For me

10 mile mountain bike ride. (Very hilly, technical terrain)

5 mile run, off road, hilly

20 mile road cycle (fairly hilly terrain, decent pace eg 16mph average)

25 mile hilly road cycle

I'm late 30s and my metabolic age is 22.

@Rolloisthebestpony thank you. I get really frustrated sometimes but I’m trying. I’m hoping to cycle to radiotherapy tomorrow (and get the train back as it’s 31 miles away). I feel so down about my appearance, I don’t recognise myself in the mirror and exercise is the only thing that helps.

It’s great to see what everyone else is doing! I must try and add in some yoga type stuff. I don’t enjoy it 😖 but it’s really important.

Yellowsubmarineunderthesea · 24/04/2023 21:09

@lljkk I have a similiar Excellent rating with Fitbitb but my stays are different. I guess it's taking age into account maybe

@HunterHearstHelmsley How do you find out your metabolic age ?

If you consider yourself fit, what exercise have you done in the last 7 days?
Ludicrousness · 24/04/2023 21:09

I’m m trying to get fit:

2x body pump
2 x yoga
2 x 5 k runs
1 x cardio gym session

Yellowsubmarineunderthesea · 24/04/2023 21:09

Autocorrect 🙄 - my stats

Gherkingreen · 24/04/2023 21:12

My usual, which is 30 minutes every day of either weights or cardio at home plus 60min dog walks, 90mins on weekend days.

ChaliceinWonderland · 24/04/2023 21:29

I walk 10k steps daily,. Big walk at weekend.

Running 2 miles minimum every other day.

Swim 1 hour Saturdays, Tuesdays, Thursdays.

I'm 52, work FT. Fittest I've ever been...

lljkk · 24/04/2023 22:38

metabolic age calculator here

Ricco12 · 24/04/2023 22:52

Last week I did 26 miles of running split over 4 days. Mostly trails with my dog easy pace , 1 speed session

13 miles of walking - with dog .

ZZTopGuitarSolo · 25/04/2023 01:43

lljkk · 24/04/2023 22:38

Metabolic age is 37 apparently.

I’m 53 so I’ll take the win :-)

Wishona · 25/04/2023 07:46

lljkk · 24/04/2023 22:38

Oh well I like that calculator. I’m 41 but it puts me as 24 😂 I am nearly the same size though, just 4lb heavier.

Codlingmoths · 25/04/2023 09:06

That calculator is funny. I’d have to put on quite a bit of weight including muscle of course, to get my metabolic age down, or be very lean. I’m an averagely healthy 40 year old.

Yellowsubmarineunderthesea · 25/04/2023 13:14

If that calculator is correct I've a metabolic age of 39 - I'm 60 !! I wonder 🤷🤷

Hubblebubble · 25/04/2023 17:43

I couldn't do the calculator as I have no idea what my fat composition percentage is.

Shannith · 25/04/2023 18:24

1 hour yoga a day
2 hours dog walk a day
Rode for 1 hour twice
Long reined (horse) for 2 x 40 mins
Weights (just arms) every other day
General stable duties too

Actually looks like a lot now I write it down but it's just part of my life.

Shannith · 25/04/2023 18:34

Hubblebubble · 25/04/2023 17:43

It's basically your BMI

Quite pleased age 47 metabolic rate )whatever that is 32)

But only because it's lower.

Hubblebubble · 25/04/2023 19:23

@Shannith thank you! There I was wondering if everyone else had those fancy weighing scales that calculate your visceral fat levels. I tried one once (years ago) at a fancy gym

Candlesandflowers · 25/04/2023 20:03

10,000 steps a day
Park run
21km run
2 x HIIT classes
7.5km run

I really love my exercise and don’t have kids yet, how do people manage to fit in their exercise when you have children ?!

EllaPaella · 25/04/2023 20:08

At least an hours dog walk everyday- sometimes 2
3 X 5k runs a week
2 swims in the sea this last week
A 15km bike ride
I don't do any real HIT stuff, most of what I do is cardio.
I'm definitely not as fit as some but I think I am doing enough to keep me fit and healthy.

Me and my husband just take it in turns, he does a gym night the next night I'll do a run.
Kids come with us for a lot of the walks and we go out on bikes as a family every weekend.

Hubblebubble · 25/04/2023 20:48

@EllaPaella a fully remote job with flexitime. I simply drop little one at school, exercise before core hours begin, work out again at lunchbreak, then more work before pick up. I then work again after DCs bedtime.

Hubblebubble · 25/04/2023 20:49

@EllaPaella oops meant to tag @Candlesandflowers sorry!
