Anyone want to join me?
Yes I know it’s an oldie but I did it about 15 years ago and it was really effective.
I’ve just done day one and the weights and abs stuff weren’t too bad but the cardio nearly killed me, I’m more unfit than I realised.

L2D3 complete. After a break over the weekend, I decided to go for it this afternoon and I managed to do most of it as per Anita (the second set of twisty jumps turned into boxing it out) and my heart rate was quite a bit lower than last time 😊 Lots of lower back and hip stretches now so I can do it again tomorrow.

That is such a carrot to keep going for @Disturbia81 Did you do 30 days on the trot each time or did you have some rest days throughout? I’ve missed a few days with tight hip flexors causing some pain but I do need to jump back in.

Aww I’m glad to help, I want you all to feel this good too. I definitely had days I couldn’t be arsed 🤣 or I was still too sore from the day before, maybe like 5 dotted in the month?
You are doing the right thing having rest days, it actually helps progress rather than hinders it. Also means we really go for it the next day rather than half arsed!

Gummylump · 22/07/2025 20:45

Level 2 day 6 done!

Unlikely to have time tomorrow, but it's probably best to miss a day as consecutive days of level 2 seem to kill my knees. I'm tempted to skip right on to level 3 soon...we'll see. 👀

Edited

I’m glad you had rest days too, as I’ve read that that’s when your body repairs itself by building new muscle (or that’s my simplified interpretation). I weigh myself daily and can even see a greater difference when I’ve left a day or two than when I have done every day.

IDareSay · 23/07/2025 10:49

L1D9 done.
I go on holiday in just over 3 weeks so hoping to do the whole 30 days before I go (and then have a nice lie down!)

IDareSay · 24/07/2025 10:07

L1D10 done. Still find the first cardio section really hard!

On to Level 2...

Me too. I've also done l1 day 10

Iheartmysmart · 24/07/2025 19:55

Can I join please? I’ve just done L2 day 3 and am struggling a bit with the plank exercises, mainly because I’ve got rubbish wrists, but am plodding on. No weight loss so far but have lost a few inches here and there.

Saggyoldclothbody · 25/07/2025 11:50

L2 D4 done ✔️

I think my plank exercises wouldn’t pass muster with my old Pilates teacher @Iheartmysmart and my plank jacks barely involve my feet moving more than 6 inches I’d say 😀. However, doing something is better than nothing 🙌

IDareSay · 25/07/2025 18:29

L2 D1 done. I'm pretty good with planks (no idea why, just always have been) but oh my goodness all the getting up and down!
I need to review L2 before I do it again tomorrow to make sure I'm doing everything properly.

IDareSay · 26/07/2025 11:56

I was so stiff and achey this morning (not just from L2, I did a lot of DIY yesterday too, up and down a ladder) that I almost gave myself a day off.

But I didn't, did L2 D2 and I actually feel better than I did beforehand 💪

Gummylump · 26/07/2025 19:57

I've skipped 4 days I think! Due to illness. So incredibly annoyed!

Just done level 3 day 1. We're going away at the end of the month which is why I've been cutting each level short.

Since the 1st July I've done level 1 x8 times, level 2 x6 times and now level 3 x1 time. Not the best I know.

Will hopefully be able to fit it in every day now until the end of the month.

PreetyinPurple · 26/07/2025 21:20

im still building up to doing it. I’ve lost a bit of weight and my knee isn’t giving me as many issues - I’m scared though… 😂😂😂

Happyhettie · 26/07/2025 21:39

I’m so glad I’ve found this thread! I’ve used 30DS on and off for years and it’s always given me great results and I feel so much better when I’ve done it.

Today I have started it again. I feel like I look really awful at the moment and I feel manky so I’m back on the shred again.
Level 1 day 1 ✔️
(I did half jacks though as I don’t want to hurt my knees)

No that’s still amazing! The first month I did consisted of 20 days of level 1 (I was nervous of level 2 🤣) and then just 2 days of level 2. I still had brilliant results and body changes.

FloofyBird · 27/07/2025 12:32

Level 2 day 1 done. I rested a lot but I'm still sweaty!

IDareSay · 27/07/2025 12:32

L2 D3 done. Almost halfway..!

CortadoPlease · 27/07/2025 13:28

L2 D4 done. The pendulum lunges with hammer curls has too much going on 😬

As Jillian would say "I hear ya!"

Iheartmysmart · 27/07/2025 19:36

L2 D5 done! The halfway point in each level seems to be when the exercises start to get easier for me. A yoga mat seems to be helping with the wrist pain.

Greenfingers37 · 27/07/2025 19:47

I’m starting this week. Can anyone advise on a good mat for a wooden floor? Also do you guys wear normal trainers?
Really motivating to hear how well you’re all doing! Keep it up!

I definitely need to invest in a proper mat, I’ve been improvising with allsorts..
I invested in a decent pair of trainers as they do make it easier to do the cardio stuff especially, more bouncy and protective

Well it’s been 3.5 weeks since I finished the shred and I’ve dropped another few lbs with no change to usual healthy diet, this workout really does get the stubborn fat shifting 😊
Also more changes to thighs, they’ve got really defined. C section pouch has gone in further and now I feel comfortable in high waist trousers and skirts. I’ve lost my muffin top! I’ve always had muffin top even at lower weights 🤣
Gonna see where my weight settles then do another round!
KEEP GOING EVERYONE! You’ve got this 🖤🖤🖤💪🏼💪🏼

TheHorrorsPersist · 28/07/2025 10:18

L2 D9 done 💪
Averaging 4/5 times a week so still on track to finish by the end of the summer holidays (18th August).
I have already put a reminder in my phone to do it again next summer.
”This is where it counts the most”

Iheartmysmart · 28/07/2025 11:23

I’ve just got a cheap yoga mat from Argos which seems okay. I do have a rug underneath it which probably helps. In terms of footwear though, embarrassingly its bare feet for me. I’m in a first floor flat and worry about the noise of me thumping around in trainers. My neighbour is the type to complain about any tiny sound.

No real change in weight but my shape seems to be changing.

What does everyone plan on doing after the 30 days? I wasn’t sure to start again with slightly higher weights or to move on to something else. Have to admit that only committing to 20 minutes a day and getting good results really appeals to me.
