2 lbs down after 3 days, bit surprised as I have been drinking wine every evening. 11stone exactly, excited to see a 10 something.

I had a funny day yesterday, running errands for other people. Impulsively bought myself a grab bag of crisps. Crisps and bread are my downfall. Had a few and chucked them, can’t believe I used to eat 2 or 3 bags easily, didn’t enjoy them and no way could I eat that many. Maybe they are losing their hold over me? I don’t have them at home as I eat them all, luckily the kids aren’t bothered about crisps.

Lunch is a plate of tomato, feta and rocket. Dinner is chicken thighs (marinated in mustard and honey) with peas, spinach and a couple of small jersey potatoes.

H1Drangea enjoy your evening out in the world, one meal off plan is fine. Just eat lots of salad tomorrow if you can.

How is everyone doing? Don’t be going crazy because it’s Friday Grin.

H1Drangea · 17/07/2021 08:21

Had a lovely evening out , gammon and pineapple , dauphinoise potatoes and mango chutney on the side , a rhubarb GnT and a ( few ) Sauvignon Blancs , the weather was glorious and we sat out in the beer garden til late

It’s a mile walk there and back , so at least we got a few steps in !

Back to reality today , I think we’re having a bbq tonight , but we have lots of courgettes and lettuce in the green house , so I’ll make some nice green sides ✅

MercedesBenz · 17/07/2021 10:18

@H1Drangea
Sounds lovely , sometimes we just need a day ‘off ‘

I am still up a pound down a pound , so essentially maintaining , but hand on heart I am not being strict , somehow it’s easier at work than the weekends
(Obvious observation alert lol)

Enjoy the weekend everyone
And please post , whether ur doing great , ok or meh

X

It's too darn hot! Ds2 just looked at me and said "You look damp"!. On the plus side he didn't say moist.

It's all going well here, still sticking to it totally and still getting 10k steps a day. Today has been difficult on that front though.

Last week we made the quinoa, nut and red pepper loaf which was gorgeous but needs more egg. We had crumbs rather than loaf!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend

Top tip. Do not get so engrossed in a Fast 800 recipe book that you don’t notice that your Tum has turned the hob on. Your book will start smouldering and you will burn your fingers on the hot plastic! Can I interest anyone in a scorched Copy of fast 800 and a beetroot brownie?

Kayemm · 18/07/2021 20:30

@vestastilly GrinGrinGrin

MercedesBenz · 18/07/2021 20:47

@vestastilly
Yes you could interest me until the brownie 😉

Missedopportunity · 18/07/2021 21:25

I've recently found out I'm diabetic so started this diet to lose 15kg / 33lbs. Started on 4th July.
Size 18
Waist 46”
SW. 14st 12lbs
CW. 13st 13.5lbs (Loss of 12.5lbs)
TW 12st 7lbs (intermediate target)
TW. 10st 5lbs (long term target)

It came off easier initially but has stalled the last three or four days but I've just got to ignore that and keep on going. Got into my size 16 crops and they no longer roll down if I bend over. Hoorah!

MercedesBenz · 18/07/2021 21:46

@Missedopportunity
Well done ! That’s a great loss

isn’t it great when you can get into something that was previously too small ?

Already got the Fast 800 recipe book, thanks. I'm intrigued by the beetroot brownies though, so, yes please.

I made the Frittata muffins this morning whilst the house was cool. I had one with my breakfast of smoked salmon.

I had two with a large salad at lunchtime.

My husband had a couple too.

I just altered the ingredients as I can't really face asparagus and peas at breakfast time. So, I put mushrooms, tomato and a ham in, instead.

Lovely.

Missedopportunity · 19/07/2021 00:21

@MercedesBenz. The absolute best. Thank you for the praise. I haven't really told people in real life and its too early yet for anyone to notice. This thread is just the nicest. So much support and encouragement. Thank you. 😊

JaquelineBean · 19/07/2021 06:50

Right. Back from holidays. Back on it.

weknowfrogsgotralalalala · 19/07/2021 08:12

Hi all can I join?

My weight is highest it's ever been and feel like I need to act fast to get down into a healthy range and I've been very inspired by the thread.

I'll start properly in a week as it's my birthday this week and I know my husband has things planned.

I followed the plan as much as I could last week and I'm down 6 lbs, so hoping this week if I do as many meals on plan and make sensible choices with the rest then I might lose a little more before I start properly.

H1Drangea · 19/07/2021 08:20

@Missedopportunity Great start ! You must be so pleased
@vestastilly , I did a similar thing , but luckily only managed to toast my Tesco shopping bag

Stayed the same this week , which is more than I deserve

I think the saving grace was the heat , and I just didn’t feel hungry
Had some lovely salads , and a treat dinner of duck breast last night
On the patio table ! In Wales ! Who’d have thought

Planning the weeks menu 👍and will go to the supermarket later

H1Drangea · 19/07/2021 08:23

Hi @weknowfrogsgotralalalala well done on the loss , that’s a good start

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 19/07/2021 08:35

Vestastilly, that made me laugh Grin

I'm dropping by to wish everyone good luck going forward. I've reached my target of losing a stone in six weeks, so I'm going to keep up the good habits that I've acquired on the Fast 800 and maintain this weight. I feel really well on it and I'm very glad to have done it.

Thank you all for the company, the laughs and the support these past few weeks. You're a lovely bunch. Stay well Smile

weknowfrogsgotralalalala · 19/07/2021 08:44

Thanks @H1Drangea - certainly makes it feel achievable in a way weight loss never has done before! I've done Joe Wicks before and whilst I got stronger and built muscle I never 'lost' weight and moved into a healthy BMI.

LotsOfTrees · 19/07/2021 09:29

Congratulations @Missedopportunity - great loss already!
Good to catch up with how everyone is doing this morning. Hope you have a good week @MercedesBenz Good luck as you get started again @JaquelineBean

Kayemm · 20/07/2021 08:47

Hi @JaquelineBean

So weigh in day for me...

Week 1 - 1.4 lb
Week 2 - 3.8 lb
Week 3 - 3.8 lb

So 9 lb in total.

While I'm actually quite happy with this and on my way to my target of 20lb in the 8 weeks before my holiday which will make me overweight rather than obese i appreciate that it's quite slow compared to some.

I've decided that I blame my fat cells, while some of you (I'm looking at you @Missedopportunity and you @Weknowfrogsgotralalalala ) obviously have fat cells that are good time gals, off out at the first opportunity with their sparkly eyeshadow to dance round their handbags, mine are more of a stay at home with their knitting and a nice cup of hot chocolate type of fat cell.

You can get them out there but it just takes an awful lot more effort!

Kayemm · 20/07/2021 08:52

Also would anyone who has the full set of recipe books be so kind as to look if there's anything to do with a cauliflower that isn't a curry but is vegetarian?

I bought one to do it roasted with dahl but am not going down that road at the moment.

Thanks

weknowfrogsgotralalalala · 20/07/2021 09:11

@Kayemm love the idea of my fat cells as party animals off at the first chance. Alas I expect this is a honeymoon phase and they'll soon be back to their usual ways!

Only cauliflower recipes are sides - cauliflower rice, mash or roasted. They're in the blue one. I can take a photo and upload if you'd like?

H1Drangea · 20/07/2021 09:20

@Kayemm
I haven’t tried this , and it’s not blood sugar diet … but

I really like the idea of this !
Coronation cauliflower

Kayemm · 20/07/2021 09:49

Thanks both but I needed a main and hard boiled eggs are spawn of the devil. Grin

Looking outside of Fast 800/blood sugar I may adapt this.

H1Drangea · 20/07/2021 11:47

I’ve made that ( when I did Bootcamp )
It’s good

vestastilly · 20/07/2021 18:12

It’s so hot! Supposed to be making miso aubergine tonight but not really wanting to cook tonight
