Hello @StarryHyles 👋

That's a shame your arm is still at you, Roonetta. Having paid a fortune for 18 months of physio, I completely understand. Luckily our health insurance covered some of the cost, but it really can be prohibitive.

Hope you and your dp are OK, hotwaterbottles.

Hill walk this morning. I really need to start running it again 😩

Days exercised 120

PeloFondo · 06/09/2022 19:17

30 min low impact ride (loads of playing with cadence and single leg drills)
Post ride stretch (have to do one after every ride for the challenge!)
15 min focus flow yoga working on hips

WolfMother326 · 06/09/2022 21:48

Disappeared for a few days as I didn't have any childcare. Past two days went to gyms for weights, and today ran 4.5 miles on lunchbreak. Will try to get out a couple more times this week. So good for me to have this time to myself.

StarryHyles · 06/09/2022 22:13

thanks for the welcomes! Being on this thread has already motivated me. Went to the gym for 40 mins of weights at lunch, then a friend asked if I wanted to run this evening so we did 6k. Hoping it will help me sleep better than I have been sleeping and that I can over time get back in the groove - I’d like to get back to my 2019 level of fitness (2h half). A long way from that currently, but Rome etc …

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 07/09/2022 07:02

Yoga done last night. I had good intentions about starting the 30DS again, but my hip and knee are playing up - the hip is a long-standing niggle, but the knee is new, so I’ll give it till the weekend. Annoying as I’ve put on a bit of weight over the summer and need to sort myself out.

Good to have new people joining!

Days exercised 137.

iloveeverykindofcat · 07/09/2022 08:58

Did weights again yesterday and definitely less sore in the legs this time (bum hurts a bit though!). Today 40min yoga, 30min swim.

CrimsonAlligator · 07/09/2022 10:59

Today’s exercise: 50 minute steady row.

I’ve now made it to the end of the “power phase” of my training plan. It’s been a challenge to say the least! The next phase will be focussed on strength…not sure how that’s different from power, but I guess I’ll find out. But first a recovery week! 😁

SophieLion · 07/09/2022 12:24

Complex series day 2 (upper body).

Days exercised 164

roonetta · 07/09/2022 16:44

Well done everyone!

Sorry to hear your hip is playing up Professor. Hopefully it won't last too long.

I should go to the GP Sophie but getting a face to face appointment is near impossible and I'm not really sure what else they can do. I will have to go if it doesn't improve, but for now I will keep on with the exercises the osteopath gave me. It felt a bit easier today until my DS jumped out on me and jarred it all over again Confused

4 mile WWL done

Days exercised 140

PeloFondo · 07/09/2022 16:57

10 min barre class

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 08/09/2022 06:39

Yoga done last night. I’ve booked into an actual class on Saturday too.

Sorry your arm is still giving you trouble, roonetta. I don’t even think about the GP as a potential solution to anything any more, which is a bit depressing.

Days exercised 138.

SophieLion · 08/09/2022 07:48

Fingers crossed the exercises work Roonetta. Not very helpful of your DS....!

Complex series day 3 glutes plus a dead bug abs workout. Not trained glutes for ages and I could tell today....

Days exercised 165

SophieLion · 08/09/2022 07:50

Don't get me started on GPs. My family has had no end of trouble with the ones in their area. Thought perhaps it would be better elsewhere.

So much easier here where you just go straight to the specialist who either deals with it or says that it isn't actually your bone, for example, so you need to see a neurologist as it's the nerve etc etc.

iloveeverykindofcat · 08/09/2022 08:38

A mix of HIIT, weights and Pilates today but not for too long/hard, one knee is being a bit problematic. I'm insanely hypermobile and they move a lot.

SophieLion · 09/09/2022 08:18

6km interval run plus some abs workouts.

Days exercised 166

ILikeHotWaterBottles · 09/09/2022 12:13

I've got COVID 😭so no exercise for me for a few days.

CrimsonAlligator · 09/09/2022 13:01

Oh no @ILikeHotWaterBottles . Hope you feel better soon.

Today’s exercise: 40 minute steady row (a.k.a. slow and boring 🥱)

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 09/09/2022 15:03

Oh no, hotwaterbottles, I hope it's not too bad a dose. Mind yourself.

One planned and one unplanned rest day. Nearly another one today but I made myself go for a swim and feel much better for it.

Days exercised 121

roonetta · 09/09/2022 16:58

Get well soon Waterbottles Flowers

Walk to/from work yesterday and today
Also added a 3 mile WWL when I got home. She used bands in this one for some upper body strength.

Days exercised 142

Hope you feel better soon, HotWaterBottles. I had it back in May, the worst thing was the dizziness.

Yoga done, this one was quite hard.

Days exercised 139.

WolfMother326 · 10/09/2022 10:37

Yesterday ran to and from the station with a detour in woods, did about 40 min total. Will try and get out today as well.

Thanks for this grou0, so helpful.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 10/09/2022 13:17

Actual 90-minute yoga class done! Painful but I feel better for it.

Days exercised 140.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 10/09/2022 13:49

Nice long walk this morning.

Days exercised 122

PeloFondo · 10/09/2022 14:25

@PeloFondo killer. I bet you felt good afterwards though. I meant to swim Friday but I didn't have time to get to the pool and back and ended up squeezing in a run instead. My cat sprained her leg just as the weekend was starting. I had to get her an emergency vet appointment because she was in a lot of pain. Its not broken. Its a nasty sprain. I just paid a hundred and ten quid for the cat equivalent of ibuprofen and advice to rest her leg.

Yesterday as a bit lighter, lots of walking, housework and some quick ab work. I was going to do weights but I'll be frank, I was hungover after having a few drinks Friday night. I've clearly hit that point in my thirties when you start paying for it. Anyway, back to weights/HIIT/yoga session today, all fairly short but effective, then I'll be doing a gentle walk later on with mum's dogs.
