@jelly79 Well done on completing the half marathon!! What a fantastic achievement! Boob blisters sound bloody awful! How did you fall over, hope it didn't affect your running. Will you be booking another or too soon to ask .....

@Bubbles44 Fab to see that weight, the no sugar must really make a difference. I couldn't do it!

@Smartmove That's still a really good weight! Don't be too hard on yourself, it's not far off where you want to be and you just still feel great?!

10:12:8 for me today Need to keep the focus this week. Likely to be Monday to Thursday as have plans on Friday.

My 4 day plan -

Tea / coffee x4 plus at least 1.5L water
No breakfast - eating window 12:30-6:30 (18:6)
Lunches - protein focus mackerel, egg, lamb soup, salad
Dinner - Protein focus with either veg or salad and try to keep carbs low

No snacks and no chocolate or treats - except I do have a tub of Greek yougurt which needs to be eaten so that either in meals or with a cinnamon sprinkle.

Some form of exercise every day - without fail - even if just a walk

I'm sort of sticking with it - scales are going gradually down during the week and back up at weekends. My food has been much better during the week - low carb, no sugar, healthy with loads of veg. Then come the weekend and a few drinks and it all goes to pot. I should not have bought butteries on Saturday, but they're bloody delicious. For those who have never encountered a buttery, it's Aberdeenshire's breakfast pastry - lard, flour, salt - very dense. Best hangover cure ever.

I have started a new weights programme (Caroline Girvan on YouTube) and I've done 5 days spread over the last 9, which is not at all bad. It's at least 6 months since I've done any sort of weights - I used to do BodyPump but my instructor gave up so the classes stopped and I didn't find anything else.

I think between the better food and the exercise it will work, I just have to stop ruining it at weekends. The kids' activities are messing with my eating window, though - when I did this before I was eating between 12 and 7, but 4 days out of 7 either the kids are out until 7.30/8 or I am. On Mondays I don't get home for dinner until 9.15. I'm hoping that if I stick to 2 meals (or 2 meals plus one small low-carb snack on Mondays) it won't matter when I eat.

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar story of my life! It’s though at weekends. I think ooosing weight over a weekend is really difficult but I’ve recently not been havin such huge gains as I’m being more mindful so hoping that eventually the general trend is down

fyi thanks @hollyblueivy i still feel so annoyed at myself I’m not at 10.3 I could have done it by now. Been 2.5 weeks ago I was 10.5 and I think a pound a week off is reasonable. But instead I’m a pound heavier!!! Ffs!!! I did have a few days away and a big meal but still. bH coming and we going away. My routine will be ruined and I’m expecting a gain then (though not by much as is self catering and keeping up with my excercise)

Hope everyone is back on it. Weekend, break in routine basically anything fun ruins a good streak doesn’t it. It’s hard. My big test is next week.

9.9 again. Run done. Felt rubbish yesterday, just a bit meh. Managed to stay on it. Feels like a long week ahead. Staying positive and keeping busy! See if I can get to 9.8!

10:13:2 Increase on yesterday

The day went mostly to plan but I definitely had too many carbs.

Two slices of toast with beans at lunch and then a roll with dinner and sweet potatoes.

Plenty water though and an hour at the gym. Only trained arms though so felt like a light session.

No sweet treats.

I'm feeling ok about it even though the scales have gone up as I am mostly doing the right thing, i can keep going for the next few days. Will try again today though to keep carbs low.

im 10.5.5 today. Chasing that 10.5! Will decide about weighing tmrw

have another low cal low carb day planned. Fingers crossed I stick to it as home with 2 kids today one of which is in terrible twos!

Foolishly weighed today at 10s11 but I'll be carrying all the carbs I inhaled yesterday!

I have a 7 week countdown and thinking 7lbs is doable...

I need to track what I am eating though so fasting and calorie counting ahead for me

for me I want to be 10.4 by sat (unlikely) and 10.3 my goal for mid June.

I want to keep up my new excercise regime of 3 times a week including resistance training

Once I hit 10.3 I want to look at my macros and up
my fibre as it’s hard to get the 30g recommend whilst doing lowish carb

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar those videos u do can u recommend a good starting one?

@Smartmove, I found them via a thread on here - they’re called Caroline Girvan Iron series, and there are 30 videos so a proper training regime (day 1 leg day, day 2 chest, day 3 glutes sort of thing). They’re 30 mins each which is perfect for me. You do need more than one pair of dumbbells, though. I’m using DH’s adjustable weights and am going much lighter than she does - she uses 20kg for some moves! And she uses resistance bands - I ordered some for £7.99 on Amazon. I’m aiming for 3-4 workouts a week, plus dog walking, plus 2 trampoline classes.

Back up to 11.13.8 today - lowest so far has been 11.11. That’s weekend weight plus DOMS from the weights plus eating late on Mondays, though. Fingers crossed for a nice new best weight by Friday.

Ah I feel like I’ve over eaten! 26 hour fast and felt so hungry. Usual stuff, but had some cheese and half a bagel(I never eat bagels!) and probably a few too many nuts. No doubt be higher tomorrow! Garmin says I’ve burnt 2100 calories so far today so hope I can at least maintain.

9.11!!!!!!! Half a bagel. That was all. Was so close to eating biscuits last night after the kids went to bed. Instead had water and exercised! Imagine the damage if I’d done that too.
Glad I didn’t blow everything for half a bagel! I know it’s hormonal and rubbish food won’t make me feel better. Need to keep reminding myself this!

Fast until 4 today. Really need to limit how many nuts I have and no cheese! Feel like it’s going to be a hard couple of days.

@Bubbles44 im sorry it’s so rude isn’t it!!!! But it’s water from the carbs and will be off in a day or two. But it’s so depressing. The scales mean a lot less than we all obsess over tbh-u haven’t gained weight but u just want that 9.8 on scale…..

im 10.5 finally . Do we think I can get to 10.4 on sat am when I leave ? Would love that. Have 3 days…..

@Bubbles44 It's annoying isn't it that half a bagel has that effect on the scales yet to get the scales to go the other way it just takes so much more effort! Hope it drops off again quickly.

I'm 10:13:00 today. Feel like I deserve to be lighter but as I'm not counting calories I wonder if I must not be in a deficit. I just really hate counting calories!!

I am going to do a clean fast tomorrow. So when I stop eating today at 7pm, I won't eat again until tomorrow about 4pm so aiming for a 21 hour fast - longer if I can start fast earlier and finish later but will see how logistics and hunger go.

So to clarify for a clean fast during those hours what can I actually have? Just black tea or coffee and water? I may not get the exercise in tomorrow but will try for at least a walk.

Food today
Watermelon
Omelette with salad
Chicken and potatoes with veg
Coffee / water
Going for my third workout of the week

Stick with it ladies we got this

@Smartmove well done for getting to 10:5:00 you have a great discipline going at the moment. Any tips to share on how you're doing it?!

Thanks for taking the pressure off what the scales say, think I needed to hear that. It's strange because when I look at my body, I like the shape of it, but that number on the scale stops me feeling as content with it. I really do need to work on weighing less. Maybe even just starting at every other day and work up from there.

Bad day here, broke fast before work and I’ve since had some biscuits and chocolate.So hard to be strong on this part of my cycle. About 4 weeks since this last happened. So predictable. I guess I need to prepare better for it. Anyways, I’ll try to stick on it the rest of the day. Will report later. I know for sure I won’t be weighing for a few days! A week until holiday.

why are u even trying. Then u think u are failing. Just roll with it

you have done great and your already slim and prob lean coz u excercise. Accept a few pounds up and once af comes u can get back on it.

@hollyblueivy i agree with @Bubbles44 tbh. If u are happy with what you see your at a weight your happy with. Maybe cruise and maintain and see if your feelings change?

im not being that on it I don’t think?? Im back to where I was 2 weeks ago!!! But I have found last few months these changes have helped
1- upping overall calories so I don’t have a huge binge. I tend to find 1200 allows a bit of a treat and think that’s helping so my weekends are not huge gains like used to be. (Except weekends away of course!)
2-really thinking about it when I want something to eat. Talking to myself and telling myself I don’t it’s habit / boredom and thinking about this thread and how well everyone doing and so can I!

I also have a lot of plans in June and July - trips and meals and a Big holiday so I really want to be 10.3 asap so I can just maintain and cruise those months then re look in August see I want to loose anymore or I’m happy where I am. Ow if I don’t I’ll be huge end of the those months. I want to enjoy all the social stuff but also not gain lots ;I think a small gain will sadly be inevitable!

i dont know when to stop though! I’m hoping 10.3 is it for me!

Yeah it’s so hard. Just need the comfort food and always get that feeling of not being able to get full. Black coffee doesn’t cut it. I think I need to plan better next month. Just going to forget about today now. Back into a long fast. The sugar has made me feel a bit rubbish.

This time of year is hard. Like you say @Smartmove , so many plans and breaks. And then all of the kids holidays. Looking back I always do well September to Christmas. I think after the long hols it’s nice getting back into routine. Not sure how much lower I can get. Would just like to stay consistently in the 9’s even after weekends/holidays etc.

@hollyblueivy are you going for the long clean fast? Really hope it goes well for you!

Yes I'm going for the clean fast.

Just going to have some raspberries and Greek yogurt and will close by 7:30pm.

So aim is 7:30pm - 4:30pm - 21 Hours

Will have black coffee in the morning and maybe another during the day and aside from that will just have water. Obviously no milk or sugar.

Today has been broadly on plan.
