Anyone want to join me?
Yes I know it’s an oldie but I did it about 15 years ago and it was really effective.
I’ve just done day one and the weights and abs stuff weren’t too bad but the cardio nearly killed me, I’m more unfit than I realised.

L2 D10 complete. L3 currently running in the background in preparation…. It looks less jumpy around which I may, or may not, be better with.

@Happyhettiehe’s Mr Mackenzie, and today is fast asleep 💤

@IheartmysmartYou’ve had a terrible time of it, so well done for taking this on. Your heart rate improvement is really impressive. I’d be interested in where you are losing inches. We’re the same age, I’m about 3 stone overweight by bmi, and my menopause belly is absolutely depressing - my waist is bigger than my bra band measurement and it expands below that to rapidly diminishing hips 😱😭 Thankfully I still have a very ample bosom so it’s not immediately apparent when I’ve got clothes on. I may have lost about 1/2 an inch off my waist since starting 30DS (but over an inch on my arms???) so I’m hoping that I’ll see some extra loss when I finish the full 30 days 🤞

Thanks @Saggyoldclothbody Things are much better now, and I’m finally in the right headspace to look after myself.

I measured again this morning and have lost 3 inches off my hips, 3 off my waist and 2 off my boobs. Still have a menopause belly but am starting to get some definition at the sides if that makes sense. Just need to sort my eating out now which will make a huge difference. My diet isn’t too bad but you can tell I like cake!

I love Mr Mackenzie 😍

@Iheartmysmart Those are great losses. Maybe I’m phoning it in a bit too much or, with luck, it will all come together for me in level 3 🙏

Day 13 completed and I did all of L2 without any L1 mixed in. Nice to feel the difference so quickly. In 2 days time I will be half way through the 30 days. 😃

My Apple Watch said my effort was moderate. The cheek of it.

Day 14 done! Level 2 with a bit of level 1 mixed in. I’m tired and achy today but I’ve still done it.

Right shoulder a little better, it will probably benefit from a few days break but it's been dodgy for years so I'm not blaming Jillian.

27 sessions done now and 3 to go. By my reckoning that's the shred 90% completed 🎉

Final push coming up.

Hello 👋 I was posting before but have name changed since. Completed 1 round of the shred last month but have now been on holiday and undone all of the progress made. 😨

Back on it with L1D1 today.

I've downloaded Jillian's app as I was sick of that site and the adverts, plus it kept buffering and reloading for me.

There's a free 7 day trial of the app so thought I'd give it a go. It has the 30 day shred plus all of her other dvds on there plus lots of other programmes And workouts to follow. It also has some recipes etc and a weight tracker. You can add progress selfias as you go.

There's a forum section which seems fairly inactive.

I don’t think you can name change within a thread (for obvious reasons). Not that there’s likely to be much nefariousness on a 30 day shred thread!

L3 D1 complete.

For me, this level today was an odd mix of really quite easy (superman and mountain climbers) and very hard (all the things that included jumping basically 😀). My heart rate didn’t get up to the peaks of previous sessions though so I’m not quite sure what to make of it. I need to get a proper non slip yoga mat out though as my hands were going everywhere using my blanket on the floor today. And DP will have kittens about the risk to the TV of doing jumping jacks with weights if he sees me. Sweaty hands trying to grip weights is not a good combination.

@Gummylump Were you looking at Daily Motion link on Brave? I’m having no problems with it after I changed a few settings after googling “adverts still showing on Brave browser”.

A yoga mat makes a huge difference to grip @Saggyoldclothbody I have visions of my weights going flying out the window during the jumping jacks. And I’ve not attempted the rockstar jumps just in case I end up in my downstairs neighbour’s flat.

L3D2, adapted a bit as I think I might have strained a muscle (well, I definitely strained them all but it was hurting a bit) and adapted things bit it still felt harder than yesterday and my hr was higher too.

One more day to go - woo hoo @IDareSay If I’m not back before you update tomorrow, have great holiday, and take all your measurements before you leave and after you come back to confirm the puffiness shredding after a break theory🤞😊

Having a day off today due to some unforeseen family stuff this morning and now it is far too hot to contemplate leaping around.

Had a Drs appointment this afternoon and they didn’t have a record of my weight so I got on the scales (fully dressed and with trainers on so that must add about a billion stone surely) and I weigh an absolutely awful 15 stone. 15 stone. There are rugby players that weigh less.

Back to it tomorrow.

I am so glad I have found this thread. I completely day 6 of the 30 day shred today and omg it was tough in the heat. I used to do a lot of jillian Michaels workouts but joined a gym a couple of years back and have put on weight. A combination of poor times at the gym and childcare issues meant I didn't use it much. I am aiming to tone up a lot as I go abroad next month.

Delighted to find this thread,it has given me the motivation to give it a go.I'm going on holiday on 29th August so I'll have 2 levels completed by then so hopefully have some body changes.Started last night and omg I thought I was going to have a heart attack BlushManaged the jumping jacks but couldn't do the rope or butt kick jumps ,just marched them out.Crawled to the shower after and straight to bed!!!Did day 2 earlier and was a little bit better but nearly took a chunk out of the fireplace doing the side bends with weights so just going to use my arms till my coordination improves.Actually got a buzz out of doing it today, hopefully that continues Smile

Day 16 done. Did 1 set of the plank jacks like Natalie. 😃 (then had to have a quick lie down on the mat) It is ridiculously hot again today which doesn’t help.

Forgot to steal my fan back so I am just a big pool of melted human now 😂

That's me taking at least a week off now, including a few days away. If anyone wonders if they can do this, I'm in my 60's, overweight, dodgy right shoulder, knackered left knee, one hip replaced and the other one due and I managed it, even getting up to Natalie's level for over half of it.

I'll measure tomorrow but I can see and feel the difference in my shape and my stamina.
