Are you in just a single room? From what you said above, about the hospital bed cramming out the desk, I wonder if your physical environment is actually undermining a lot of your hard work?

Did you mention the council hoped to house you properly? Sounds like it could be a good idea - remove a factor exacerbating your health problems. Would have a good economic return, too, if you want to see everything in financial terms (which I don't agree with).

That's just me rambling on again. Please forgive me if I've got lots of things wrong.

ThisIsANiceCage · 03/02/2011 14:17

Has the GP got back to you yet?

snowmash · 03/02/2011 14:26

I'm not inside - that tends to be undergraduates, but they are very noisy down the road etc. Grads are noisy too, but I think that's because I keep getting older/the age gap keeps getting bigger, and I'm jumping at everything at the moment. Physical environment is a big, big problem. No, but I don't expect her to.

Handyman gone, carer gone. [tick] And relax...

Yes, GP should get back to you. But she may have seen the "not time dependent" subject line and be saving it for a quiet moment.

Or indeed be off work. Hmm, that's always a risk with email, isn't it. Maybe if no answer today you need to follow up - one of us could make a phone call for you - just to check she's working and email's working...
