Good to see you back, @BezMills - was wondering how you were.
I've had to go through to Cowdenbeath to get into a BB class. They're always full at the MW.
That's only my second session. I'm finding it helluva difficult - as you suggest, the transitions are really fast (and I'm not).
I got myself a knee pad from Amazon and that's helped a bit, but...I'm in agony today and I have Pilates here at 4... Never thought I'd say it, but the Pilates is so much easier. (Mind you, it's only a basic class.)
Plus, the new floor in the Cowden studio is great for dance classes but my mat had difficulty coping yesterday. The new floor at the MM is rubberised - great for Pilates, etc but draggy for dance.
It wasn't until the second week of BB that I realised that "Shine!" was an instruction for a move...
There's actually a young girl at the class who's doing it in spite of using a crutch - like me, she's having to miss out some stuff, of course.
I've been womanfully attempting the Downward Dog, but when it then goes into "Now lift a leg...now an arm..."
God bless her, the lassie in charge of the class gave me a hug at the end yesterday.
I'm not spacing out the classes the way I should be - I'm having to go with the timetable, so I have BB on Sunday morning, Pilates 4 pm on a Monday and then Musical Theatre Fitness followed by Stretch on a Tuesday morning. I'm not sure I can keep this up. The fact that I did a full set of leg exercises on Friday is probably not helping.
I probably need those supplements that not one single one of those muscular female influencers with teeth gaps* is taking.
Yes, I can understand that if you\ve not been able to do your crossfit, it'll have a negative effect. On non-training days, I can't be bothered to leave the house sometimes.
One of the reasons for taking BB on the Sunday was to force me to leave the house...but I don't know that my knees (and thumbs - Downward Dog?) can take it. Even if I do the same as some of the women and use two mats, that won't help the thumbs - must be the strain of holding up my weight that's the problem.
Knowing what we know about you, Bez, I'd say that the early mornings would be to your benefit.
*At least Arnie admitted to it. [It was my man who explained about the tooth gap to me. Also the water blisters. He was involved in a weightlifting club in Banchory many years ago and went ballistic when he discovered that another instructor had been dispensing 'sweeties'.]
