This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

short message tonight catch up tmrw but I’m also up to 10!!!!!!
gonna daily weigh and check in on here
4 pounds to get off sure 2/3 will be water but last one will be stubborn. No real plans for next 2 weeks so got to really do it as then summer plans kick in

breif plan is 1300-1400 cals so not super low so no binge hopefully and 3/4 workouts a week which I’m very consistent with

replt prop tmrw!

@hollyblueivy sorry about the stone mark. I’m in the same position. Kinda gives u a kick though doesn’t it! U have a lot going on atm though so please be kind. Loosing weight is so hard anyways let alone with life stress.

@Bubbles44 its normal to have a few off days. We can’t eat so restricted all the time. Main thing if ur back on to fasting but don’t punish urself for eating more normally

im 10 stone exactly this am. Must drop it down. I’ve basically been eating and drinking non stop since my bday.

plans
no alcohol for 3 weeks
continue working out
1200-1400 cals daily

get to 10.12 in a few days I think but take me ages to get back to 10.10! Daily weighing and daily updates

@Smartmove You know where the pounds have come from and what you need to do to get back to where you want to be and have good self awareness of how to do that without risking binging, great plan.

I didn’t make my run yesterday but it will be done today without fail and then I’ll get to the gym over the weekend. Maybe with another run thrown in before the weekend is up.

I do really want to get to 10:9 as also mindful of summer holidays coming up and may need to maintain rather than actively try to lose weight, so would prefer to be a bit lighter.

10:12:3 this morning so feel much better about that. It’s the carbs that get me!

1400 but too many carbs as shared some of DS icecream. About to go on a brisk 30 min walk whilst DS has his piano lesson so end up 8000 I hope.
will weigh tmrw . Hoping to have dropped one at least?

I had bread and cheese at lunch. Oops.

Did a 3m run though. Was hard as was hot and humid with no air, had to walk 4 times.

steak tonight, probably with jacket and salad.

need to steer clear of the pudding. I do fancy a wine though.

Think I’ll probably check in here more frequently over the next couple of weeks as it does seem to make a difference and I need all the help I can get!

@Smartmove that's great for a Friday. Well done for getting the extra steps! Sounds like a great plan going forwards before the chaos of summer holidays!

I've had a bad week since Saturday night. Yesterday and today were good but not sure why I lost the plot with it all. I think forcing a long fast when feeling genuinely hungry was the problem for me so should have listened to my body more! Quiet weekend so hopefully all will be good!

Have a good weekend everyone. Am planning on staying on 1200 all weekend no alcohol and going to workout soon.
only dropped 0.4 overnight which is depressing

wil weigh again on Monday and really need to see that lower. Think more of it is fat that I though!!!

@Bubbles44 would a day a week not fasting work for u or something like that? It’s hard work fasting every single day ? Or are u just used to it now

Back in the 9's at least @Smartmove hopefully by Monday you'll see more of a drop. Is your goal 9.10? How are your summers holiday plans looking? I'm not away until the last week so hoping I can stay sensible until then!

Yes I wish I could do that @Smartmove my problem is I'm in the phase when I break my fast early I just eat all day and bad foods as I seem to go into diet brain and all or nothing. Need to work on it!!! 9.12 today. I need to have a good weekend and if I have a biscuit not go into panic mode!
Run done, should be able to fit gym in later!

Yes @Bubbles44 9.10 I think anything lower will be hard to maintain as makes me maintence calories below 1400 which is just not sustainable forever (and why I’ve gained this month) it’s been 4 weeks since my bday and I’ve just not really stuck properly to healthy eating

I have 2 weeks of no plans but then I am busy every weekend in August and away the last week of August. My master plan is to get to 9.10 before first weekend in August and enjoy weekends and be on it in the week so I don’t gain. Rather than go into self destruct mode for another month!

so yes 1st August 9.10 is the aim!

Morning, had to get straight out to do the food shop this morning so didn’t get a chance to weigh. Will weigh tomorrow but probably be up as having curry today and couple of drinks.

Planned a roast for tomorrow so will have a light brunch and then just wait for dinner.

I would like to get some exercise in this weekend too. May do a run tomorrow morning.

I know I’ll spike up on scales tomorrow / Wednesday but if I can get to 9:12 by Wednesday (ish) next week I’ll be happy. Baby steps!

Erm I meant 10:12 - blimey I’m a stone heavier that. You guys, you must look so slim. I’m 5ft 3 and my arms and legs are ok but my tummy is podgy.

Should have another 1400 day with little movement as tired and lazy.
think 1600 is my maintence (though unsure as I often eat below this in week then crazily over it at weekend) but think 1400 should give me a slow loss. Also fasting from 430 to 9am every day which I find fine

report back tmrw. Hoping to be 9.12 which gives me nearly 2 weeks to get 2 off!

Good day yesterday, more cals than usual but from healthy food. Today so far, so good! Feels nice just not having loads of sugar. I think I'll always be up on monday as longer eating windows etc but as long as it's healthy(ish)food I can cope!

Need a really good week before the kids break up!!

Mine ended high too. Although healthy ish. Extra dark choc, pitta, lots of almonds, banana so high cal and high carb.might save weigh in for Tuesday see how I feel in the morning!

Weekend good, did a run but no gym. No takeaway only a couple of drinks.

10:12:3 which is the same as Friday so a win for post weekend weigh.

9.12 today. Feel fine at this weight so hopefully push it down more before the weekend and then see what the weekend throws at me! No exercise other than walking today but I'll fast until 6!
