Well done @randomsabreuse, cross country is always a challenge! Our local one is loops as well so you get to run the horrible hills twice.

Easy long run today on the railway path, much less hilly, decided to give my legs a bit of a break ahead of next week’s marathon

Well done randomsabreuse I have done cross country once and never again. The course was round the edge of a ploughed field with lots of hills!
Best of luck with your marathon emummy
PB at Park Run yesterday and a lovely 10 1/2 miles this morning.

Just 19 miles this week. Foot has had a niggle so conceded rest was the right thing

emummy · 12/10/2021 12:00

Hope the foot settles down @Amaura.
Steady run around town this morning, cutting the distance ahead of the weekend to give my old legs a chance!

Couple of runs to add. The child was doing an activity so I’ve run before there before but not when dark. It wasn’t very well lit and very few of the other runners had any reflective gear or lights. There were also lots of groups of people all wearing black and meandering across the whole pathway. It was definitely a bit interesting.

Two runs this week, one hilly and the other along the beach.

Slow & easy trot in the rain. Forgot to add on yesterday’s miles.

Well done emummy.
I did my half yesterday. Went ok but did feel like a struggle for some reason, guess just one of those days. The crowds were great though and definitely kept me going.

Managed to fight off the cold and achieve a PB at the Great South Run - really enjoyed the experience (my first race and my first outing in my club top - support was amazing). I think I was grinning most of the way round, really enjoyed the whole experience. Now looking at what else I can sign up for!

emummy · 18/10/2021 08:21

Brilliant @IRun4Me and @UnaOfStormhold, and congrats on the PB Una!

Well done emummy, @IRun4Me, and UnaOfStormhold on your runs.
Park run on Saturday and a treadmill run yesterday which I don’t enjoy.

I’m not a treadmill fan either @Doublethecuddles!
Easy run this morning, did a bit of walking as one calf felt a bit tight.

Easy run Friday night as was RD at parkrun yesterday, then long run today. Slightly amazed at myself doing a 19 mile run the week after a marathon - at least I have an excuse for being tired!

Had a week off and just a very nice short run in the sun today.

Sounds nice @IRun4Me!
Short run in the dark and the rain this morning, dug out the Proviz gilet for the first time for a while.

A run which I had to force myself out but really enjoyed once out there.
It’s definitely getting darker early.

Well done on getting out.
Short speed session for me, loving the taper!

Went and did the Lulworth Cove Ultra today (was only a bit over 50km). Man those hills soon added up. Almost 2000m

Also got a parkrun and 5km PB a few weekends ago. Turns out rest helps 😁

Saw physio, during my skyrace I hit my knee pretty hard against a rock, and the assumption is the niggles I’ve been having stem from that. So have a few sessions to loosen off the tendons a bit more. Fingers crossed symptoms ease off (especially as my races are done now).

Some cracking achievements there @emummy.

I think I need to add 78 miles for the last few weeks, just in time to help the monthly total

Well done amaura lovely photos.
I’ve been back on the bench for a week as had that cold which went to my chest. Hoping I can try a gentle run tomorrow.

emummy · 01/11/2021 07:41

Glad you're feeling better @IRun4Me.
2 easy runs over the weekend, got properly soaked both times!
