Anyone want to join me?
Yes I know it’s an oldie but I did it about 15 years ago and it was really effective.
I’ve just done day one and the weights and abs stuff weren’t too bad but the cardio nearly killed me, I’m more unfit than I realised.

You're similar to me as I'm 5ft and would like to lose 7-10lbs which is very hard as not overweight to begin with and it's just not happening tbh.

Level 2 day 1 today completed after work. I was then starving all evening, and have gone completely off track with food as a result. 🙈

This is me too, I feel like I’m slim and can’t lose any more weight through calorie restriction so wanted to see what the shred can do, and it’s been amazing. I’m transforming from wobbly squishy slim to toned slim.

Buntyforgirls · 12/07/2025 08:50

I'm exactly the same. 5 ft 2, managed to lose almost a stone, don't need to lose anymore but still have a bit of a squishy tummy, so it is exciting to see my waist beginning to shrink. I can start to love my body again!
Starting level 2 today.
Happy shredding!

Saggyoldclothbody · 12/07/2025 12:43

L1 D8 completed. It’s hot and I’m a sweaty mess and it’s the kind of hot that I’ll be sweating as much after the shower I’m about to have 🥵

Disturbia81 · 12/07/2025 21:33

Keep going ladies you are rocking it! ♥️💪🏼

another unexpected benefit for me is my disappearing tummy pouch from 3 sections. I thought the only thing that could sort it was surgery, and while it hasn’t completely disappeared, it has really flattened and I can wear tops tucked in now! Think it’s mainly the rocking the legs backwards in the abs section that does it

Buntyforgirls · 13/07/2025 08:23

Thanks @Disturbia81 ! What are you doing now, post shredding?
A bit of phoning in yesterday as I tried to get to grips with new moves in level 2, although my body was still a hot, quivering mess!
Good luck today!

The heat was awful so you still did ace to even attempt it at all!
I’ve been doing a month shred, then a month off to rest my muscles and let my weight settle at the lower weight, while still doing some stomach crunches and walking. Then repeat

TheHorrorsPersist · 13/07/2025 11:23

Going to do level 1 day 9 as soon as I finish my coffee. It’s definitely harder to motivate myself in this heat 🥵
I seem to remember level 2 is the worst one for me 😬

Saggyoldclothbody · 13/07/2025 12:16

L1D9 complete. The temptation was to skip this because I’m hot/I did it yesterday/DP is at home and might laugh at me doing it in my pants and bra/I’ve got other things to do etc but I’ll always come up with an excuse to not do it, but now I’ve got it over and done with! 😇

Careerdecisions · 13/07/2025 12:39

Oh dear oh dear, I took Tuesday off as I’d had to travel for work, then Wednesday seemed a bit busy too and before I knew it I was well and truly off the wagon and the wagon had rolled far far away so I couldn’t see it anymore. After 5 days off, I’m on holiday and put on a skirt that’s normally quite lose fitting (last year) was a squeeze. I was so disappointed and felt my good progress had been undone. Luckily this hotel has a gym so I have just finished my version of level 2. I had to improvise a bit as the lightest weight they had was one 5kg and I normally use 1.5kg in each hand. Anyway I’m suitably hot and sweaty now (could be something to do with the 35 degree temperatures too) and am feeling much better about myself. Back to it tomorrow and there’s no excuse for not eating well too as the food is fantastic with lots of fresh fruit and veg that I like. I’m treating this as health retreat!

L1D1 done Star

I've made a start and actually almost enjoyed it Grin but thank goodness it is raining so I can go and stand in it in the garden!

TheHorrorsPersist · 14/07/2025 11:04

Level 1 day 10 completed! So glad it’s cooler and due to rain up here today 🥵

@Saggyoldclothbody I am also down to pants and bra workout, really hope my blinds on the front room window work! 😂

@Careerdecisions well done doing a workout on holiday 💪 don’t think I’ve ever made it inside a hotel gym 🙈

Careerdecisions · 14/07/2025 15:39

Level 2 done properly in the hotel gym having swapped out a 5kg dumbbell for two bottles of water instead. 🤣 Not sure what day I’m on now after my five day break but planning on continuing with level 2 until I’m home. I’d actually rather be in the gym than outside, at least there’s air conditioning!

Keep going everyone, we’ll all be shredded in no time!

Gummylump · 14/07/2025 16:47

I missed 3 days of workouts! 😭 there was just no time over the weekend.

So level 2 day 2 done now after that hiatus, and I so wish I hadn't decided to do this in a heatwave. Wasn't actually aware I could sweat so much.

Gummylump · 14/07/2025 16:49

I've been using 5kg weights as that's the lightest we have, and have been finding them too heavy for some exercises, so I was wondering what others were using actually!

Saggyoldclothbody · 14/07/2025 18:34

@TheHorrorsPersist The room I exercise in is very secluded and we have an 8ft fence so I don’t close the blinds but I do live in fear of some of the local children deciding to pop their heads over. If they see me, they will be scarred for life.

@Gummylump I couldn’t even attempt to do some of the repetitions of exercises with 5kg weights alongside all of the jumping about - I could if they were just standalone and I had time for a rest in between times. I have to use 1.5kg and 2.5kg.

I’m having a rest day today; procrastination got the better of me this morning 🥴

Careerdecisions · 14/07/2025 22:43

I am in awe of your weights! I had to lift that 5kg dumbbell with two hands. I usually use 1.5kg at home but I’ve used cans of chickpeas and beans in the past and still got results so my 500 ml (500g) bottles of water will have to do for now.

Greenfingers37 · 14/07/2025 23:06

Following with interest!

Buntyforgirls · 15/07/2025 07:38

You are all stars! 5kg weights are impressive! I use 4kg for the fly chest presses, but I.5, sometimes 2 for the rest for sure.
I have had 2 days off, am not looking forward to this...
At least it's cooler, good luck all!

Saggyoldclothbody · 15/07/2025 10:40

L1 D10 complete! Level 2 tomorrow or Thursday night just when I was getting used to jumping jacks 😬

TheHorrorsPersist · 15/07/2025 11:01

Level 2 day 1 done.

It wasn’t as bad as I remembered but it might just be that I’m so happy to get 20 minutes peace that’s it’s easy compared to the constant refereeing of sibling fights 🤔
*We’re on week 3 of 7 in the summer holidays 🫠

CortadoPlease · 15/07/2025 12:54

I’ve missed a couple of days but L1 D7 done. I’m going to do 10 days of each level but with an occasional rest day so it’ll take a bit longer than 30 days.

IDareSay · 15/07/2025 13:46

L1D2 done. Have the fan set up now which helps.

I'm on 1.5kg weights due to dodgy shoulders.

Careerdecisions · 15/07/2025 14:11

Level 2, day 3 done in the hotel gym. Geez it’s really not getting any easier! Telling myself it’s because I’m pushing myself more each time and my form is improving but my goodness I’m pleased it’s only 20 minutes.

Gummylump · 15/07/2025 16:42

Level 2 is no joke! I'm impressed you're still doing it whilst staying away in a hotel 👏

You've all made me feel better about having to take little breaks here and there with the 5kg weights.

Level 2 day 3 done. I can't wait for Level 2 to be over tbh. 😩 🙈

Wow, respect! 😂 I use 3kg, I don’t think I could go heavier in level 3 when we incorporate them in the jumping jacks etc
