I'm a fat lazy slob! I'm constantly tired, grumpy, frumpy and frazzled! I'm mid forties, my hair has emigrated from my head to my multiple chins, and its time I actually started to turn my dumpy life around. Anyone want to join me? From the 1st January I'm going to start c25k using the NHS app. From 4th January I'll be giving up sugar. My aim is to get fit rather than slim, because I'm such an elephant that trying to set a weight goal will just demotivate me😂.

Sorry no rec on bras- mine is like iron and works really well but it’s ancient and I can’t remember where i got it.

I have ordered a shock absorber. It hasn’t arrived yet though so can’t tell you if it’s any good I’m afraid!

Hi everyone, trainers have arrived and DP is picking up my order of leggings and sports bra from Sainsbury's today. I've only ever ran for a bus in my life, slightly overweight and also used to smoke loads so lungs are buggered. Planning on trying W1r1 this evening but feeling worried I won't be able to do it.

I did week 1 run 1 today on my lunch break. Glad to get myself back into gear. I only ever ran at school (when I was made to!) So this is going to be an experience for me!!

I did W1R2 today. I intended to do it yesterday but for one reason or another it didn't happen. I'm pleased I did it today. I struggled a bit in the middle but I was able to sprint the last bit of the last run. Homeschooling is starting tomorrow so I think I'll be craving a run when DP gets home just to get out of the house!

Argh the new lockdown is scuppering my plans! I can run at weekends but during the week will be hard as I need to be at home with the kids and DH leaves early and gets back late. We have a long garden...I wonder if I can run round that...

You definitely can do it round the garden/even on the spot if needs be. Get the kids to act as hurdles or worse cheerleaders or something 😂

Essentially it's only interval training, walk up and down the stairs for the walking sections and then do a mixture of jumping jacks, jogging on the spot, high knees etc for the running parts it'll still help your cardio stamina even if it's not as good as running outside.

Anyone got a sports bra from M&S? Do you order true to usual bra size or go up/down? I got a gift card for Christmas and am fed up with my one piece vest style one, getting out of it when sweaty is like trying to escape from an angry boa constrictor...

With m&s go up one size around, so I’ve got a 40dd, but am usually a 38e. So definitely need all the support I can get Grin
Freya are also very good. I normally ride once a week, and have found both the m&s and Freya to provide enough support for that.

I want to start this with DD during lockdown. Especially since I caught her sitting on the couch eating chocolate during double PE this morning!

Is there a way to link the NHS app to our phones so we're doing the same thing at the same time? Or do we need a pair of blue tooth headphones each?

I’ve just done w1 no 3, and found it hard going. Did the 30 minutes but had to walk the penultimate run. Should have ran earlier and not this late - feeling tired now. I’ll probably repeat today’s stage.

In my rest/recovery days, I’m trying to walk a mile extra to normal day’s activities, inspired by GOSH fundraising campaign.

Is anyone else doing the c25 on a treadmill.

Now must go and have a bath, ‘cause I’m a little hot and sweaty (tmi)Grin
