This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

Hi @Bubbles44 ! Oh dear don’t worry though and well done not weighing. Main thing is u don’t dwell over it and u move along!

I also had the most calorie laden weekend!

Friday - ate healthy all day yog/fruit. Salad for lunch. Chose chicken and veg at dinner but washed it down with half a bottle of wine and then a chocolate cake!!

sat - ate healthy all day. But another half bottle of wine and a 3 course meal.

sunday - slightly hungover / poor sleep and ate rubbish all day.

so the only win was ten thousand steps and not eating crap in the day on Friday and sat….i also didn’t do a workout

anyways on we go! I had a fab weekend and this is life. I’ve been good today managed 1200 cals. Will do the same Tues and wed and weigh Thursday. Suspect I’ll still be up!

@Bubbles44 sounds like things have settled down for you which is great.

@Smartmovegood assessment of your birthday weekend and a couple of wins in there too. Hope Thursday weigh is a reasonable one.

10:12:1 for me today. Going to try to weigh on Friday and move to weekly weigh as my weigh ins are a bit erratic and the moment and I could do with the structure.

Aim is still 10:9 - ideally I’d love 1lb per week so that would be 3 weeks - I’ll say 5 weeks as I know I don’t lose fast so end of July I want to be 10:9.

Haven’t been to gym yet and can’t go tomorrow so will have to be today and then will try again for Thursday. No plans this weekend so hopefully get some form of movement in then.

I’m sadly up 3 :( have had a good day Monday and Tuesday (not perfect though as had a few spoons of cake both days) so who knows what I was post weekend. I can’t bel I’m 10 stone ! Not been that for ages and just from a weekend???

anyway will try hit 1000 today . Workout today.
will weigh tmrw and hope im down at least one

A few days on plan will have you back down again soon, do you have much planned for the weekend?

I forgot not to weigh this morning and hopped on the scales. 10:13. I did a good workout at the gym yesterday and was hungry when I got home so think I put too much mashed potato on my plate!

I’ve boiled up a load of eggs to keep in the fridge and have been using them for snacks.

The creatine taking isn’t going well as I keep forgetting to take it! I need to get into a routine of taking it. I’ve heard good things about it and apparently it is well researched and with little to no side affects. It’s supposed to help draw water into the muscles making weight lifting easier and helping recovery.

I did so much walking too. Shows how little working out! But of course I continue to do it

i sadly have a jam packed weekend. But hoping I make sensible choices.

today will hopefully see one of those pounds off I’m hoping!

Ah it's so frustrating isn't it @Smartmove it's like our body knows we don't want to go into the next stone bracket. I feel so different at 9.13 as I do to 10 and nothing in it, such a mind game.
At the moment I'm going between 9.13 and 10.1. Goal is 9.12 for now and work down from there. Remind me not to go on holiday again!!!
Good week so far though, need a good weekend and then hopefully i can break this rut!

That's interesting about the creatine @hollyblueivy I've heard lots of positive things let me know how you find it. Hope you manage to get to the gym again soon!

Morning,

I feel like I’m having a good week with my food. I have had a few slices of sourdough toast but that’s probably the worst of it. Been a bit achy from gym the other day which is also kind of nice but hopefully when I am fully back into it I won’t get sore. I’ll exercise today, not sure if gym or run yet depends on weather when I finish work.

I can’t believe that we are nearly half way through the year. I really do need to get a few more pounds off before the end of the year as I always put on over Christmas and it takes an age to get it off.

I don’t have any plans this weekend so hoping I can keep on track and make some progress.

Right time to get back to it!!! I went out last night and again pudding and wine!!!!! I have a full weekend of guests but I’m staying strong. No pudding. No wine. Stick to 1200 cals and work out. Will check up on here daily….not sure if should weigh today willl be massively up!!!!

Is that your plan for today or your plan for the weekend? If it’s your plan for the weekend, if you don’t mind me being honest, it doesn’t sound realistic. Perhaps you could plan in what you are going to allow yourself so you don’t feel like you’re completely missing out. Have that thing or things over the weekend as planned and then be good around it. Not sure if that helps or if it would work but 1200 calories is hard on a normal day, let alone when you have guests all weekend. Good luck with it whatever you decide to do and hope you have a good one.

That's such good advice @hollyblueivy. Plan treats and enjoy rather than make one mistake and then go crazy! Hope you have a great weekend @Smartmove you'll be back on it on Monday. You seem so good at getting back on it!

Enjoy your food this evening @hollyblueivy you've done so well over the last few weeks to not go crazy, sounds like a really good week with the gym and food. Be kind to yourself!

I was 9.13 yest so weirdly dropped one after the night out. Bizzare. I had pudding yest but didn’t drink.
my family member is on a diet and said she’s not drinking or having pudding today so I’ve said I’m sticking with her! Am hoping to do that as I enjoyed yest and I didn’t feel like I missed out - thanks for the advice @hollyblueivy

ill weigh myself on Monday. I’ll be up but hopefully drop

I was 9.12 today. Lowest since holiday so feeling good. It's been a good weekend so far. Planned tomorrow out so just need to stick to it and hopefully I can start the week positively!

Well done on getting to ans maintaining the lower end of your weight @Bubbles44

I feel like I have been doing ok, didn’t have any alcohol over the weekend, no takeaway, not many treats and during the week been good. I’ve stepped up
the movement with gym / walking / running. Mostly walking but others thrown in there too.

scales not budging though so it is a little disheartening and I’m wondering if I am kidding myself with the good decisions I think I’m making.

That's great @hollyblueivy getting closer to 10.9. Well done for a good weekend. Such a struggle isn't it.

I've had such a hungry day. I did have some chocolate but it was instead of a nice healthy dinner, so calories not much different but nutrition definitely was.

It's so disheartening when scales don't budge, but what's the alternative I always think if we give up! I've been 9.12 since sat. Probably up tomorrow because of the sugar!!! Ahhh

The hungry days are odd aren’t they, when I have them my willpower often goes out the window and it’s like nothing will actually satisfy the hunger.

I’ve had a run today and I'm hoping to get to the gym tomorrow. I really enjoying both although it’s still not as frequent as it was before, but it’s also making me feel more like myself again which is good. Got some new trainers but they are hurting a bit so may have to revert to my old ones for running. The new ones should be ok for the gym.

My body feels thinner today so I’m going to weigh tomorrow as hoping for a drop!

Sounds like a great week @hollyblueivy well done on the exercise! Glad you're feeling more like yourself. Hope things are going well with your mums treatment. Hope you get that drop today. Nice when you actually feel slimmer.

9.11 today. I needed that to keep me going. Makes me realise that if I do slip up I don't have to give up that day totally and you can work chocolate into your day and don't beat yourself up. That said, it does make me feel rubbish so need to avoid. Run done, fast until 4!

Glad you had a drop too, will you try to maintain where you are? Remind me, do you fast until 4pm everyday and then is that your dinner?

10:11:7 - Only a little drop, say 3lb to get to 10:9 but still happy to be feeling better in my body and hopefumake some more progress by next Friday. Going to try to stay away from the scales but will report back if I forget or happen to step on them before next Friday.

Treatment for mum is going well and she could be having surgery this month. Just trying to keep a bit of normality between the treatments as this could be a long road to recovery.
