55 mins pilates class
Qigong class

Should of been a morning swim as well, but when I got there they were digging up the carpark. It's all yellow lines round about. I hung around but there were just more and more cars turning up. To top it off I'll be getting an email telling me off for not turning up to a booked activity!

MummyInTheNecropolis · 06/05/2026 23:55

6km walk
Cardio workout 30 mins
3km walk
Pilates class 1 hour

22,700 steps

WearyAuldWumman · 07/05/2026 00:12

The local gym is being used as the main centre for the election count, so classes have been disrupted.

To be honest, I think that I needed today off: I think that I'm too old for what I've been doing - Sunday Body Balance, Monday Pilates, Tuesday Musical Theatre Fitness/Stretching (plus gym for Monday and Tuesday). The legs have been suffering.

I keep telling myself that the trainers are managing several classes a day at least 5 days a week, but (apart from one) they're all a lot younger than I am.

BezMills · 07/05/2026 15:42

Couple (cough) years back, at a sprightly 46, was feeling it in my legs doing 6-8 classes a week! Like constantly heavy and overtrained, but I just loved the classes.
It's definitely OK to take a wee rest or skip some stuff.
They say and I expect it's true, you don't get stronger just by training, it's the resting after the training that makes you stronger.

Alittlefrustrated · 07/05/2026 18:22

1 hr pilates at home, using ring, roller, and added some upper body body bar work. I'm hoping to do this at least 3 times a week.
46 x25m swim

Just walking today, was planning a run but had a bad nights sleep last night and then a long day of work training so didn’t feel up to it. Managed 3 x 30 min walks though (part way home from work and then to/from the shops and polling station).

18,300 steps.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 08/05/2026 19:52

6km walk to work
5km walk home (took a shortcut)!
Back and bicep workout - 35 mins
Yoga - 15 mins

23,600 steps

Alittlefrustrated · 08/05/2026 21:44

6 mile walk
91/300

WearyAuldWumman · 08/05/2026 21:59

A brief walk to and from church, which I really can't count.

Good thing: that walk used to take me much longer. I can now do it in 10 minutes each way.

Comtesse · 09/05/2026 10:33

This week has been a bit disorganised so have been doing 20 mins of yoga and stretching before bed. Not challenging but it’s nice to wind down and keeps the streak alive (428).

FurForksSake · 09/05/2026 20:02

Hilly walk and the allotment.

Hello All, please can I join in?
Have built a regular, if sometimes too comfortable, daily exercise practice, but want to stay accountable too, and make sure its not all yin, without enough yang!
Off to read through, after bedtime yoga with kassandra, day 10.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 09/05/2026 21:58

2.5k run (was parkrun but had to stop halfway as I fell over and cut my arm and hands quite badly 🤦‍♀️)
5k walk
Fitness fiesta class (45 mins)

FurForksSake · 09/05/2026 22:01

@Buntyforgirls welcome!

Hello @Buntyforgirls I have found that consistency is important - over time you can (and will) level up.

Sounds like a nasty accident @MummyInTheNecropolis sorry to hear that.

Yesterday 14 mins of HIIT then 20 mins of yoga for grounding. I find balance poses easier now because I have more little stabilising muscles - one of the unexpected benefits of more consistent fitness stuff.

Skybluegreen · 10/05/2026 11:00

5 strength sessions this week and also 2 walks.

One of the walks was a very slow & steady 20,000 steps around the local zoo so that was definitely my most awesome exercise of the week.

@MummyInTheNecropolis hope you are feeling ok today after that!

MummyInTheNecropolis · 10/05/2026 11:11

Thank you @Comtesseand @FurForksSake I’m feeling fine today, have just been out for another run, wanted to get straight back to it so it doesn’t put me off! No accidents today thankfully!

I do seem to have some grit still stuck in one of the cuts on my hand though which I can’t get out, I’ll try cleaning it out again later but if it’s still there tomorrow I might have to go and get it seen to which will be a pain! 🙄

WearyAuldWumman · 10/05/2026 14:17

45 minute Body Balance class. I bought myself a pair of knee pads from Amazon - that helped to an extent. Transition speed remains a problem.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 10/05/2026 20:20

6.5k run
5k walk x 2
Few games of rounders in the park with friends (1 hour)
