Anyone want to join me?
Yes I know it’s an oldie but I did it about 15 years ago and it was really effective.
I’ve just done day one and the weights and abs stuff weren’t too bad but the cardio nearly killed me, I’m more unfit than I realised.

weight has settled at a 5lb loss and many inches lost so tonight I’m starting another round before my holiday abroad, is it sad that I’m excited 🤣 who is this person..

FloofyBird · 01/08/2025 15:01

Well done @disturbia!

I had a good 4 weeks then this week I've only shredded once (only doing 3x a wk anyway) and yesterday I ate a whole vienetta, small bag of Haribo and a McDonald's burger. Oops. Back on it now and will shred again over the w/e.

Iheartmysmart · 01/08/2025 15:05

Wow that’s great @Disturbia81 I’m actually sad now if I don’t get the chance to do my workout which is most unlike me. I think it’s because I can see results even though I’m only halfway through. It’s very motivating.

Thanks!
I had a few days like that too, but found I didn’t gain as much bloat as I usually do as my metabolism is faster, I bet your body has dealt with it better too ☺️

Thanks! That’s exactly it, I honestly can’t believe the changes I’ve seen after two shreds and yes you’re right you can see them happening day by day. I’m usually a 12, slimish but soft.. had muffin top, wobbly thighs, top back fat, also that bit of fat that joins your bum to your back.. it’s all gone. Now I just have an arse and a separate back 😂 Wish I’d started it decades ago 🙄

Iheartmysmart · 01/08/2025 19:40

L2 D8 just done! Even my balance is improving - slowly! I’m probably a couple of stone overweight which really shows as I’m very short. Must say, I am looking forward to having a separate arse 😆

😂
In a few months time this thread will be a sea of separate arses! ♥️

Happyhettie · 01/08/2025 20:16

I have done day 5 of level 1. I’ve still got an arse the size of a Tellytubby’s but whilst this is fast acting, I do need to be a bit patient 😂

Iheartmysmart · 01/08/2025 20:23

Oh I miss the 😆 emoji. Here’s to separate arses for everyone ❤️

IDareSay · 02/08/2025 11:02

L2 D9 done.
I am quite surprised at myself getting this far! Aiming to finish level 2 tomorrow.

On the subject of bottoms, I have lost 4cm from the measurement parallel to my bellybutton, which is where I carry weight. Not really hips or waist iyswim, the area between, the area that I can feel pads of fat when I stand with my hands on my hips. Noticeably less noticeable!

Happyhettie · 02/08/2025 17:13

@Saggyoldclothbody thanks for the recommendation for how to press ups - I will have a look at that. I’d like to be strong enough to do press ups.

Well done @PropertyGeek525 for starting, it’s such a good workout.

And v well done @IDareSay seeing results is such a good feeling.

Level 1 day 6 completed. Bit achy today but I did it. Could actually do the bicycle thing at the end for the whole minute 😃

Iheartmysmart · 02/08/2025 20:02

L2 D9 done here as well so will also plan to finish level 2 tomorrow.

I don’t seem to have lost much weight, possibly around 4lb, but have noticed a definite difference in my shape. I tried a pair of trousers on earlier that I couldn’t do up a few weeks ago and to my surprise they fitted. Think I need to tighten up on my diet as well now and stop eating junk for a bit!

I find it's better to take measurements. I weighed 12st on tues and today I'm 12.7 as my weight fluctuates so much. But I'm definitely losing inches

FloofyBird · 03/08/2025 11:16

I don't know how to link on the app but there's an Aibu post about a dexa scan atm and someone's posted a link on there to an article where people weigh the same but look very different due to strength training which is very interesting.

Iheartmysmart · 03/08/2025 11:27

I’ve just been reading that thread @FloofyBird and it is interesting. Did my measurements this morning and I have lost a total of 7 inches so far which I’m really pleased about. And I’m less wobbly, particularly my upper arms and thighs.

IDareSay · 03/08/2025 11:41

L2 D10 done! 💪

On to level 3 tomorrow; I have resisted the urge to watch it and see what's in store...😳

It is interesting, will go find the thread.
Basically a kilo of muscle will take up quite a bit less space than a kilo of fat, so you would be smaller yet can weigh the same.
I haven't lost a lot of weight but I am definitely smaller, the tape measure proves it (as do my clothes).

Saggyoldclothbody · 03/08/2025 12:16

L2 D8 completed. Today my willpower was saying do it, and my body was saying I’ve got a sore back and my knee is doing funny things - but willpower won the day!

Oddly (for me) now that my cardio has improved from all those jumping jacks, I’m thinking tentatively about starting c2 5k again. I’ve not been running since 2014 and only once managed a Parkrun!!! DP doesn’t know what’s come over me 😀

FloofyBird · 03/08/2025 13:33

Thanks @IDareSay

I've just done l2 d2. Back on it! The pics helped my motivation

PropertyGeek525 · 03/08/2025 14:53

Well done to everyone getting started and making progress.

I did L1 D2 yesterday.

I run 3 times a week (between 4-7kms) so I think I will do the 30 shred on the days I don’t run and take Sundays off.

My plan is:
August - L1 3/wk
September - L2 3/wk
October - L3 3/wk
After that I will see where I am and set new goals.
(sharing for accountability)

Happyhettie · 03/08/2025 20:49

Everyone is doing really well 👏

It is really helping me have accountability too. I’ve not told anyone in the real world I’m doing this so thanks for being there.
Level 1 day 7 completed!

Greenfingers37 · 03/08/2025 20:53

I’m starting tomorrow! Dreading it! 🤣

IDareSay · 04/08/2025 11:48

L3 D1 done.
OMFG! If you don't hear from me again, blame Jillian 😈
