For me

10 mile mountain bike ride. (Very hilly, technical terrain)

5 mile run, off road, hilly

20 mile road cycle (fairly hilly terrain, decent pace eg 16mph average)

25 mile hilly road cycle

I just do something every day. This week it’s been:

10k run
Pilates class
2k swimming
15k cycling
an hour of tennis
an hour of weights
Shadowboxing class

franglais123 · 23/04/2023 21:05

45-60 min dog walk every day
10-30 min Pilates every day (doing an online programme)
3 x 20 min weights

(ordinarily I would have 1/2 60 min cardio classes as well - Clubbercise/spin or something else but I’ve been on holiday)

Boxin · 23/04/2023 21:10

Over the past week I have:
7 hours at the boxing gym - bag work, HIIT, weights (2 x 2 hrs, 3 x 1 hr, 2 rest days).
Daily walks with the dogs - around 5 k.
2 x yoga.

I would say I was fairly fit but not got the body I want as I also love food and too much of it!

rhow · 23/04/2023 21:15

2 x Yoga (1h)
2 x Netball (1h)
3 x 30-12-3
2 x 45 min run.

Cerealkillerontheloose · 23/04/2023 21:23

i did 6 days and i ran 20k everyday

so a total of 100k in a week

Wishona · 23/04/2023 21:32

I wouldn’t consider myself that fit as I don’t do much cardio at all.
I’ve done 5 yoga classes (Vinyasa and hot), 1 Barre class, 1 Body Sculpt and 3 Reformer Pilates in the last 7 days.
That’s 10 hours, I’ll often back to back 2 classes if I’m out the house. Or I do 8am or 8pm.

I finished chemo 7 weeks ago and start radiotherapy tomorrow. Had two surgeries before chemo and also had a baby via c section four months before diagnosis 😬 so fitness is definitely not what it was but I’ve done my best to keep it up where I can. This week:

Mon - 30 mins Body Pump, 45 min spin class, 3 mile dog walk
Tue - 50 mile hilly road cycle (I’m doing Ride London next month)
Wed - DD turned 1 🥰 so nothing except walking the dogs
Thurs - 30 mins Body Pump, 3 mile dog walk
Friday - walked DD 2 miles to nursery in the sling, 45 min spin class
Sat - 7k canicross trail run, 3 mile dog walk
Today - feel rough and have barely moved from the sofa, DH thinks I’ve overdone it, I think I’ve caught my 35784322th cold

pfftt · 23/04/2023 21:33

4 days gym (weight lifting)
1 day HIIT
2 days 2 hour power walk

megletthesecond · 23/04/2023 21:38

Mon, body pump
Tues, kickboxing
Weds & thurs, office days 20k steps
Fri, circuit class
Sat, parkrun
Today, 3m jog to shop and back.
My daily step target is 14k and I always hit it.

Minesril · 23/04/2023 21:38

Caroline Girvan every day. Walk everywhere, often with a 3 year old in a back carrier!

Bobshhh · 23/04/2023 21:40

5km run
7km run
8km run
3km run
17km run

waterlego · 23/04/2023 21:43

Love reading about all this activity and the different ways people are keeping fit.

Every week I do 5 x Bodypump, 6 x Bodybalance, 1 x General Fitness class and lots of dog walks. From this week onwards I’ll be adding in 1 x Spin per week.

How are your knees? I have learnt I need a day between each run otherwise I get tendinitis

They’re ok. I don’t suffer with pain fortunately I do occasionally get a numb foot but my backs been checked out etc. training for an ultra marathon.

ashamed1235 · 24/04/2023 08:47

Blimey, I thought I did pretty well! Feeling seriously lazy now!

I do one PT session a week
About three home weights or KB classes - Caroline Girvan or KB with Roxy.
Two YouTube Pilates - often with resistance bands.
Big walk at the weekend .

So jealous. No matter how slow and carefully I train I’m always on the verge of mechanical breakdown. Currently icing my knee!

LighterNights · 24/04/2023 09:58

4 hours of weight training with about an hour of treadmill, this has been over 4 gym visits.

I'm 56, so doing weights is important. I swim from time to time, but I'm concentrating on muscular mass now I'm in menopause.

stinkydampteatowel · 24/04/2023 10:09

For context - as I think this is important. I'm a competitive cyclist (amateur level at masters/ vet age cat). I also work full time (mainly from home) and have a 6 year old. I've been cycling regularly for 15 years.

The last week has been an 'easy' week as I did some testing yesterday and needed a 48 hour break from intensive exercise. I also needed a recovery week, or even with the 48 hour rest I'd have been too tired.

Monday - 2 hours indoor on zwift (mix of zone 2 and 3).

Tuesday - 2.5 hours outdoor cycling - kept it zone 2.

Wednesday - rest day.

Thursday - 2.5 hour as a cycle commute - I kept it zone 2 with 2 blocks of sweet spotefforts lasting 30 mins. Easy 30 min cycle commute back home.

Friday - 2 hours zone 2 on zwift.

Saturday - social 8.5 mile walk with DS and my friends.

Sunday - lactate threshold test.

I also spend 20 mins every evening stretching and foam rolling focussing on my problem areas.

I walk approx 4,000 - 5,000 steps a day.

I'm struggling to get fitness back since it dipped just over a year ago when life got in the way a bit!! I would say I'm extreme fit but nothing like my glory days before DS was born!!

Vicliz24 · 24/04/2023 10:14

3x 7k runs . 70 k walking . 3x weights. 2hours skipping.

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 24/04/2023 10:14

I'm over 60 and find my fitness drops dramatically if I have too long off. So I run 5 x 5 miles. On one day off this week I walked 5 miles and on the other it was 7+.

But then, I also have a very high energy dog...

CryingAtTheDiscotheque · 24/04/2023 10:51

Interesting hearing how everyone keeps moving!
Last week:
4 x CrossFit
1 x 5k run (v slow!)
1 x spin
Various walks

In awe of some of the running achievements on this thread!
I'm 55 and have been doing CrossFit for 5 years now, I absolutely love it.

QuentininQuarantino · 24/04/2023 10:54

I consider myself averagely fit.

I’ve done:
an hour in the gym (cardio mostly)
