Day 3 finished. No real hunger pangs so far. I planned avocado on a slice of seeded bread for lunch but when I opened it it was not good. Managed to get 25 g out of it so had some almonds too.

@movealongmovealong that's fantastic Smile

I'm fine at home, especially if dh joins me in not drinking but can't cope with going out. There's talk of a lunch out with work colleagues and I'm already thinking of excuses. The veggie option is never healthy!

Dh made this for dinner. It was delish.

My 12 week weigh in today and I have...

Lost 3 stone! (43lbs)
Lost nearly 20% of my original weight.
Lost 5 inches from my waist
Lost 5 inches from my hips.
Gone from a BMI of 34.2 to 27.7
Gone from size 20/22 to size 14/16.

Another 14-20lbs to go...!

MercedesBenz · 02/07/2021 07:44

@LotsOfTrees !!!
Wow , what a great loss !
I hope you feel fabulous , well done !!
X

tinselandlights · 02/07/2021 07:53

Incredible @LotsOfTrees!!! Well done! How do you feel?

I'm also done today having had a couple of shaky moments during the last couple of weeks!!

Starting weight: 11.4
Current weight 10.0.5
Total weight lost: 16lbs, 11% of body weight
I've also started personal training on 1 June which has stalled my weight loss completely but is changing my shape noticeably!

I'm going to start 5:2 on Monday and have roped DH in too which could work brilliantly as we've never ever dieted together! We are going to have our fast days on Mondays and Wednesdays and I'm aiming to get where I want to be shape wise by Christmas.

Well done to you both Tinsel and LotsofTrees!!
Delighted for you both!!

MaudesMum · 02/07/2021 08:31

Congratulations - @LotsOfTrees and @tinselandlights !!

I'm a stone down in 7 weeks, which I'm pretty happy about. BUT I did get there after about 5 weeks and then had a couple of social events so have basically been going slightly up and then slightly down ever since. I have 3 weeks before I'm off on holiday, so now need to buckle down, and - ideally - lose another half a stone by then. Your results are definitely going to inspire me!

LotsOfTrees · 02/07/2021 08:35

Well done @tinselandlights. Thanks everyone and good luck as we all continue to lose. I feel so much better 12 weeks in!

Fantastic achievement. My DH is hoping to lose three stone. He's one stone down at the end of a month. It seems to have stalled, but hopefully will pick up again.
headintheproverbial · 02/07/2021 09:08

@LotsOfTrees - that's amazing. Well done!

I had a mini milestone myself today which is dropping below the dreaded 13 stone mark for this first time since March 2020! So about half a stone in a week. I've another stone to go before I'm really happy tho reckon loss will slow down a bit now.

Interested to hear what happens when stopping fast 800 and moving to 5:2 on the 800 model. I'd be happy for weight loss to slow but don't want it to stop!!

annabell22 · 02/07/2021 11:52

Well done @Tinselandlights and @LotsOfTrees amazing results!

I am only one week in but now at my lowest weight this year. We go on holiday next Friday so it's just a two week blast for me at the moment.

Kayemm · 02/07/2021 17:31

Those are really good results @tinselandlights and @lotsoftrees, you must be so proud of yourselves.

Are you staying on here or leaving?

@lotsoftrees you seemed to ahve been a similar size to me when you started can I ask how much exercise you have done and what type? Thanks

First Friday night in forever where I'm not opening the gin Sad

LotsOfTrees · 02/07/2021 19:15

Thanks @Kayemm, I’m planning on staying on here at least while I’m still losing weight. I’m moving on to the new 5:2 which is still part of the Fast 800 plan. I’ve been on diets for me and I’m hoping keeping going with the principles and being on the 5:2 will help me continue to lose and maintain. Being here is a good reminder that the change in lifestyle continues... I’m on holiday now and have gone a bit overboard today already!

I haven’t really done much extra by way of exercise apart from a little extra walking but really not much. I didn’t have much energy for exercise in the early stages of the 12 weeks on such low calories. I’m planning on doing more now - more walking on holiday and when I’m back starting Couch 2 5K probably and / or something like 30 Day Shred.

LotsOfTrees · 02/07/2021 19:20

Good luck to your husband @IsFuzzyBeagMise! I’m amazed at how much it was possible to lose in just three months and what a difference it makes.
Great loss already @headintheproverbial. I’ll try and feedback on what happens next but it’ll be a bit skewed over the next few weeks because I’m on holiday and so will be a bit more relaxed.
Well done @MaudesMum!

Thank you LotsofTrees. He's looking slimmer already. He's doing well. Did you ever have a point where you felt it had stalled?
ToffeeNotCoffee · 02/07/2021 20:29

I had a chat with a doctor before starting the diet proper - as advised. He said that I should make an appointment with the nurse after the first week on the diet just to keep a check on how I'm doing.

(I'm significantly over weight and on blood pressure meds)

The Dr said it was ok to drop carbohydrate from my diet.

B - Smoked salmon
L- Garlic and herb Stuffed mushrooms p. 200 (I ate both portions because one portion wasn't enough) with a green salad.
D - Breadcrumb chicken (I scraped the crumbs off on my plate) oven chips (it's Friday) peas, tomato, pickled onion. A little bit of ketchup.

LotsOfTrees · 02/07/2021 21:07

Yes @IsFuzzyBeagMise - I weigh myself daily and at first my weight dropped daily. That then slowed down and there were patches where the scales didn’t move for nearly a week which was frustrating, though I did lose something each week, even if just a tiny bit. The stretches with no movement were hard but I did also have a week with a whoosh near the end so it was worth sticking with right to the end of the 12 weeks for me. Do also take measurements of your waist/hips if you’re not already!

Saturday is usually home made pizza and wine in the H1Drangea home , tonight is going to be a bit different
We’re planning on the turkey burgers with red coleslaw , amd sparkling water 💧
Any suggestions for other good side dishes ?

H1Drangea · 03/07/2021 08:34

@LotsOfTrees such good results !
You must be so proud of yourself 💐
@headintheproverbial into the 12s 💐
@MaudesMum , I’m hoping to lose about a stone , good to hear it can be done in a relatively short time , but not too much a crash
My DH is waiting to lose weight too @IsFuzzyBeagMise , but he can’t quite give up potatoes or bread , I bet he loses more than me , the git !

Hi H1Drangea!
Yes, my DH loves bread more than potatoes, but he has given both up. He thinks he should lose three stone altogether, but two might be enough. It's the first time in a while that he might stick to it and lose a decent amount of weight. Fingers crossed.

MercedesBenz · 03/07/2021 10:01

Lost a little more , so 9lb in4 weeks .. I haven’t been super strict so could prob do ‘ better ‘ but happy that the scales are going down ,
Funny how fast it becomes a normal to eat at 12 noon each day , we are away this weekend and I am struggling to eat a breakfast . Back to ithe plan tomorrow. I much prefer 16:8 way of eating , breakfast makes me feel sluggish
Happy Saturday everyone

Kayemm · 03/07/2021 10:29

I'm a daily weigher and today have tipped into the 13's. Grin Two and a half pounds in four days which I know is slower than a lot but it's in the right direction.

I've never exceeded 800 and hit 10k on the steps every day, so hopefully will continue on the downward trend.

We made falafel and roasted harissa veg from the book last night. The veg were lovely, added an aubergine for not many more calories but I over processed the falafel.

Have a good weekend everyone Smile

ToffeeNotCoffee · 03/07/2021 12:11

@Kayemm

Glad you made the recipe. I'm going to have a go at it. Or chicken out and buy shop bought falafel.

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 03/07/2021 12:25

I made the same recipe this week (falafel) it was very tasty. I think I'll make slightly more next time though using two tins of chickpeas.
