I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

Good day yesterday! Run done today and will fast until 6!
weigh tomorrow to see what the damage is!

hollyblueivy · 12/11/2024 07:42

Well done on your run, I know it's still a bit mild but think it's too cold for me to even try to get out in the morning now!

I'm pleased with yesterday. Plan today is to attempt a non fast but eat less during the day - going to try to just have fruit during the day until dinner. Might not work but I'll give it a go.

No gym today but will try for a walk.

Well done both of you. Totally with you @hollyblueivy even going to do my
pelaton which is in our grubby basement is a bit much for me!!!!

good day yest , feeling like maybe I’ve dropped a tiny bit nearly weighed but will hold out till Friday . Really was fairly reserved on weekend (not great but not terrible) only had 2 drinks this week too. So surely will drop if I continue! Just want to be 10 stone and then stop. When I started this thread aim was 10.8
then I got there and moved it to 10.3
but I think being 10 will be better for wriggle room esp with Xmas coming up

Smartmove · 12/11/2024 16:38

Will be ending on 1200 and very high carbs due to a choc marshmallow situation! No gym today but will do tmrw. Really wanted to weigh this am. Will wait till Friday!

Bubbles44 · 12/11/2024 19:15

That’s great @Smartmove so nearly there. You’ve done amazing! Sounds like you’re in a great mindset! Well done for holding off weighing!
Good day. Not sure if I’ll weigh tomorrow. See how I feel in the morning!

Smartmove · 12/11/2024 20:10

ugh! Ate a huge piece of milk choc it was so tasty! Ending on 1500 and extremely high carbs. And no gym
annoying!!!!!!!
must pull back wed and Thursday and have zero sugar so I see that drop on Friday! Def not weighing tmrw will just make me wanna throw towel in

Bubbles44 · 13/11/2024 06:41

10.1 - pound on from this time last week. As annoyed with myself as I am, it was a birthday celebration and we had fun!! Doubt I’ll see a 9 this week. Fully committed to a good weekend!
You are doing great @Smartmove still low calories even with the chocolate.
Are you doing the Friday weigh in @hollyblueivy? do yo feel like you are back on it now?

hollyblueivy · 13/11/2024 07:01

@Smartmove 1500 isn't too bad overall especially as you had chocolate. Keep going.

@Bubbles44 Goos way to look at your weigh in today without being hard on yourself unnecessarily.

I am Friday weighing now but really tempted to step on the scales today to check the number has gone down even just slightly. I did have a big dinner last night though as I managed to eat quite light during the day. Did also have some dark chocolate.

I'll report back if I weigh.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 13/11/2024 07:15

I weighed ! I shouldn’t have :(
still 10.3
hoping it’s alll the carbs yest
so hard!!!!
right today and tmrw really need to watch those bits of toast of the kids and the carbs !

Smartmove · 13/11/2024 07:20

This week I’ve been average on 1300 cals
how does that not result in a loss! And I’m keeping up the exercise. This is so depressing
doubt I’ll have a massive woosh this next 2 days :(

hollyblueivy · 13/11/2024 07:26

@Smartmove It's hard isn't it, that's a lot of effort you're putting in and you need to see the results to make it worth it. Hopefully in the next couple of days you'll see a further drop. 1lb can easily fluctuate though doing on workouts, water, carbs, toilet etc so don't read too much into it.

11:0:3 - so close to being back in the 10's - hopefully by Friday!

OP posts:
Smartmove · 13/11/2024 08:21

Scales have done exactly what they do - put me in a foul mood!!!! I’m busy this weekend too with
Friday drinks
sunday roast
guests over Sat

-just regigged my cals today so that I’m under 1000 today and tmrw which looks like what I need to loose

yest carbs were 150! I try keep below 70 so hoping I have lost and today was some water weight from yest

well done @hollyblueivy u will def be back in tens by Friday!
@Bubbles44 its so hard!!!! But I think if u have busy weekends the odd pound gain is normal. I can only loose if I’m super on plan at weekends too it appears. Waaaaaaa!!

maintence doesn’t look very fun as I near the end of my loss!

Smartmove · 13/11/2024 17:06

ending on 900 and did pelaton and 20 min arm work out
will repeat tmrw
surely will have a drop Friday!

Bubbles44 · 13/11/2024 17:44

Sounds like you’re doing great @Smartmove frustrating when it doesn’t go to exact plan but sounds like it will Friday!!
Hope you’ve had another good day @hollyblueivy and Friday you’ll be in the tens!
Good day here! No run but managed over 20k steps! Ready to break this annoying weekend chocolate binge rut im in this weekend!

Everythingaches · 13/11/2024 18:18

Can I join please, what do I need to know?

hollyblueivy · 13/11/2024 18:30

@Everythingaches

You are more than welcome to join. We're just a group of ladies trying to lose weight, stay consistent, maintain from time to time, go mad on weekends occasionally and repeat!

I've lost a couple of stone from originally starting and it was kind of the last half stone ish that I've been trying to lose. Recently gained half a stone though so currently weighing around 11stone and would like to get to around 10stone 3ish

How much do you weigh and how much would you like to lose? What method do you use? Do you workout?

OP posts:
Everythingaches · 13/11/2024 18:33

Thank you!
im 145lb and 5ft 1.
i work out several times a week.
i do well for about two weeks then I get bored and boredom eat! Working at home doesn’t help!
I was 154lb a few months ago.
first goal is to get to under 10stone.

Smartmove · 13/11/2024 19:29

Welcome at @Everythingaches
@hollyblueivy sums it up very well lol!

we all do some form of fasting - I do 16 hours and @Bubbles44 does one meal a day . I calorie count. Too. I have my final 3 pounds to loose to get me to 140 and am literally taking all year about it!!!!! Are u planning on fasting @Everythingaches

@hollyblueivy your description cracked me up 😂

Everythingaches · 13/11/2024 20:01

Maybe 16 8 then calorie counting during my eating window?
I need to get my head back in, would love to be under 10st by the end of the year,

Smartmove · 14/11/2024 07:01

@Everythingaches thats what I do. It works except my weekends slow down my progress.
another good day planned today no workout possible but fingers crossed tmrw is a drop!

Everythingaches · 14/11/2024 07:37

I go to an early class twice a week so already done that today. Have to eat a banana before I go so fasting gone a bit wrong today. Also I’m up to 146lb.
onwards and downwards. Why is it so easy to gain weight but so hard to lose it!

Smartmove · 14/11/2024 07:47

same weight again today

I think my lack of loss must be all the weights I’m doing. I’m doing strength training 3 times a week and got a lot of DOMS. Surely I can’t be the same on a cals of 1300 for two weeks? Or I’m at another plateau this being the lowest weight I’ve been in over 15 years

got to keep pushing through!

hollyblueivy · 14/11/2024 08:42

It could be the weight training as muscles will hold onto water to assist in the repair.

It could be that you're at a good low weight now and your calories needed to be in a deficit are lower.

Are you strict with counting your calories and do you track every single thing, weigh, measure etc?

OP posts:
Smartmove · 14/11/2024 09:48

I weigh and track everything except veg . But I add them onto my allowance still - so I’ll cut some cucumber up and put it as 100g but it might be less or more (but not like vastly more) and usually I use a packet at a time eg broccoli so I go on what packet weight is.

my average cals for last week was 1300 and tmrw will be 1200. No way I can’t loose on that? I think it’s the strength training as I’m going quite hard on that and have DOMS most days. Least that’s what I’m saying and hopefully next week will be a woosh. Let’s see what tmrw shows on scale. Have another 900 cal day planned today

I also had low carbs and 900 cals yest and usually that would see a drop - but I’m the same and I worked out yest.

need to go back to weekly weighing!

hollyblueivy · 14/11/2024 10:02

Keep going you're doing everything right. Agree on that calorie number you should lose.

Water intake ok?
