I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

Did you weigh yourself before the fast and will you weigh after? How often do you usually weigh?

10:13:00 again for me today. That's about 1lb on from last Friday.

Aim is 2lb off and 10:11:00 by next Friday.

Mixed weekend ahead but should be able to manage it.

No- I’m quite sporadic with weigh ins. Just do it when I fancy it really! Fasting has lots of health benefits other than weight loss but o do need/ want a weight loss too. I don’t mind standing on the scales helps motivate me…

2lb off a weekend when you’re not very heavy seems huge to me! You guys are amazing!

jelly79 · 07/06/2024 09:58

Serialcatmum · 07/06/2024 06:31

@jelly79 yes. I did one a few weeks ago and felt great. During the day it’s all good but I struggle to sleep when I’m fasting! I genuinely considered coming and having a boiled egg at 2am cos I wanted to sleep!

up this morning and been in the gym and feeling better already. I had a big cup of water first thing..

I’m considering adding a tiny bit of salt to my water to help hydrate as I keep feeling thirsty, despite drinking plenty.

thank you.

Do you not take electrolytes when you fast? Would really help with your hydration and would make you feel better, I've only done a few longer fasts so I'm no expert. My friends fast quite a bit though and always have them :)

I have MCT coffees when I fast though, really curb the hunger

jelly79 · 07/06/2024 10:00

Weighed today at 10s 6.8lbs
Ran 5k
And burnt a load of calories cleaning like a maniac

I have a surge of energy after 4 days no sugar but I am getting withdrawals!

Shower and food (salmon and spinach) and then I need to get out to the library to get some work done!

Tea tonight will be a roast chicken and bacon salad

Greek yoghurt, protein and berries for my chocolate substitute tonight

Smartmove · 07/06/2024 10:06

Glad ur back @jelly79 and ur weight is doing fab! Well done

@hollyblueivy back ur under 11 what’s ur weekend plan

well I had 2 rounds of sordough and a lot of crisps yest was massively starving and then AF came today - so explains that!

am annoyingly 10.6.2 today. Am turning up the pressure after Sunday to drop below 10.5 am bored of this weight!

Smartmove · 07/06/2024 14:49

Going ok today. Did my 1 hour PT and 8000ish steps today will end on 1100 if I don’t snack!!!! A bit peckish if I’m honest but need to push through. Don’t know how u girls do such long fasts

hoping back to 10.5 tmrw (yawwwnnnn). Then tmrw have friends over for drinks oops. But we not eating and I’ll do a long workout! So then hoping to maintain the 10.5 on Sunday
and then start dropping!!!! I’ve decided I’m going to be boring and eat the same most days and just stop the thinking about food…and hope that pushes this last 2 pounds off me!

Smartmove · 07/06/2024 17:14

Fasting begins.
weighing tmrw - just can’t stay away from the scale!!!

jelly79 · 07/06/2024 20:10

Nono haven’t for the last 2 but will order some for next time.

I’ve also got some ketones strips so I can see if I’m a fully in ketototis!

In lasted 46 hours. Could have gone to 48 hours but was going to a friends house for dinner and we ate at 7 so that’s that.

Hoping for a good sleep tonight. Was tired after such little sleep last night. Pleased I did it though and finished the night off on 1400cals (I allow myself up to 1600 on a Fri/ Sat/ Sun.

Well done for getting out there and getting a good run in!

@Serialcatmum amazing well done ! In awe of all you long fasters!

I managed to not snack. So pleased with 1100 given a I did a good workout for an hour.
tmrw will be 1600/1700 due to wine! But then Sunday back on track !

hollyblueivy · 08/06/2024 09:23

Sounds like you're all doing well, which is fab. Some good workouts too which helps .

@Smartmove I might think about having the same lunch/dinner for a few days next week.

@Serialcatmum That's a fab fast - also hoping to take some inspiration to try a fast next week - maybe 20-24 hours.

My food hasn't been great this week, yesterday especially and I've only had one workout. Can't remember the last time I only had one in a week, but my body felt tired and I think it has needed the rest. Not sure when I'll get my next one in around family stuff.

10:12:6 today.

Serialcatmum · 08/06/2024 09:34

@hollyblueivy thank you.

Sounds lovely! I tend to make a huge meal Sunday and then we have it mon- wed. Mainly cos I’m busy and don’t like cooking mid week but also cos I’m happy to eat the same thing 3 nights in a row!

Bubbles44 · 09/06/2024 06:29

Hello everyone! Back from holiday.
Weighed in at 9.11 which is a
2 pound gain! Which seems crazy. I usually have a bite of a bagel and gain more. Do you think it will catch up with me? Was expecting to be in the 10’s.
Anyways, long run this morning and fast until 1ish.

Sounds like you guys are doing good. Long fasts and low cal days, hope the results are going your way!

My aim for June is 9.7.

hollyblueivy · 09/06/2024 06:39

Welcome back @Bubbles44 hope you had a lovely time away. 2lb gain is a win! Did you stick to your general plan and do your runs? Maybe it just balanced out quite nicely. As long as you enjoyed some treats and don't feel too restricted that's a great way to holiday!

My food wasn't too bad yesterday but had quite a bit a few drinks. Will check the scales in a bit. I'll try to have 0-1 drinks today only.

My reset didn't really work last week so will be trying that again from tomorrow.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 09/06/2024 07:04

It’s definitely a win just a bit confused as I ate so much more than usual and wasn’t as active. I did 4 runs, would have liked to have done more but too hot even at 6am. Did do some long fasts but the 6 desserts a night and sugary mocktails were not part of the plan.
Had the best time though and definitely didn’t deprive myself.

Hope your reset clicks this week @hollyblueivy . I know frustrating but you are not gaining so you are doing well. Hard when plans take over and general life.

Smartmove · 09/06/2024 10:25

@Bubbles44 welcome back! That’s amazing well done u! I don’t think it will catch up. U were being so disciplined before going ur body was prob in a deficit. And weight loss is not linear and our body do odd things - but great this is a good odd thing! well done I can put on half a stone easily whilst away!

I didn’t weigh today but I’m going into overdrive / really on it from today. I want this last 2 pounds over in the next 12 days . Stuck to plan last night despite friends over and had 2 drinks and no snacks. No alchol now for 2 weeks.

legs still aching from my PT so rest day today

jelly79 · 09/06/2024 14:10

Well done @Bubbles44 were you all inclusive? That's amazing!

I have been busy all weekend so having a lazy afternoon but I am sick of this weather and I know I'm going to comfort eat soon enough! X

Smartmove · 09/06/2024 15:49

I’ve closed early. Wanted some choc after eating but instead having a herbal tea and it’s passed. 17 hour clean fast starts now!

900 cals today. No excercise and not many steps though.

Bubbles44 · 09/06/2024 17:44

Yes @jelly79 all inclusive. No idea how i managed it. I’ve been evaluating it and I think in normal life i eat mainly just whole foods but I don’t calorie count. The foods I eat are lots of full fat Greek yogurt, nuts, seeds, dark chocolate and lots of evoo poured over all salad and veg. So all high fat/ high cal foods. So maybe I had a similar amount of calories that I do at home just different food. I don’t drink and only drank water after 7.30 in the evening. I was very mindful but ate a lot of sugar. Maybe I need to move to a Greek island forever and this will all be easier 😂.
Annoyingly after today’s pleasant surprise I have obviously self sabotaged! Eaten lots of rubbish! Blame the holiday blues, rain and unpacking!
I need my routine back!
Hope I can make 9.9 by Friday!

That’s great for a Saturday night @Smartmove . Are you on holiday in a couple of weeks did you say?

Definitely up for a big reset week. Need lots of good fasts and no sugar and lots of movement!!

hollyblueivy · 09/06/2024 20:00

I've had about 2,000 calories in alcohol this weekend.

Expecting a gain tomorrow.

I was 10:13:7 today and think I'm going to try weighing every other day this week - so will weigh Tuesday next.

OP posts:
Serialcatmum · 09/06/2024 21:46

Finishing the day on 1600 and had 1800 yesterday but was happy with that after VLC all week.

back to 800 cals tomorrow and fasting 20ish hours xx

hollyblueivy · 10/06/2024 07:42

Morning, Monday is here yet again!

Pleased I didn't weigh this morning and will go longer if I can but as a minimum it will be every other day.

I've downloaded the Nutracheck app and will also try to track the number of calories I'm having which will hopefully make me more mindful of what I'm eating and drinking. I think I can only put a limited number of things in each day though without paying for access. So not sure how that will work.

What are your plans and goals this week?
