Anyone want to join me?
Yes I know it’s an oldie but I did it about 15 years ago and it was really effective.
I’ve just done day one and the weights and abs stuff weren’t too bad but the cardio nearly killed me, I’m more unfit than I realised.

L2D5 done ✔️

Had a break from Jillian over the weekend and gave Caroline Girvan’s Kettlebell workout a whirl as my back is playing up (I think it’s my hip flexors causing problems so didn’t want to exacerbate too much but still wanted to do something). I’m now eyeing up heavier kettlebells 👀

DP was floating around on Friday for the last 10 mins of me Dong doing level 2 and said over the weekend “You’re really exercising aren’t you”. Given my favourite position is sitting on the sofa with my legs up, this is a massive shift for me 😊

IDareSay · 28/07/2025 11:48

L2 D4 done.

I am on holiday once I finish the 30 days but plan on doing it again when I come back, with slightly heavier weights I think @Iheartmysmart

It's astonishingly effective in such a short time so thanks to the OP @TheBang for reminding me of its existence!

Iheartmysmart · 28/07/2025 11:55

Those are my thoughts @IDareSay The results for such a short exercise session are amazing so I’d like to keep going after the 30 days. Might take a week off in between with the hope that I’ll get a sudden ‘whoosh’ of weight loss!

Happyhettie · 29/07/2025 08:53

Level 1 day 2 completed. I should actually be on day 4 but I missed 2 days. No excuse really, I’m just a bit rubbish at looking after myself and work got in the way (both reasons as to why I am fat).

IDareSay · 29/07/2025 09:52

L2 D5 done.
Cannot believe I am halfway through and have actually stuck to it!

I think it's better to manage every few days than burn out or give up if it's too much to manage every day :)

CortadoPlease · 29/07/2025 16:54

L2D6 done and I’m definitely finding the L2 cardio easier day by day and can see a difference around my middle 🙌

I’m finding the shared toil of this thread quietly motivating 😊

Thanks @FloofyBird (love the name!)
I am going to try and do it first thing in the morning so it’s done.

Iheartmysmart · 29/07/2025 19:27

L2 D7 done and it’s definitely getting easier. I’m out for the next couple of days so won’t have time to exercise but aim to finish L2 on Sunday.

Gummylump · 29/07/2025 21:03

Level 3 day 4 done. Feeling good!

If I had eaten better this month, I would've seen some really great results. Can definitely see some changes anyway though.

3 more days then I'm away so will finish up then. 🙂 what's everyone else doing after? Are there any other similar programmes? I may just do it again like someone else mentioned they would.

Last time I did it, I moved on to Ripped in 30 which was good.

PreetyinPurple · 30/07/2025 10:00

I was going to start it on Monday but we all have a bug. Typical. Thought today would be the day but no.

IDareSay · 30/07/2025 10:05

I might try 'Jillian Michaels: Shred-It With Weights'

It uses kettlebells which I like and is only £2.99 on Amazon Prime download.

I must also stop procrastinating and go and get on with L2 D6...!

Iheartmysmart · 30/07/2025 10:44

Good shout @IDareSay that does look an ideal follow on from the Shred.

Hopefully you’ve finished L2 D6 and are well on your way to being shredded…

Iwillclasptheeagain · 30/07/2025 10:57

Careful with sime of her kettlebell moves, swinging backwards through the legs and hinging in the lower back is a no no.

I can also recommend her Killer Buns and Thighs and Body Revolution and Bodyshred series

Just finished! I am now melting...

But L2D6 done and I am on the home straight 💪

Saggyoldclothbody · 30/07/2025 11:41

L2 D6 done. For the first time I was able to do the double jump rope with both legs off the ground at the same time for a full 30 seconds!

Somebody said upthread that around day 5 to 6 is where it starts to feel easier and I’d agree it does with the cardio for me. I’m still using 1.5kg weights and I don’t think I’ll be moving on from them but wonders may never cease 😀

Happyhettie · 30/07/2025 20:21

Level 1 day 3 completed 🥳 wasn’t as bad as day 1 and looking forward to it being easier on day 5/6.

IDareSay · 31/07/2025 16:50

L2 D7 done.

Wasn't sure I would fit it in today as we have had window fitters here, but just squeezed it in before getting dinner on, thank goodness.

Didn't need a rest at all during the cardio today but did need to take a second during the final plank twists; killer!

I'm still on 1.5kg @Saggyoldclothbody and won't be moving up until I'm sure my shoulders can take it; might move up for the bicep stuff on my next go around of the 30 days.

Happyhettie · 31/07/2025 18:22

L1 D4 done. Cardio felt a bit easier but I’m only doing half jacks as I don’t want to hurt my knees. Nowhere near being able to do a push up either. Natalie is hardcore!

Saggyoldclothbody · 31/07/2025 20:29

I know that my shoulders can take it @IDareSay it’s just my heart and lungs that would have the problem when I’m doing it as part of a compound movement 😀

I saw a video teaching you how to learn to do a proper push-up @Happyhettie starting by doing them against a wall getting a full arm bend in and doing smaller sets till you are doing it with good form, then against the back of the sofa, then on your knees before graduating to a full press up. I’ve not tried it out yet.

Gummylump · 31/07/2025 21:38

Thanks for all of the suggestions of other workout routines to try next - I'll check them all out!

Level 3 day 5 done. Hoping to get another in tomorrow before I'm heading off away. Then that's me done for this time round!

PropertyGeek525 · 01/08/2025 10:37

Thanks for starting this thread. I bought the 30 day shred on amazon prime last month and finally got started today. L1 D1 done. ✔️

IDareSay · 01/08/2025 10:42

L2 D8 done.

Hard work but good to get it done with for the day.

Saggyoldclothbody · 01/08/2025 11:24

L2 D7 ✔️

Well done on starting @PropertyGeek525 It’s really hard to start and keep going but it is worth it.

Enjoy the break @Gummylump and look forward to seeing you on your next round😊
