Well done @hollyblueivy ! U can do it
i cant even contemplate that I get so hangry when I’m hungry

but I’ll join u tmrw on a low calorie day….

Smartmove · 23/05/2024 07:13

10.5.5 today. Agh! Right low cal low carb 2 days before I go!

hollyblueivy · 23/05/2024 07:18

@Smartmove That is totally manageable. Have you been taking on fibre too to stay regular and drinking lots of water to flush through. 2 more days - you can do it!

10:11:7 today - feel better about that.

I've done some good workouts Mon-Wed so might let myself have a rest day today. Feeling tired already and can't imagine I'll feel much more energised later with the fast.

Just having my black coffee now and it's not completely disgusting.

Hope you're all sticking with it today and feeling good.

lol @hollyblueivy i quite enjoy black coffee now am used to it
good luck with today!

hollyblueivy · 23/05/2024 07:35

Thank you hope I can stick it out!

I was looking at my stats on my scales and it looks like my muscle mass has gone up recently by about 2lbs. It was quite static for ages so not sure if this is a blip or if I now have a little bit more muscle from the gym. If so. That could explain why I think I look ok in the mirror but the scales have still been high(ish).

Just a thought and I'll keep an eye on it.

Thanks @TooExtraImmatureCheddar would u say the iron is a good place to start? Not too crazy? I have bands already but no dumbbells which weight do u recommend I start with? 4kg? I have 2 but they too light

I have a set of adjustable weights so I can add or subtract as required. So far I've used 10kg, 5kg and 2.5kg for different videos.

11.9.4 today! Progress. Pleased with that as yesterday I had mussels and sourdough bread for dinner and was worried that the carbs would throw it.

Those stats are very impressive, @hollyblueivy, and good luck with your clean fast! I've never tried one so will be interested in how it goes.

My first goal is 10.10 - my lowest weight last year. Then my second goal is 9.11, which is BMI 25 for me. NSV, though - ordered two pairs of Zara size 12 jeans this week and they both fit! Admittedly they're both baggy styles that are meant to be loose, but I'm still counting that as a win.

Smartmove · 23/05/2024 12:47

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar well done that’s a fab drop!

going strong here. Black coffees shake and just had my chicken salad.
dinner is eggs

will be 900 cals and low carbs. Just need to get through the last 9 hours of the day! 900 isn’t even that low but I seem to struggle below 1200 these days (used to do 900 all the time). I think sadly my goal of 10.4 is def out the window after yest eating (I had more dark choc and a slice of pizza too!!!!)

Smartmove · 23/05/2024 16:34

Kitchen firmly shut and key thrown away on 920 cals
also did a long session on pelaton
not weighing tmrw as will just encourage me to eat if I’ve dropped

will weigh on sat and hope I’m below 10.5 !

Bubbles44 · 23/05/2024 19:09

Hello,

Hope the clean fast went well @hollyblueivy . Did you find it hard? Find comfort in the black coffee? Hopefully a good loss tomorrow.

Hope you can get 10.4 by sat @Smartmove. Another low day tomorrow might get you there. How long are you away for?

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar amazing loss. Sounds like a good week and amazing about the zara jeans 🤩

After the disaster of yesterday, good day here. Broke at 5, had a bowl of seeds, nuts and fruit. Lots of Greek yogurt and closed. Not sure if I’ll weigh tomorrow or wait until Saturday but feel good. Weekend is in my control. friends visiting but our plans mean I can eat what I want, no big meals or anything. I just need to be in a good mindset!

hollyblueivy · 23/05/2024 19:54

I could have demolished a crisp sandwich about 4ish but pushed through until 6:30 for dinner - 23 hours!

Had three black coffees and 800ml water.

Surprised how easy the black coffee was to drink.

Managed ok today but think my mind was set for it and I'd likely find it harder on another day.

Dinner has been had (and pudding!)

Going to weigh tomorrow then not weigh for a few days.

Smartmove · 24/05/2024 07:28

10.5 again!!!!!

well done @hollyblueivy good work! Good idea to not weigh a few days I should have done same

hollyblueivy · 24/05/2024 09:17

10:10:6 today - not quite the 10:10:00 that I wanted but closer than I have been for such a long time.

Much if this good work will be undone and after half term I'll probably need a reset but glad to have given myself a little leeway. I'm not completely going off the rails but will have some drinks and treats along the way. I'll also keep my exercise high to help offset.

The scales are being ditched for the next few days but will still check in on here to help me remain as mindful as I can!

@Smartmove that's still a slight drop from yesterday so that's good!

Great work @hollyblueivy well done again for yest .

im doing a low cal day again today so hoping to at least dropped 0.1 pounds so im in the 4s haha!

im going to check in a lot here whilst away to keep me steady. I don’t want to have more than a 2 pound gain . Ideally I want to stay the same but atm even that is challenging and when you sit down with people to eat dinner it’s inevitable that portions will be a bit bigger and even the food inside me will weigh more. But if I’m thinking brekkie and lunch can be totally on my terms . Will keep coffee black . Stick to yoghurt and then the eggs for lunches. Need to decide what to do re drinking - I would like to say 1 glass only 2 of the nights but I know I’ll get tempted! I can def stick to the one glass but better if I don’t think all 3 nights

im back on Tuesday so can jump st back on

Bubbles44 · 24/05/2024 13:37

Fab, you’re both doing great. Hope you can both get it down a notch tomorrow to get to where you want to be and enjoy the long weekend.

Not great here. Really good day yesterday and I’m snacking today. Just can’t get my head in it! I think it’s not helped as dh has been away this week so I’ve not managed a run since Tuesday, exercise is a massive mindset thing for me. Also think I’m stressed getting ready for hols.
Just been thinking about my strategy and thought about not weighing until Thursday! Thought this might massively motivate me as want to feel good for holiday. A big gain tomorrow might make me press the f it button! Ah it was so easy last week.

Smartmove · 24/05/2024 16:11

Kitchen closed early today as hungry
shake
tuna on low carb bread
pulled pork and salad
some dark choc - this wasn’t on my day plan given I’m going away!!

928 cals. No excercise or steps as PT away and the 2 kids have driven me to exhaustion!

@Bubbles44 dont u worry. We are all similar in this thread. So it’s not just you. I don’t know anyone who can keep up the resolve every single day long term it’s so hard and our minds start playing with us the closer we get (or the further we are). Just have to know u will get there it just may not be when you want it!

I set up this thread exactly a year ago!!!! I’ve lost 15 pounds in a year which is actually quite poor!!! Average of 1 a month!!!! But I’ll get there shame it’s taking me so god dam long!

Bubbles44 · 24/05/2024 17:46

Sounds a great day getting in less than 1000 cals. Hope you make the 10.4’s tomorrow. I really need a low calorie week. Hope my run in the morning resets my brain!

I think that’s great, in a year losing and maintaining that loss. I know it’s not a straight line down but it’s consistently lower. I was listening to a podcast today and it was saying the average person who diets will be only 2 pounds less after 2 years so you’re beating that statistic and haven’t given up!

hollyblueivy · 24/05/2024 18:04

Well done @Smartmove for having a couple of low calorie days and I completely agree with @Bubbles44 about 15lbs off over a year is so good. If you wasn't being mindful you probably would have put on, we've all seen how easy it is in a weekend or week away.

@Bubbles44 what podcast was that? I love a good fitness podcast

Bubbles44 · 24/05/2024 18:30

@hollyblueivy It was the latest rich roll one with johann Harri about ozempic. A really interesting listen. Hope you’ve had a good day!

Smartmove · 24/05/2024 20:27

Waaa I had some more dark choc and ending on 1200!
need to hide it on my return

Smartmove · 25/05/2024 07:20

Morning girls we on our way with my black coffee

im still 10.5!! Realised ovulating so that partly explains things. Plus I’m prob hit another plateau. Shame I can’t fully push through but I’m going to be very focussed these next few days . Hoping not to be more than 10.7 on return.

Bubbles44 · 25/05/2024 08:30

Sorry you didn’t hit 10.4, enjoy your break and I’m sure it won’t take long when you’re back on it.
Right I’m on it. So good going for a run again today, feel so much better now! Busy morning so should be able to resist eating until about 3. Really hope I can resist weighing until Thursday.

Smartmove · 25/05/2024 10:26

Good luck @Bubbles44

i never use ovulation week it’s so weird af doesn’t affect my weight as much but ovulation does! Just had 2 sausages for brekkie (kids ate my egg and mushrooms). Have a protein bar for lunch whilst prob still in car!
