MyOtherDog Grin They are fab aren't they? I plan to do them at least once a week with different variations depending on what is in the fridge. I always have loads of eggs from my faithful chooks and ducks. I need to buy a really good muffin tin as mine sticks badly. I've been told the wobbly silicone ones are good. I haven't had the dilemma of having too many to eat yet because they get hoovered up by boys Smile

I'm still amazed that I'm not really hungry. I fear it is the evangelical novelty of a new WOE and I will fall off the waggon soon but I'm happy for now Halo

just I'm glad you mentioned that your muffin tin sticks. I thought I had done something wrong! In fact, I was going to come on to ask if anyone had any suggestions for un-sticking muffins before I made them again. Wobbly silicone tins sound like a good idea

I've got the silicone muffin tin and it sticks too Sad. I made ham and egg and cheese muffins. I don't like cauliflower which is a bit of a disaster on this diet, isn't it.

I also made them and they stuck! Maybe paper cases? Thanks scandi maybe I will give silicon tray a miss then.

I'm sad to hear the silicone tins stick too. Sad

Oooh yumyum they look fab! I tried paper cases but they stuck as well Grin It was nice nibbling bits off the cases though.

I'm going to make it my mission to find a suitable muffin tin, these things are too tasty to fail at Grin

I use a nice non stick tin and they work but if I use my old sandwich/sponge tin it leaves eggy residue all over it and has to be scrubbed off. I've not tried flexi silicone ones though. Paper cases don't work because there's not enough fat in the recipe and it sort of bonds with the paper ime

My plans fell flat- I ate the sandwiches!!! They were nice. I then ate my salad for tea, so not entirely wasted day. Dh returned home after a long crappy day and he brought wine. So obviously, I've had a glass of wine......

Ho hum. Let's try again tomorrow!

I like that, between us, we have tried every obvious way to cook them: metal tins; sillicone tins; paper cases. Special Star for the first person who discovers a way that doesn't stick Grin

The other thing you can do with the muffins is line each muffin hole with a slice of ham, then put the egg mixture in. Very tasty and non-stick too!

After a few good days I finally am seeing some movement, and was 2lb down today, 3 for the week so far. But it's Friday so I need to be very careful with the weekend so I finish the week down.

Going very slowly for me - think I am not following the rules strictly enough and really counting my calories/carbs. I wish I could figure out how to use MyFitnessPal properly as I think it would be a godsend!

Well done dogs

Toast (well a leftover crust from dc which is worse) has been consumed here today too, and I am on a 500 day (not on bsd at mo)

Good idea re ham New

Myotherdog keep practicing with MFP you will get the hang of it and the more you use it the quicker it is. do you have an android app, using it on my phone is so much easier. I have just got in from lidl and scanned the barcodes of my shopping before putting things away (I added items on an uncompleted day from last week) then worked out my meals for the day using the recent tab and multiadd functions . Which bits are you having trouble with? Some things you can do on android version:
Copy meals to other days
Barcode scan
use recent and frequent list and select multi add then tick all the items you want added to meals
see weekly cals, macros, nutrition in pie charts
manually adjust cals, macros

Weighed in this morning and I'm now a total of 6lb down after 11 days- so very happy with that😀 I do have a family party tomorrow, so there will be lots of temptations and wine. I just remember that it's one meal in a whole week and keep my head on the plan for the rest of the weekend.

I've Got nice steaks and asparagus for dinner tonight so that's sorted. Having s busy day today getting housework done so hopefully that will keep me out of the fridge as well!

Well done you guys!

It's the end of Week 3 and I just weighed myself - I've lost 8 pounds, which makes it a total of 27 pounds overall (I was just trying to eat healthily and move more before getting it together to do BSD.)

I'm so pleased. Although worried because I'm now down to one pair of jeans - the rest are stupidly big and literally hang off me. If only I had the money to replace them all!

Thanks yumyum - I have sat down with a nice cuppa and really had a look at it and think I am making some (slow) progress. It seems easier on my browser and my phone - my tablet less so. I think I hadn't grasped some of the basic principles.
While I am here can anyone remind me of the ratio of carbs/fat/protein that I read about in a previous thread.
Sun is shining here and I am losing weight.

Just been discussing this on a Facebook group- I think it's 50% fat, 30 ish protein and 20 carbs. It seems like a lot of fat but to achieve 400 cals of fat you need to eat 45g a day (in yogurt, oil, meat, fish, eggs etc) so it all adds up. 20% carbs would equate to about 40g so maybe a little more would be OK?
I usually just aim to see a big chunk of fat on my pie chart!

Evening all!

Weighed in at end of first week. 12lb lost. Honestly cant believe it! Knew my jeans were looser so was expecting around half a stone.

I'm very aware that this is not likely to be a regular amount to lose but a very motivating start.

Totally chuffed! Smile
