4lb is awesome! Is that your first week?

I've weighed in this morning, so that's W2D3 and I'm 12.3.5 (started at 12.9, so that's 5.5lb down). Pleased as that's a few grams off and I had a lot of food yesterday! I must drink more water today, so I've filled my bottle to get me through the day.

Going out today with dm for some lunch and a mooch round a nice outlet village so I cannot be held responsible for my cake consumption or bank balance today- perhaps should try on clothes before lunch so I choose salad instead!

I'm sure I've shared this before, but here's 5lb of fat.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

bear that photo is both disgusting and amazing. It makes me think I should aim to lose another 4lbs as that looks about the size of my tummy fat Grin
Enjoy your shopping. At least you'll be getting in lots of steps to balance the cake.
I've woken up with a sore throat so I think today is going to involve lots of drinks and mini ice lollies assuming DS hasn't already eaten them all .

Myotherdog well done on 4lbs loss. Also you might find you lose the same overall as other people who lose 10lbs in a week then slow down to a 1lb or so weekly loss?

phenomenal aplace - I think you have said your loss before in lbs but 13.3 to 10.7 sounds extra impressive! Star

Enjoy your shopping trip new.

Well done on the 4lbs Dog.
Bear that photo is gross. Is it a bit weird that I really like it?

Oh yes, this is thread 6, not 7, sorry.
Right, I really must get my act together!! I love reading all your stories: Couch, Bear, Yum, Scandi etc. = motivating.

Scandi is my body twin. She and I are the same height and I think we started at the same weight. She's now on Maintenance, WOE, but I still have another stone to lose before I get down to target, and then maintenance.

I first did the 8 week plan, (not super strict, but I stuck to it quite a bit) on News years day, 2016, so I've been here for over a year and a quarter!! I did lose 1 and 3/4 stone from 11:7 down to 10 stone, on the initial 8 week programme. But. over a year on, I now back to 10:4 and I should be 9:5.

But I persevere. And like Bear, I hope you don't mind me still being here, with my witterings, stuggling.

Hi all

I've not been here in ages, but in the last week or so I've been quite stuck. Last week (week 5) I stayed the same, which was probaly fair enough, as the weekend was tricky. I'm feeling good this week and have lost a little, but I'm waiting for Monday to see if I can sustain it over the weekend. So far I'm about 18lbs down, so a couple a week for the last few weeks would be great.

APlaceOnTheCouch · 08/03/2017 10:00

dogday 18lbs is fab - well done!
My weight loss stalled at week 5. No idea why but it seems to be a common stalling point. I did lose inches even when I wasn't losing weight so you may be doing that too. The weight losses will start again in Week 6 or 7.

Oblomov keep going I always enjoy reading your posts and seeing your food pics. You are still over a stone lighter than when you started this no mean feat given that a depressing 90% of dieters regain super slimmers tv show

yumyumpoppycat · 08/03/2017 10:22

Actually dogs I think there is a theory that when you reach a certain % lost it is normal to plateau for a while, 18lbs is a lot to lose in 5 weeks well done! Think I sts at week 5 then carried on losing.

Hello all. New thread Smile

Oblomov - hadn't realised we were twins Grin. I'm not quite at maintenance yet, I've still got another stone to lose I think. Or at least another 9 pounds.

Hope everyone is having a good day. I've done yoga and about to walk the dog, so I'm having an active day. Healthy dinner of fish planned too after a couple of days were the calories crept up a bit. But I saw a couple of people this morning I hadn't seen for a while and they said some really lovely things about both me and DH. So that was encouraging.

Dog - my weight loss seemed to slow a bit around week 5/6. I lost the least in week 6 but then for the last two weeks it picked up again.

Oooh check out this little beauty. Smells divine. Cooked as a diversion from gracing from the fridge, except now I want to eat it all.

bear it looks amazing. What is it?
We had Korean beef tonight. Wednesdays are always busy as DS has a class so I always opt for quick meals.

It's aubergine pizza bake- 2 aubergines sliced, roast in the oven til cooked, then top with a tin of tomatoes, some rolled up slices of salami, some basil/herbs, mozzarella and cheddar cheese then bake it again til the cheese bubbles.

I'm not going to wait til dh gets home- I'm having mine now!!

Small dilemma tomorrow- going to a friend's for a play date with another girl, we all went to school together and now have similar aged babies. We do a sort of communal lunch thing usually, so 2 bring savoury stuff and one brings sweet and we all share. So obviously it's sausage rolls, sandwiches, cake etc. Is it terribly rude to take my 'donation' for the communal lunch, but also to take my own salad or similar? I just have had two days where I've gone over on calories, but I have stayed in allowed foods, so I could really do with a good day on plan. Not sure if it seems weird/rude to take my own just for me when we usually share, but then they aren't going to want my Tuna salad are they anyway?

Wow Bear that looks yummy. Very jealous. Two underwhelming meals here and I've accidentally ended up at only 670 calories for the day. I'm still hungry and don't have anything sensible left I can eat.

Report
thenewaveragebear1983 · 08/03/2017 19:36

Mine feel underwhelming too Scandi -my aubergines did not live up to their promises.

I've had two days of grazing- I'm not even going to work out the calories because I know it will be a lot, but it was all 'allowed food'. I've got that horrible too full feeling ** but still want something to hit the spot. Maybe this is 'carb flu' that people talk about?

I'm going to take my salad box tomorrow. It might be rude, but I don't care. If I eat sandwiches l, much as at the time I would like to, I will regret it because I have no off switch. So I mustn't tempt myself. I shall take my delicious box of leaves and think about how thin I shall be on holiday this year. HaloI will still contribute to their lunch and ds will happily wolf down a few sarnies so it's not too rude. Decision made. Conscience clear. Considering I managed all day with dm and didn't succumb to cake, I don't want to spoil it now.

I'm struggling tonight- feel grouchy, wanty and very deprived. Woe is me. I'm going to have a hot bath and get to bed early.

Btw, Someone on the Facebook group I'm on said they had tried to order MM's book and had found an article saying that a new book was coming out in April with a ten week plan??? Then went mysteriously quiet when I asked her to link the article. I've gone every possible configuration of wording on google and found nothing. Nada. So keep your ears to the ground people.....(secretly smug that my spidey senses might have been right!!)

I wouldn't definitely take the salad box, Bear. Some times it's just really more motivating to stay on plan.

I have gone over today but am giving myself a pass as restricted it to an after dinner peanut snack, and after three days of feeling poorly I think I really needed the extra calories. Still very tired and planning a pre 8.30pm bedtime!!

Morning all. Into week 2 here. Depressingly have stuck on 11st11 for the past 4 days, which is 6lb down from starting weight (hooray!) but a bit fed up with plateauing. Happy tales of plateaus followed by cliff edges very welcome Smile

Bear another vote for taking the salad. If I was your friend I wouldn't mind at all - would just admire your resolve and wonder guiltily whether I should be doing the same Smile

Enjoy your day out today!

I was miraculously 0.8 of a pound down today. My calories have been a bit higher this week, so that's quite gratifying. No food planned yet today, but I do feel really hungry/empty. Really wish I could have some bread. Bear - salad sounds wise, if I was faced with sandwiches today I think it would be a disaster.

Justonemore - just made a variation on your cauliflower muffins, fantastic! Started with the basic cauliflower, onion, egg recipe and then added cumin and peppers which is all I had lying around. Biggest challenge now is not eating them all. Hmm 12 x 60 .............?? 😊😊
