Does anyone else follow YWA?

What video/s of hers have you done recently?

Is anyone following her February calendar?

She calms me down and cheers me up at the same time. Much needed during this bloody miserable weather we are having. Does anyone know where the sunshine has gone?

Is anyone interested in using this as an accountability thread?

I am a big fan of her (and Benji) and she does help me let go of things after a tough day.
I have a couple of favourite videos I turn to again and again.

Yes, he is adorable.

What are your favourite videos?

I've only been doing yoga since October so I'm very much a newbie. I've just been working my way through her videos and trying to experience as many different ones as possible.

Yoga for Neck and Shoulder Relief - Yoga With Adriene
This is a particular favourite as I get a lot of tension in my neck, shoulders, traps its areas.

Dramainclass · 08/02/2026 09:38

I also like the yoga for back pain. I used it when I had back pain but still like it when I feel I have been hunched at my desk too much.

CarelessWimper · 08/02/2026 21:20

I love the ones for bedtime the best but have just done the one got tired legs and it was really good.

Does anyone pay for the membership and if so is it worth it?

I've done the tired legs one too.

I'm currently working through her Center series. Lots of planks.

No idea regarding the membership sorry. I'm quite satisfied with the content on YouTube for now.

I am a fan toom have been since lockdowns. I like her bedtime ones and also post run ones she has. I just use her free stuff on YouTube. I have singed up for a few of her practice every day January when she used to send out a new video every day in January.

Boobyslims · 13/02/2026 17:11

I do her hip release one! I love it. Thanks for reminding me. She has a lovely way about her.

Yogachick · 13/02/2026 17:49

I currently have the membership but have cancelled. I feel there’s a lot of other teachers put onto the app calendar,I signed up for Adriene not randoms. The app is also having updates, which to me have made it less user friendly, though I’m aware it’s a work in progress so long term will likely be better. She doesn’t do the January 30 days anymore, which I used to love each year, feeling the progression during the month. That said I love the lack of ads( hideously distracting on YT) and some of the older FWFG exclusive series are brilliant,I love Light, Ritual,Breathing Room,Fuego and Empower. They are truly outstanding ,as well as the joy & ease of having all the 30 days easily available.
That said ,I am of an age where I have to consider broader fitness needs,so I’ve got Apple Fitness+. The yoga on there has taken a bit of getting used to but I’m enjoying it now. There’s practice lengths going from 10-45 mins, some programs, plus lots of other fitness genres,weights/ Pilates/ hiit/ kickboxing to name a few as well as great music to workout to ,if that’s your thing( it is for me) and a bargain ,less than half of FWFG price. I don’t regret FWFG app and will miss those series when my membership expires but prefer to put my limited funds elsewhere for now.
Hope that helps a bit, sorry for ramble x

She really does relax me. She has a calming voice.

Think I'll stick with YouTube for now. I'm satisfied with the content on there.

She puts out monthly calendars with an archived video suggestion per day and the entire month has a theme. This month's is 'Anchor' and it involves a lot of videos based around balance poses.

Just to add to my pp,Adriene is always the one I come back to, when I practice with her I’m calmer & a much nicer person. It’s also the one exercise I can do consistently without triggering a fibro/me episode. Thanks for your post @Owlmoonstar You’ve reminded me how much I get from my Adriene practices. I might even uncancel my membership as -YT ads . I do still need other workouts but Adriene somehow keeps my inflammation down as well. When I go for a while without an episode I imagine I’m cured and drop what actually got me there to try new shiny stuff. My body actually needs both it seems🌻

I spent months doing cardio and heavy dumbbell sessions. And I wasn't losing weight. I was bloated and exhausted.

I decided to try yoga and the transformation both physically and mentally is just crazy.

I think my previous workout plans were causing elevated cortisol levels. And doing yoga fixed it.

I've lost more weight doing yoga than when I was doing cardio/dumbbells. And my anxiety levels are the lowest they've been for years.

I still do some cardio and dumbbells as it is beneficial, but 90% of my workout schedule is yoga and I am thriving 😊

Yes, thanks for your post @Owlmoonstar I loved Adrienne yoga during lockdown and then forgot about her until now ! I have bloating too - menopause and cortisol related. You’ve inspired me to start up again but I’m very stiff with aches and pains and I will no doubt be very frustrated with my level of incompetency to start with. Did you feel noticeably more supple fairly quickly ?

Yes, my flexibility has improved far quicker than I thought!

Maybe start with some hip opener videos to loosen yourself up for a week or so before doing the flow type sequences.

Thanks @Owlmoonstar good to know you feel benefits fairly quickly - excuse my ignorance but what is a flow type sequence? I’m assuming it is all over body involvement rather than targeted areas like hips?

I just meant a typical vinyasa flow type video.

Where as there are some videos which are just lying on the ground and doing hip opening stretches.

No downward dogs, warrior pose, etc.

Just videos that are for stretching your hip flexors and based around hip mobility.

So you just do YWA @Owlmoonstar ? Everyday ? How long for? Sorry so many questions but I’m in bed with a flare ,caused very likely by the exercise I’ve been doing with such enthusiasm. I suspect I need a new path

Freysimo · 16/02/2026 08:30

Have you ever done a yoga class? I do one regularly and feel it benefits me enormously. On line tutorials are great as a top up, but can't point out if you're doing anything incorrectly, unless it's a one to one.

MissyB1 · 16/02/2026 08:36

I do Adrienne’s you tube videos. I love her upper and lower back ones (my back is my weakness). And her ham string ones too. Oh and she does a good one for core called “core and restore” I think.

Probably about 40 mins a day.

I would advise just going on her YouTube channel and having a browse and just picking whatever videos you fancy, and build from there. She does 30 day series too. Plus there is a 4 day challenge (Return) and also a 7 day series (prana)

Or, you could follow her February calender which she has created into a playlist.

I have severe social anxiety and could not go to a yoga class. Maybe in the distant future.

Out of bed & back with Adriene today. I had a look at the calendar & know I don’t have a 30 min practice in me atm so started back with Day 1 of Ritual,Grounding from the membership. It’s roughly 15 mins of yoga followed by a 5 min ‘sit’ meditation & builds on repeated asana through the 7 days, like a mini 30 days structure. I did it through Apple TV but it didn’t even register on my app,so I had to search ,add, complete to that so I can start my streak. A bit cumbersome , I’ve no doubt this is one of the work in progress bits of the app. I’m so grateful to @Owlmoonstar for getting me back here xx

Yogachick · 17/02/2026 17:20

@Owlmoonstar makes me remember why Adriene is the best. Going to continue with the rest of the series to start with some consistency. It’s definitely what my body needs right now
