Well done amaura and emummy on your epic runs.

At last I have got back to running outside again. Combination of holidays and other family commitments. Have managed to run on the running machine which isn’t the same.

Lovely 71/2 miles this morning.

7 1/2.

Amaura · 03/11/2021 09:36

Glad you got a nice outside run in @Doublethecuddles

Post race recovery run. 4.5 miles

Is he there in a work capacity or gone to glue himself to something emummy Grin
Nice steady evening run. Think I’m going to have to find the running gloves

Could I join you please?

I fell hugely out of love with running last year ( on reflection I think I used being v busy at work as an excuse to not get out and run...,)
Following a health scare I have kicked myself up the backside and started C25K again this week. I have ran two half marathons on the last so know I can get back to serious running again but would welcome the motivation and sharing experience!

emummy · 04/11/2021 20:38

Definitely work @IRun4Me! At least, that’s what he’s telling me…
Welcome @EsmeraldaFudge! Good luck with C25k, hope you’re fully recovered from your scare.

Steady run in the blustery wind this morning; last long run before the ultra. Lovely sunshine & actually had the wind behind me up the big hill, which was great!

First week back at after a lovely week in the sun on holiday .
Ran 15.5k in total this week over 3 runs feeling rather pleased with myself -- says whilst on a Sunday eve glass of wine GrinConfused

Well done GertrudeOne

Ran 18.5 miles last week and then. 1/2 marathon on Sunday. I really struggled with the 1/2 marathon it was incredibly windy and I don’t think I had eaten enough the day before. I ran out of steam 1/2 way round! I was disappointed with my time, was hoping for under 2 hours and was just over. On the positive side it was my first big race since having my thyroid removed and a bilateral neck dissection for cancer in 2019.

Good luck with the ultra emummy

Those are pretty big positives @Doublethecuddles, well done!

Short run in the sun at lunchtime, a whole 13 degrees, felt like summer!

Social run with friends today. Was rather balmy at 12 degrees.

IRun4Me · 10/11/2021 08:34

Well done on all the good running everyone.
Sounds like you did really well double the cuddles. I was the opposite when I did a half marathon recently, the first half I just couldn’t get into it and could have happily just stopped but then thankfully found my stride. I don’t know if it was suddenly running with lots of people after 18 months.
Short gentle run to add.

Frosty early morning run, the colours of the leaves were spectacular.

IRun4Me · 11/11/2021 08:10

Damp run. Half way through I realised it was actually drizzling rather than just damp.

emummy · 11/11/2021 09:18

Drizzle really soaks in doesn’t it?!
Relaxed slow run for me, last before Saturday’s ultra. Had online race briefing last night, getting nervous now! Weather forecast looks ok so hopefully it will be a good day.

It’s doing me! Left leg caused a lot of problems. Formed a team with a woman with a sore right leg and we got each other to the end! Good day overall, really enjoyable event
