Anyone want to join me?
Yes I know it’s an oldie but I did it about 15 years ago and it was really effective.
I’ve just done day one and the weights and abs stuff weren’t too bad but the cardio nearly killed me, I’m more unfit than I realised.

Day 41 of Body Revolution done, (cardio session 2). Takes me to 42/84 including the rest day scheduled for tomorrow which I probably won't take, so that's me halfway through.

Sing as I squat @Happyhettie ? I'm usually too busy trying to breathe! Jillian always has something difficult up her sleeve, that's for sure 😅

These two new strength programmes are very challenging as you would expect at over half way through. I spent quite a bit of time wobbling! By the time I get the hang of them it will be time for new ones 😂

Day 14/30 completed. It’s been so cold this week, exercising has kept me toastier. Although I have found now I’m not so fat, I’m not so warm. It’s definitely made a difference.

Ah yes, Jillian does often remind us to breathe! Agree with you on the feeling cold, and also discovered my bum now feels bony and I need a cushion on my hard chair 😳

Day 48 done yesterday, (cardio session 2). Takes me to 48/84 and Day 49 is a rest day so that is the end of week 7 for me, 49/84

Once I finish this coffee I am going to start week 8....

Quite glad to see the back of strength session 7, it's a killer, but no doubt the next one will be even worse! Almost at the end of week 8 now 😳

I'll finish week 9 on Thursday and that will be 75% of the programme done. Still on course to be done by Christmas 🎄

Burbling away to myself here mostly but it helps me keep track of where I'm at; anyone else still going?

Day 62 done just now, (cardio session 3), takes me to 62/84 and that's week 9 done and dusted.

I'm doing all the exercises, some with minor modifications, but mostly as Jillian does them, apart from one in session 9 which I currently cannot do at all (rock and roll squats – go from standing, squat and roll onto your back with feet over head and roll back to standing. Working on it...I should be able to do this!)

Day 70 is a rest day so that's week 10 done and dusted! I am sooooo looking forward to finishing this, it's been tough.

The final two new strength sessions start this week so I'll see what delights Jillian has in store for me in the last 2 weeks of this programme 😁

(Still can't do a rock and roll squat but I may keep trying just for fun!)

AMAZING 🤩 @IDareSay you have done so well! How do you feel?
Those rock and roll squats are ridiculous!!

I’ve totally fallen off the wagon. I really need to get back on it. Haven’t gained any weight I don’t think but not lost any more / not any fitter than I was. I don’t honestly know what’s stopping me, I need to get a grip.

Thanks @Happyhettie I really don't know how I have managed to keep going, I think I have just got into the habit now. I miss it if I have to miss a session for some reason. Somehow Jillian's workouts have just clicked for me.

It is of course a massive help that I am now retired and get dressed into my workout clothes as soon as I get up. Couple of coffees and off I go; Jillian/shower/brunch/dog walk is my daily routine.

I'm feeling pretty good, no injuries (touch wood) just my normal creaky hip which does limit my flexibility but I do the exercises to my best ability. Even Jillian isn't as flexible as some of the women in the class!

Day 70 a rest day, which I did not take 70/84
Day 71 done Thursday (first new strength session 11) 71/84
Day 72 done Friday (first new strength session 12) 72/84
Day 73 done yesterday (cardio session 3) 73/84
Day 74 done this morning (strength session 11) 74/84

I'm near the end of the penultimate week now, just 8 sessions to go... 😱

Amazing! 🤩 7 sessions to go now!

Getting in to a routine like that definitely helps. It’s over and done with early as well which means you’ve got the rest of the day.
Have you noticed a big difference in your fitness levels? Brilliant you’ve no injuries as well.

I’m back on the shred today. Day 1 Level 1 completed. I can get 10 days in before Christmas if I do it every day.

I don’t really have a good reason not to other than I have fallen off the bandwagon. I’ve missed it the last couple of weekends and thought about it but I don’t know why I haven’t actually done it. It’s got to bed time each night and I regret not having done it.

So I’ve given myself a good talking to today and I’m starting again. It’s a Monday so that seems a sensible day to start. Just going to have to bite the bullet and do it after work.

This is the last week of term so the holidays will be easy enough and then in the new year I’m going to decide on which days I can fit it in (around meetings / marking etc) and make it part of my routine.
Other people manage it so I can to.

I have noticed a big difference in my fitness @Happyhettie it really shows when I am walking up steep hills, I don't have to stop for a breather half as often. I'm generally just more comfortable moving through the world if that makes sense.

Cheering you on with your 10 day plan; routine really is the key for me and also the fact that I can eat more if I burn some calories with Jillian Grin

That’s so good you can feel a real difference. It must be doing your heart so much good if you’re not stopping as frequently and it totally makes sense about moving through the world more easily.

This morning before work I have completed L1 D2. My muscles were aching from yesterday but not as bad as I thought it would be so I’ve obviously kept a bit of the fitness I’d built up.
2/10 days done!

My Apple health stats all look good, although my weighing scale app says I am still 'slightly fat' HmmGrin

I haven't yet decided what programme to do next, there are a lot to choose from, but I'll properly think about it after Christmas. I do think it will do me good to have a break.
I have had an email from Jillian this morning with a suggestion of a 5 minute 'quick hit' to do over the holidays so I'm going to try and do that every morning at least. Can be done in pyjamas I reckon 😄

Hit my lowest weight of the year this morning, just in time to fatten myself up like a Christmas turkey 😂

Day 83 done this morning (cardio session 3) 83/84 and a rest day tomorrow completes the Body Revolution programme 84/84!

I'll be doing my usual dog walks and fit in a few mini 5 minute workouts over the festive break, but otherwise that is me done until January. I will peruse some workouts on the app from the comfort of my sofa with a glass of fizz and some chocolates knowing I really have earned them this year! 🍾

By the way, I found a really useful workout review website, I'll post the link later but I must now go and do some measurements before I forget...

I started my first 30 Day Shred on 14th July and did my measurements that day. I am now 2 x 30 Day Shreds and a 90 day Body Revolution in the bank, so a good time to compare.

My weight loss since 14th July is around 4kg (so just over half a stone, not loads), and I have been intermittent fasting and calorie counting to achieve that, along with the exercise.

Underarm -4cm (to monitor underarm and back fat)
Full bust -2cm
Underbust -5cm
Waist -4cm
Belly button -11cm
Hips -4cm
Thigh R -3cm
Thigh L -2cm (my thighs have always been slightly uneven)
Arm R -4cm
Arm L -4cm

Of course these are all approximate as it depends how tight the tape is and I can make my waist 2cm smaller by pulling in my tummy! My waist is now bang on half my height (and would be less that half my height if I hadn't recently discovered I have shrunk by about 3cm!)
Hip to waist ratio is 0.82, which is ok.

I'm especially pleased with the reduction in my belly measurement, as I feel like I was carrying a lot of my weight there. Next year I want to reduce my hip to weight ratio, my waist measurement, and my body fat (currently 29.1% which is a big improvement from 32.1% in July but needs to be lower).
Current BMI is 23.7, so well in the healthy range but I would like to be somewhere in the 21s, so another 5kg or so to lose but want to build muscle on the way.

I think it is just you and I at the moment @Happyhettie but hopefully a few others will join us in the new year.
