Anyone want to join me?
Yes I know it’s an oldie but I did it about 15 years ago and it was really effective.
I’ve just done day one and the weights and abs stuff weren’t too bad but the cardio nearly killed me, I’m more unfit than I realised.

Oh christ no I won't be doing jumping jacks with them! That'd be a health and safety hazard all round.

Will have to find some lighter weights before level 3 then. 😅

Good idea haha
You’ve inspired me to get some heavier ones for level 1 and 2 though so thanks ☺️

Buntyforgirls · 16/07/2025 07:33

Seems like we're all at around the same stage- day 4 of level 2 today. Can't believe I'm thinking fondly of level 1!
Feeling improvements in waist and shoulders though, and a little stronger and bouncier, but I do not like doing it!
Good luck all!

IDareSay · 16/07/2025 09:44

L1D3 done. Doing a little better with the cardio today.

Careerdecisions · 16/07/2025 16:20

Well that’s a first! I just found myself asking the gym worker for another five minutes so I could vacate at the actual closing time. Unfortunately I mistimed everything today so had only got through circuits one and two before I needed to vacate however as I’d already spent some time in the pub but went to the gym anyway I’m not beating myself up too much about it.

Buntyforgirls · 17/07/2025 09:57

Half way through, yay! I actually got up and did it before setting off on hols.
Off on hols for 5 days so no shredding, but hoping to do some own intervals and strength.
It will be nice to have a break from it, but getting back to it on Tuesday will be hard.
My aim is to complete by my son's wedding in August so I dont have time for many rest days!
Enjoy, everyone!

Saggyoldclothbody · 17/07/2025 15:40

L2 D1 done attempted. I was thinking it wasn’t too bad till the plank jump things came into play. My hands were sliding all over the floor (my excuse) and it all went a bit to pot. I need to get a sticky mat for the floor. Managed to do a bit of cardio for the same amount of time so I’m still well out of puff 😮‍💨

IDareSay · 17/07/2025 17:09

L1D4 done.

I have tried to come up with multiple excuses today to not do it but decided to JFDI and stop procrastinating. Feeling very virtuous now (and I'm melting).

Saggyoldclothbody · 18/07/2025 11:03

L2 D2 completed. Did Anita’s version of the plank jumps and bicycle crunches for the plank things at the end. I’d like to say it was easier than yesterday but my heart rate is at the same level.

I’m definitely losing inches (ok centimetres) off my arms and legs but my stomach is far too stubborn for change.

TheHorrorsPersist · 18/07/2025 14:11

Level 2, day 4 done.
I don’t do any jumping moves due to my knees so I just do a low impact version of all those. Still feels like I’m getting a good workout 💪

Gummylump · 18/07/2025 19:21

So impressed with how consistent everyone's being...well done. 👏

Level 2 day 4 just done. I'm missing days out all over the place but doing my best with work, young children and social life etc. Any day I can fit it in, I will.

IDareSay · 19/07/2025 11:09

L1D5 done.

Had to give it a miss yesterday as I twisted my knee going downhill on our morning walk but all good today and glad to get it over with for another day!
Halfway through level 1 💪

ELCismyspiritnana · 19/07/2025 11:15

Can I please join? I did 2 weeks of this 12 years ago and really snatched my body fat then life got in the way and I piled it on and more.bid love to get back into it.
Those who have done L2 with bad knees - what do you do instead of the knee killers? Do you find its still effective?

IDareSay · 20/07/2025 10:51

L1D6 done. I find I'm powering through the third cardio section now so something is happening!

Slightly worried by the thought of 'knee killers' in L2...

CortadoPlease · 20/07/2025 11:10

L1 D9 done. One more L1 tomorrow then up to L2. Looking forward to the change! I focus quite hard on form to save my knees, eg really making sure they’re pressed outwards/not rolling inwards during squats. Seems to be working in that they’re not any more sore than pre-shred!

I think it's knowing you're almost finished 😂

IDareSay · 21/07/2025 08:56

L1D7 done. Resisting letting the programme run to watch L2 so it will be a nice surprise 😁

TheHorrorsPersist · 21/07/2025 13:32

L2 D5 done.
Half way through 💪
Once I get the hang of a level after the first couple of days I turn the volume down and listen to my audiobook.

Gummylump · 21/07/2025 17:21

Welcome @ELCismyspiritnana how are you getting on?

I've missed a few days again.

Level 2 day 5 just done. Must say this level is really killing my knees so it's probably best that I'm missing days and giving them a break before doing it again!

Really not enjoying level 2. 🙈 anyone else?

Is level 3 even worse?!

FloofyBird · 21/07/2025 18:01

L1 day 9 done. I still can't get through the cardio without stopping though! Is that bit worse in L2?

It’s harder in some ways as the moves as a bit more awkward but level 2 definitely has harder bits too!

Disturbia81 · 21/07/2025 19:26

Just wanted to give an update to help motivate my fellow shredders ♥️
So I completed my second shred a few weeks ago. I did a month, had a month off, then just done another month and I will repeat like that as it seems to be working and giving my body a rest inbetween too.
So after this shred I could really see my muscles had grown and my stomach had gone in, just my whole shape is starting to look a bit more athletic which I’ve never had. I’ve always been a soft wobbly kind of slim 😆
So I weighed myself straight after and was the same weight. This is where people will be disappointed and maybe think fuck it and have a binge. But I knew my muscles had grown and I was full of water retention from the sore muscles, so I knew that scale number would go down to reveal the proper loss.
Well it’s taken 2 weeks but it’s finally going down a lb a day and so far 5lbs down but it looks so much more as the muscle gain has changed my shape. I eat healthily throughout shredding and resting so no change in diet.
I’m actually itching to get started again as I’m loving what it’s doing! Who knew I’d be happier with my body in my mid 40s than any other time 🤣 but yeah my joints need the rest.
I’m 5ft 7 and now 11 stone 9, starting to fit into some size 10s woo (not been that since my early 20s) I’ve mostly been a stable size 12 but big section overhang since babies which I can’t believe has reduced so much
I’m so happy I found something that works for me and is easy to fit into a busy day instead of trailing to a gym
Keep going guys and be patient for the weight to come off a few weeks after finishing, you’ve got this 🖤

IDareSay · 22/07/2025 09:50

L1D8 done. Only the thought of my holiday in mid-August is keeping me going!
(And all of you suffering with me 😁)

Buntyforgirls · 22/07/2025 10:54

That is so motivating @Disturbia81 , thank you and well done!
Back from hols, and back on it later.
And well done to the rest of us to keep going!

Saggyoldclothbody · 22/07/2025 14:22

That is such a carrot to keep going for @Disturbia81 Did you do 30 days on the trot each time or did you have some rest days throughout? I’ve missed a few days with tight hip flexors causing some pain but I do need to jump back in.
